You've got:
Booker T Sting Kurt Angle Christian Cage Junior Fatu Rhyno many former stars.
I think this is great. You could see Booker T vs. Scott Steiner and Booker T vs. Sting again.

Just because you have well-known stars, doesn't mean its going into the competiton route. Yeas I know you said its great, btu never say its like wwe/wcw. And when did Booker debut?

I've always felt that TNA was becoming more like WCW...but your logic isn't really all that convincing.
I mean, if there are only two nationally-recognized promotions, and you get released from one of them, your only choices are to go to the other one, or wallow in the indies. Therefore, a lot of former WWE talents end up in TNA.

No one bitched when McMahon stole stars in the 80s. No one bitched when WCW stole stars in the 90s. Yet now in the 00s, TNA is ging to get bitched at for doing something smart and signing reconizable established stars to make their company grow?
Please, you noobs have no idea what you are talking about.

TNA are just using available big name stars to draw casual interest to their product just like vince did in the '80's by just about stealing everyone & then how Bischoff did in the 90's with Hogan/Hall.Nash. It's a smart business practise, the only problem is that TNA despite some serious star power has still had little increase in business. Really look at the stars they have right now who are well known Angle/ Christian/ Nash/ Steiners/ Sting etc & so far no real ratings boost, WTF? Lots of rumours of RVD, Booker T, big Show & Scott hall coming in but will this make any difference?

Yeah You ask who Kurt Angle is and people will probably know who you're talking about, You ask them about Alex Shelly or Samoa Joe and people will be like " Who are those Guys? "

ALLLLRIGHT!!!!!!! TNA IS NOW THE OFFICIAL RETIREMENT HOME FOR WRESTLERS! Why is it that the the common thought here is that a wrestler's career must be over after leaving the WWE?

Those of you bitching about the reject argument are not getting the point. TNA has brought in all these guys that are already established guys from WWE/WCW/ECW. The difference is that TNA has done only that. Let's take Hogan, Nash and Hall for example.
Hulk Hogan - He did come into WCW with the red and yellow. Then he made the revolutionary heel turn into "Hollywood" Hogan. WCW re-invented Hogan, his heel turn was refreshing and revolutionary.
Kevin Nash - Did he have the 'Diesel' persona in WCW? No, he was referred to as just Kevin Nash and tagged with Scott Hall as "The Outsiders" and became one of the most dominating teams in WCW. Again, something new.
Scott Hall - I don't recall seeing the Razor Ramon character in WCW either. Why? They re-invented him as well, just they did with Kevin Nash and the entire nWo.
The point I'm trying to make is that sure WCW stole a lot of Vince's stars, but at least they made an attempt to renew some of the guys. TNA is just doing a simple 'copy and paste' from WWE/WCW/ECW. The guys are recognized as WWE stars, not TNA stars, simply because TNA didn't do anything to establish them as a TNA star. The only thing different about these guys is their names, because of legal issues.
Team 3D - Again, the only different thing about these guys is their name, that's it. Other than that they are the same guys they were in WWE (or WCW).
Christian Cage - The exact heel that I saw in WWE, only he's in the main event, as opposed to midcard.
Junior Fatu - Dancing, and the stinkface. Nope, TNA didn't come up with that either.
Kurt Angle - Olympic gold medalist, same heel character. Already seen it in another promotion.
Sting - Don't get me wrong, my favorite wrestler of all time. White face paint, black trenchcoat, black baseball bat, yup just like in WCW.
The point that I'm trying to make again is that all these guys that TNA is signing are already recognized as WWE guys. These guys are considered rejects because TNA hasn't done a thing to re-establish them as TNA guys. I'm not saying that they can't be the same in another promotion, but when half of your roster is externally established stars, then of course I'm going to notice that. Not to mention having the WWE guys make the TNA guys look weak.

So what, Your asking guys like Sting and Angle to turn their Gimmicks? Sting and Angle have been Known for their Gimmick, It would be stupid to to reject them ( Although the Crow/Surfer Sting look he had at BFG 06 was awesome and He should of kept on with that, If he had bothered to go to the Gym ).
Also with Razor Ramon and Diesel, They couldn't use the names due to Copyright, Scott Hall and Nash still acted like the Gimmicks anyways, Especially Scott Hall, Hogan NEEDED a Heel Turn, He had the Gimmick for like 10 Years Straight you would be stupid not to give him a Heel turn, thats why People started watching WCW WHEN Hogan had his Heel turn, It was Needed for the Business and for Hogan himself.

WHen WCW brouhg in these new guys it was for a reason, and it was a fresh storyline. Also people actually cared. None of that applies to TNA with the exception of Angle/Cage. the only thing TNA is doing like WCW is slowly running themselves into the ground for crap that they think people wamt to see.

Sting and Angle have been Known for their Gimmick, It would be stupid to to reject them ( Although the Crow/Surfer Sting look he had at BFG 06 was awesome and He should of kept on with that, If he had bothered to go to the Gym ). *Looks at my last post...* I'm not saying that they can't be the same in another promotion I think that's what I said. Perhaps mentioning Sting kind of contradicted my point. Also with Razor Ramon and Diesel, They couldn't use the names due to Copyright, Scott Hall and Nash still acted like the Gimmicks anyways, Especially Scott Hall Last time I checked I don't ever recall Diesel or Razor Ramon running out to the ring attacking other stars and spray painting 'nWo' on their backs. Neither did the 'immortal' Hulk Hogan. They were not the 'rebellious outlaws' in WWE like they were in WCW. Hogan NEEDED a Heel Turn, He had the Gimmick for like 10 Years Straight you would be stupid not to give him a Heel turn, thats why People started watching WCW WHEN Hogan had his Heel turn, It was Needed for the Business and for Hogan himself. Exactly my point. Hogan was reinvented, he was reborn; and that's what got people watching. It's not all about reinventing former stars. I'm simply addressing why people have a problem with who TNA signs. Considering that TNA has a tendency to sign guys that are already established, of course we're going to roll our eyes when they sign a former WWE star. Bottom line is this. TNA brings in Christian Cage, eh, helps TNA a tad. TNA brings in Sting, he helps a little. TNA brings in both Steiners at different times, nothing. TNA brings in Kurt Angle, nothing. TNA brings in the Bashams, nothing. TNA brings in Test, nothing. TNA brings in Rikishi, nothing. Clearly, this 'big name' argument is not cutting it, otherwise TNA would be skyrocketing.

But you also have to put into the equation that WWE has been getting record low ratings Raw was below a 3.0 a few weeks back for the first time in years, the wrestling business is going through a drought right now even though WWE is drawing triple what TNA is you also need to realize how long WWE has been around and TNA much less how long TNA has had a prime-time show it's gonna take some WCW was struggling for a while they were losing money year after year and if they didn't have Ted Turner backing them they would have went out of business long before they had the chance to turn the corner it's gonna take TNA sometime and I admit I don't agree with how they use their time and some of the matches and feuds aren't too great but you gotta admit it's nice to have new wrestlers and of course you'll get the casual fan with Sting and Angle being on there but some of those casual fans will stick around once the see what some of these to them "no names" can do and they'll tell friends about it and after a while it'll start to catch on (i apologize for my lack of proper grammar and sentence structure)
