Thank you noname for the idea, and thank you stick figure animations board for the original thread.
Basically this works the same as the beginners thread at the stick figure board:
wfigs.proboards48.com/index.cgi?board=stickani&action=display&thread=1157866123
Rules:
1. DO NOT FIGHT in this thread, keep all the fighting in the chat thread. It is best not to fight, but even I can not follow that rule for long. Only constructive criticism is allowed in this thread. This thread is to help the beginners to improve their posing, not for complaining about how crappy the posers are. If you think you are better than someone, settle it in a PBL.
2. STRINGLESS POSES are only to be posted in this thread. It doesn't matter if you're a veteran or a noob, ranging from brm, to timeout, to those newbies with their hands in their poses. All stringless poses belong in here, no matter how good it is, no matter how hard you tried. This includes submission one-pics like sharpshooters, crossfaces, ankle locks, etc.
3. BIG PICTURES are to be posted in here only, no matter how good it is. Nobody wants to see big pics, it is hard to tell what is going on. The biggest pic size should be 492x369. If you are not sure about how big your picture is, open your picture up with paint and check the attributes. It doesn't matter how good the quality is, the pic does not need to be that big.
4. If you think you did a pose that is good and you tried hard on it, feel free to post it in the main board, but people have the right to bash it, complain about it, and say anything they want. If you did a pose that you thought was not one of your better ones, post it here for better advice.
5. This thread is also for those certain people who seem to come here to post their new figures in "action shots" that are either stare-downs, a figure holding a belt, or anything that shows off their new figures without actually doing anything. If you took a picture of your figure doing something that you like, post it here. This includes any pics with a figure "posing," like Randy Orton with his arms spread, Sandman with his cane above his head, etc. All of that belong in here.
6. PBL matches of any kind are posted in the main board, no matter who is in them. It could range from SAWF vs Cass to timeout vs Hoo-Rah. All matches are posted in the main board so everyone can vote. PBL challenges are also to be made outside this thread. An exception would be if you are challenging someone face to face that is active in this thread.
7. You get three warnings if you post outside this thread and should not be. After the third warning, all your poses will be locked and deleted. This would be much easier if I was mod, but looking at my warning levels and my record, that would not be happening in a long time.
8. This is not really a rule for this thread, but it might be useful. Please try to get a BLANK BACKGROUND for your poses. It is horrible to look at poses with backgrounds like a sofa, a table, a tv, or any other objects in a room. Get a black, white, grey, blue, any blank color background, preferbly black or white. Backgrounds with objects in them ruin the picture, no matter how good it is.
Let me know if you want a rule added.
