Hey uh I got a Q. You know the band The Killers? Whats your opinion of them?
I think that theyre very efeminate and I heard the lead singer Brandon Flowers makes out with Dave Keunig on stage. I also listened to the song Andy Your a Star and I know they played their first gigs in gay bars.
Even though they are certefiably gay, I still enjoy the music. However I dont let my friends know I like them (cause then Id be gay) and id never go to a concert.
My Question: Who are theyre main fanbase, and what do you think about them?

I haven't heard all of that stuff. But they are one band I simply cannot stand either way.

theyve got worse over the years however, I like them alot still. I love Bones and Read my Mind off the album Sams town.

While they may act a little fruity on stage being a fan of theirs does not make you gay. I love them to death and I am not gay. If your friends would automatically consider you gay for liking The Killers then you need new friends, preferably ones that are not complete idiots.

I really wasn't so much into them until "Sam's Town."
They're songs constantly build, and have a unique sound to them. I saw The Killers live at the Abbey Road on TV, and it was fantastic.
Gay or not, pretty good stuff. I honestly think many people are scared to admit to saying they like the Killers.
Also, the video for Bones, by Tim Burton, is awesome.
and in Read my Mind, Flowers kisses David, while they are riding the bikes.
If you need some pooter, put on some Killers, girls dig them atleast. even if you dont.

yeah, wasn't brandon like engaged only a year or two ago.
I love them, they are my favourite band and people not liking them because they have Exuberant tastes and often boarder on Bisexual Glamrock is no reason to hate a band that produces music that only gets better.

The Killers; Gay?
I have no idea where that one is coming from. They may of started out in gaybars, but when bands start out, they will take gigs anywhere. Only way I would understand where you are coming from, is if you are like 13 years old. I know for a fact Brandon Flowers is not gay and neither is the rest of the band. They have been labeled as 'camp' and over the top... but not as gay men, a band for gay people or anything like that.
I, myself am gay and a huge fan of the band. All my mates are huge fans of the band and they arent gay. Its all about your taste of music and not if a band is 'gay'. But anyway on to their music. Both albums have been great. Songs that stand out for are... "When You Were Young", "Mr Brightside", "Smile Like You Mean It", "Bones", "Uncle Johny" and "Read My Mind"... hell all their songs are great!

Brandon Flowers is married and has a newborn baby, so I don't think it's likely that he's gay... I've never heard of them making out on stage either. I really like them anyway, one of my favourite bands, and I'm certaintly not gay either, so liking them has nothing to do with that. And Andy You're A Star isn't about being gay, it's about a jock that Brandon Flowers went to school with who always had girls after him or something. |

Wow. I never knew they were gay.
Even though they are, they're still one of my favorite bands.
Mr. Brightside, When You Were Young, and Bones are great songs.
Even if I knew they were gay, I'd still like their music. I don't think it really matters.
That is, unless your a homophobe.

I honestly think this whole kissing non-sense, is over the video for "Read my Mind."
While they are riding the different sized bikes, Flowers runs into and kisses David the drummer, on the cheek.
I dunno where the whole making out on stage is from.
I must say, Brandon Flowers is the best dressed person on stage, i have seen them twice touring for both albums, and his outfits are alot of the time just as entertaining as their songs.

I am a massive fan of The Killers.
I have been to 3 of their shows and the audience seems to be pretty much the same as the audiences at the Goo Goo Dolls shows I've been to.
I think their sound is really cool and I'm really digging the new tunes on Sawdust.

They are very homoerotic, but I'm comfortable to admit I like them.
I started liking the Killers after the first time I listened to Mr. Brightside, I like their stuff but Im not a big fan or intense follower. But I will say that When You Were Young is the funnest Guitar Hero song ever.
