I was just watching "The Littlest Rebel", and man...Bill "Bojangles" Robinson was a beast in his prime. Rhythmically and jitterbug wise. top 10 all time imo. any tap fans here? The vaudeville era was hot up until Lew Leslie started producing. and now that they're all dead, tap is just not the same.

Bojangles > that damn penguin that sounds like North.
The only person who could come close to Bojangles was Hines...which was rather appropriate, since Hines played Bojangles in a biopic.

I can't agree or disagree, because Disney refuses to let SotS out of the vault for me to watch it. But if they eventually do...my, oh my, it'll be a wonderful day. So instead, I'll just go watch Running Scared and History of the World Part I.

My roommate has it on tape, next time I get the chance I'll make a DVD of it, so I can share the racism with everyone.

WTF are you all talking about? Bill "Bojangles" Robinson, greatest tap-dancer who ever lived. And then the conversation somehow slowly drifted to the topic of Song of the South, a movie that Disney refuses to release in the US because they think it's too racist. But to get back on topic...y'know, for a white guy, Jimmy Cagney was a good tapper. Hell, his tapping even led to one of the greatest ad-libs in cinema history.
