Though I've never seen it, I've heard nothing but great things about the show and I intend on watching the DVDs at some point. But if you already got the first couple discs, why don't you just pop 'em in the DVD player and see how much you like it? Just seems silly to me to get them and then ask about them.

Around here, most people will tell you it's one of the best shows to ever exist. Which it is.
What cracks me up is literally everyone involved with that show is pretty damn famous now, from Judd Apatow (Knocked Up), to John Francis Daly (a bunch of movies, Kitchen Confidential), Martin Starr (actor in Knocked Up), Seth Rogan (Knocked Up, writer and actor in Superbad), Linda Cardellini (Grandma's Boy), James Franco (Harry in Spider-Man series), Jason Segel (Knocked Up) and Paul Feig (who directed a few episodes of Weeds).
Freaks and Geeks rules, in short.

Lindsay (Cardellini), I always thought she was pretty damn good lookin... My favorite episode was when Sam and his friends replaced all of the beer with the non-alcoholic stuff and everyone acted drunk as hell besides Ken, and Bill got legit shit-faced. GODDAMN I miss that show

Paul Feig is far more than just a director of a couple of episodes of "Weeds".

He's also an accomplished author and producer.

It's probably the best show ever made, even though it's like my 7th or 8th favorite.

He's also an accomplished author and producer. To be fair, the only thing he's produced that actually went on to air is Freaks and Geeks, which he also created. He did however direct many episodes of Arrested Development, The Office, and now I believe it's 3 episodes of Weeds. He's written a few television shows and movies, none of which are of any real note, besides of course Freaks and Geeks. I'd say his greatest accomplishments are Kick Me and Superstud. The sheer embarassment that Sam Weir goes through in Freaks and Geeks is nothing compared to Paul Feig's real life misadventures, like going to check on his mom, who had just gotten into a car accident, dressed like a woman. Which he did rather often when he was a young kid. Yes, I know Paul Feig's work, but most people on here aren't familiar with it, so I didn't really delve into everything he's done. But now I have. Does that list satisfy your Paul Feig needs?

You forgot Samm Levine who played Bruce (the not asian, asian) from Not Another Teen Movie Yeah, that's not technically a compliment to mention that. Samm was also in an episode of Entourage and as the horny kid in Club Dread that fries in the pool. He's really the only main cast member that hasn't been in something wildly successful since the show ended. Which is sad, he's a funny guy.

And let me say that if you like the comedy in Freaks and Geeks, and you find it to be one of the best and most realistic shows like this guy and I did, you should definitely pick up Kick Me and Superstud: How I Became a 24 Year Old Virgin, they're both under $10, available at your local Barnes and Noble under Humor, and they're both really quick reads, and well worth your time. And yes, Judd Apatow and Steve Carell did steal the basic idea of a really old virgin from Paul Feig's life.
