Well.
Mastodon I didn't really enjoy, was too loud to make out anything other than the odd rhythm and the occasional "raaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwr"
Machine Head rocked hard, the pit was loving them, there was also a circle of fun going.
HIM were not received well at all. I think being as it was a metal gig, 'tallica fans didn't want HIM there. The crowd gave them crapall through the performance, 100's of people waving middle fingers to the music, throwing beer onto the stage etc. Ville walked straight off after 3/4 of the set.
Metallica were out of this world, top drawer vocals, guitar, bass, drums, everything. They had this kick ass pyro crapgoing off for One and Enter Sandman. Their song setlist was pretty flawless. Rob did this amazing bass solo that you have to see if it gets up on youtube.

Sounds like you had an awesome time Bam. I saw Metallica back in 05 and it was awesome, they had the pyro and all that other shit, it was probably the best concert that I have been too. Did you get an encore out of Metallica?

That sucks, when I went we got Enter Sandman as like a fake encore. (everyone knew that they were coming back to play another song) Then we got to hear Jump In The Fire as an actual encore. Anyways it sounded like an awesome concert. Nice poses Hellboy, there actually really good considering you probably were not trying. |

That sucks that nobody really liked HIM seeing as (in my opinion) thier the better band out of all those. Metallica hasn't written anything good in I dont know how long. Why HIM would play a show with those band I still dont know, its obvious the crowd is way diff.

We did get Sandman, It was more or less the fake encore thing like you mentioned.
Most of the stuff they played was from the first 5 albums, first 4 would have bene perfect although you can't really expect them to not play ES, NEM etc
