I am a MASSIVE fan of Bruce Springsteen and my parents have got my tickets to see him and the E Street Band live in Manchester here in the UK in May next year.
Every review that i've read have said it's always a spectacular show, but wondered if anybody here has ever been and your opinions on it?
I can't wait!

I personally have not, but one of my best friends said he was amazing. He played for around 3 hours and had as much energy as a 20 year old according to him.
Have fun at the show, I'm going to try and catch him sometime next year.

I'm very strongly considering going to see him in Minneapolis on this tour.

Holy crapdo ANYTHING to see The Boss live. My brother and I debate the best concert we've seen and we leave him out because no one really compares to him. The shows have so much ing energy it's unbelievable. I've seen him and the E Street Band once and really need to again. Rumors are he'll have Arcade Fire opening next year, if it true, I seriously might die from the amazing concert experience.

Does he play "Born in the USA" in the UK? haha. Actually on the Rising tour he played a modified version of it. He just recently started playing "Dancing in the Dark" again. With big Springsteen fans the "Born in the USA" albums aren't highly regarded and considered some of his worst songs. Mainly because it was an album of "hits" rather than just great songs.

My friends and I disagree.

Absolutely. I actually don't like BITUSA at all except for "No Surrender" (the acoustic version of it from his Live 75-85 compilation is my favorite song of all-time) because all it is, is a collection of singles. Dancing in the Dark is about my least favorite Bruce track ever released... Little Steven himself said that he fought strongly against it being included on the album altogether because they all disliked it so strongly. Bruce wrote the song in like 15 minutes because his producer said the album "needed another hit" on it. But all kidding aside, I've seen Bruce live 7 or 8 times now, and every show is just incredible. He's such a gifted live performer, and arguably the best lyricist of all-time (in my estimation, anyway).
