Im a big fan of the movie. If you really get into it, and watch it the right way, its a very well done and creepy movie imo. I actually enjoyed the Book of Shadows too.

I was a bit creeped out as a little kid while watching this as night, but overall I really wasnt a fan. Not really scary...just creepy in some parts. I liked Book of Shadows much, much more. Way better then the first crapfest.

The movie sucked. I remember how everyone said it was scary as shit, and when I watched it I wasn't scared one bit, I thought it was stupid and pointless.

I rented this when it first came out on video, and it bored me to the point I fell asleep watching it. I eventually finished it and still did not care for it.
I kinda want to watch the second one, it might be better.

I was into this movie when they made it out like it was real..then about two months before it came out they admitted it was not real I lost interest I rememebr telling my brother and our friend chris and how dispointed he was, they still went and saw it.. I refused to see it,...I was so excited thinking it was gonna be real back then. Guess I was a dumb teen then...
Well I refused to see it..I even saw book of shadows before it... but I finally broke down and watched it in 2004,.. it was ok... not a great as it could have been.. if it was real it would have been the spookiest damn thing I'd ever seen.
But can you beleive people still think it is real I've seen tohers on differend boards claiming that thgis was a remake of the actually documentary that was not allowed to be shown. -_-.. i guess thats their reason for but the actors are alive now thing.

Not the best movie, but I applaud anyone who goes out and does something that's not being done by everyone else. Plus, I liked the ending a lot. If I remember correctly its not all that original. Wasn't cannibal holocaust about a group of filmakers would went out to film a tribe, got killed, footage was found. This was same thing, just a witch. I thought the movie was allright, could have been better. I liked the ending but at the same time hated it. I think they could have done more with the ending.

Cannibal Holocaust was never presumed to be real, it just got confused by some people that watched it as real because they actually killed a few animals for food when they were shooting the movie, and Ruggero Deodato was indicted because Italian courts were told that it was real. Once he stood trial he was cleared of all charges though.

I was saying the blair with idea is not very different from the idea for that movie.

I was saying the blair with idea is not very different from the idea for that movie. In concept, I suppose not. In promotion, however, they were very different. When Blair Witch first came out people were led to believe there was a possibility it could be real. I remember the girl was on Loveline when it first came out, and people were calling in to say stuff like "I'm so glad you're alive, I thought that was a documentary and you were dead!" I heard the filmmakers even paid some of the actors to lay low when the movie first premiered, so people would think there was a possibility they were really dead.

The original TCM looked like newreel footage or something, more than the BW in the remake.
