What a list Sean. I will need to watch some of those aswell. What is City Of God about? It's a Brazilian film, with subtitles, and the long and short of it is the maturation of a young man around all of the violence, drugs, murder that takes place in a part of Rio de Janeiro. No description, however brief or lengthy, can do the movie justice. You NEED to watch this movie. It may not sound like something you would be interested in, but it is powerful and beautiful. Just get it and watch it without thinking twice.

jesus sean, is there anything you don't like? seriously, i can barely think of any movies that you didn't list... Romantic comedies are a genre I largely ignore. Except when there is a well made, thoughtful one, like Garden State, Amelie or Lost In Translation. But as you can see, that happens very rarely. There are a ton I didn't list, stuff like kids/family movies, definitely not my genre, but I watch the stuff that comes back highly recommended. If I didn't list it, I either didn't like it, or didn't see it.

2002
Not many movies that year. Ill go with bowling for columbine since I really liked it.
2003
Tim Burton gave us Big Fish. Big Fish is one of the greatest movies ever. Tim Burton is my favorite director. So this is obvious.
2004
The Aviator was pretty damn good. Ill take that one.
2005 I have 3
1) The 40 Year Old Virgin. This really stood out from other comedys as being one of the funniest movies I have seen in forever. It proved that sexual humor, if done right, can be amazingly funny
2) Lord Of War- This movie was great.
3) Crash- I never relalised how great this movie was until about a month ago. I thought it would be overrated but now I see why it was praised, because it does relate alot to what goes on.
2006
1) The Departed- This movie was amazing. At the same time the action was great, you had to think what was going on, which made it a great movie.
2) Clerks II- People who say this movie wasnt funny, wouldnt know funny if it crawled up their ass hole and jumped out their noses. This is arguably Smith's best.
3) Letters from Iwo Jima- I absolutely loved this movie. Couldn't have been better IMO.
4) Talledega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby- I hadnt laughed harder that year. One of my all time favorite movies.
2007
1) Alpha Dog- Say what you will, this was a great movie. I thought the acting was great. I forgot JT was JT and believed he was Frankie, same with Emile and Anton did. One of Ben Foster's bests role, even if it was inbetween Minor and Major.
2) Superbad/Knocked Up- I put these in the same part because Seth Rogen did both of these. Not many great comedies came out this year, so these were the saviors (or Chris Jericho's) of comedy. I cant think of another comedy that came out this year that I enjoyed tbh.
3)Bourne Supremecy- My favorite movies. The first was hand to hand combat, the second was guns, this was both mixed with cliffhangers and alot of parts that left you wondering. It leads me to wonder weither they will continue the series with the books that weren't written by Ludlum.
4) Southland Tales- I decided to throw my middle finger in Roger Ebert's face and go see this movie. It was suprisingly a hell of a movie. You really had to think through the whole movie to understand it, my dad and my friend never got it until I explained this whole thing to them.
5) Grindhouse- Quentin Tarantino. Robert Rodreguiez. Double movie. Guns. Explosions. Need I say more?
6)Michael Clayton- Amazing. I think thats all I can utter about this movie.
7) Ratatouille- Now Im not one for going out to kid's movies, but I loved this. Even if you are into Saw and Hostel, give this movie a chance. Your soft side will love it, and if not, go jump onto a plate of thumbtacks and watch Saw.

Of all the movies to bump a 14 year old thread to, Identity!? You had 19 years worth of movies to choose from. If you had said something like Inglorious Basterds or a similar big movie then that’d be fine, but Identity!?
