The biggest snub was Eddie Vedder for the "Into The Wild" soundtrack. There was some stupid rule put into place about scores and soundtracks and neither the soundtrack, nor the song he did titled "Guaranteed", which won the f'n Golden Globe for Best Song no less, could be nominated. Bullcrap.

The academy's excuse for not nominating Vedder's score was it was "too song based." And like that one guy said, Downey for in' supporting actor.

Are we only referring to this year?
I'd guess the Simpsons probably should've at least been nominated for Best Animated Feature, even though it wouldn't deserve the win.

I absolutely think 3:10 to Yuma should have gotten a Best Picture nomination. Juno was a cute little movie, but it definitely wasn't one of the 5 best movies of the entire year...
