Rage Against the Machine were in' crazy to see live! Amazing show and crowd. TOOL is a great show to see that's very atmospheric. Definitely more of a "show." Alter Bridge just rock live! Amazing talent in the band and getting to hear Myles vocals in person is earth shattering!

My top-10 favorites that I've seen: - Robert Randolph & The Family Band
- Dave Matthews Band
- The Allman Brothers Band
- Guns N Roses
- Metallica
- Atmosphere
- Gov't Mule
- North Mississippi All-Stars
- Kid Rock
- Tool
And if I had seen them, I'm sure Phish would have been up there.

I kinda have complaints about most acts I've seen live. Guns N' Roses in 2006 was probably the best I've seen. Axl had his crap together, the band was tighter than I've seen them(I've never seen the original lineup), and the set was solid.
Avenged Sevenfold puts on a nice show, but the set is usually too short. When they ended their show, I was like... "Was that it?..." However, the tickets were like 35 bucks... so I guess you get what you pay for.
Van Halen this time around is really tight. On the last Sammy Tour, Eddie was a mess... This time around he really has his crap together. While not perfect vocally, Dave gets the job done, and performs the songs you would expect them to hear.
My one complaint about Bon Jovi is the fact that Jon can't sing most of the really popular songs in the key they are supposed to be sung, some of them he doesn't sing at all. All things considered, he isn't that old yet, and his voice should be in a little better shape. You kinda have to be into the newer stuff(which I am) to really enjoy a current show, because the classic stuff is really toned down and flat sounding.

Dresden Dolls are probably the best I've seen live. Ozzy, The Blood Brothers, and Wednesday 13 are great too. The Dolls are awesome live, but the crowds suck. I'm 50/50 on that one. The first time I saw them, the crowd was really cool and it was a lot of fun. The second time I saw them wasn't so great. But a lot of that was that it was in a seated theatre. Those aren't as good to begin with. And there were some jerks down from us who kept calling security when people would stand up. Until the Dolls made everyone stand up, that is

I never got to see them before City of Evil was released so I can't speak about those shows but the show of theirs I caught was incredibly short for a headlining rock band. CKY's set before them was just as long, maybe longer.

I remember after you saw his solo act, you had a boner for him that lasted several weeks.

Because it was a more intimate setting, it was in a small club, about 250 people at most, and Ron chilled out and spoke to everyone... he is the most down to earth musician you will ever meet... and he puts on a heck of a show.

Guns N' Roses put on a great show. Axl was at the top of his game when I saw him in 2006, so was Bumblefoot, and the rest of the gang. The only problem was they got on at 12:45, but Sebastian Bach and Helmet made up for that I guess. They played for about 2 1/2 hours.
Velvet Revolver also, put on a great, intense show. Especially at smaller venues, they tear through about 16 or so songs and don't miss a beat. I love how they added more GN'R and STP songs to their set nowadays. In fact, I'll be seeing them tommorrow, since it'll probably be the last time they ever tour.

I've always gotten the feeling that Jon Bon Jovi is slightly turned off by his 80's days. I get the feeling that he changes the old songs around to try to modernize them to fit what he's doing now.

Her voice is incredible Stop rubbing in the fact that you saw Elton John live you bastard. He still tours some. You can still see him one day! I saw him in 1994 I think. It was on the tour for "The One." It was in an outdoor ampitheater, and it rained like hell the entire concert. It sucked at first, but once you were soaked, it kind of added to the fun. Everyone was soaked, and singing their asses off. Riding home soaking wet sucked ass though. Honestly, I highly recommend anyone seeing him. The guy has so many great songs, it doesn't even make sense. He didn't play Crocodile Rock though. He also does a dual tour with Billy Joel, which is supposed to be awesome, but it kind of sucks, because each of them can do a 3 hour show. My next goal is to catch a Springsteen concert. Not the biggest fan, but his shows are supposed to be amazing.
