Ain't It Cool News reports that Batman himself Christian Bale is to become a part of the Terminator franchise next year.
The site indicates that Bale has been cast as John Connor in the upcoming fourth feature film "Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins" for Warner Bros. Pictures.
McG is helming the project which begins shooting early 2008 and hopes to kick off a new trilogy of future-set films covering the war between humanity and the robots of Skynet.
The project is on target for a Summer 2009 release.
Wow... I didn't have high hopes AT ALL for the next Terminator movie. They proved my ass dead wrong.

There are conflicting reports out there though, some say he'll be playing John Connor, others are saying he'll be playing the Terminator himself. I guess only time will tell.
Either way, I've been waiting for this movie since the first one, because this is going to be the all out war between humans and machines. I'll be there to see it.

I have always thought the only way a new Terminaor series would work with out Arnie would be if it were set in the future and the majority of Terminators were in there robot skeleton forms.

They just sold an extra movie ticket. Any movie with Bale is must see. And I'm glad his talent is recognized, seeing as how everyone in the thread feels the same way  |

They shouldn't have Terminator bots with a human skin on them since Arnold isn't in the film. The whole point of them looking like that in the previous films was so they could "blend in" |

As most said anything with Bale is a must see. So I will see it. I had plans to see it before since im kinda a Terminator fan but with Bale to the mix(if true) I will love it even more.

Bale recently passed Nicholson as my favorite actor, so if he's in it he'll make it watchable.

That is great. I was kinda realizing that they are making this fourth movie and the Sarah Connors chronicles is on TV I think so the movie would just be a semi rip of the TV series to kinda promote it but with Bale they really have a coup now.
