GCW Pure Title Tournament Night 1Small Event Held at Paddington Club in South UK, in front of 276 fans.Opening Match, Single Match – James Hernandez VS Walter MorganThis was a good match. Walter Morgan was a big fan favourite. Both men did a good job. For the beginning of the match Walter Morgan dominated James and locked in a few holds here and there. James would fight back and use a thumb to the eye to gain advantage. From there he took control and kept Morgan down on the mat. He locked in some armbars and leglocks. He would also do some really hard stiff kicks to side of Morgan to keep him down. After a while James went to the top rope to finish him off. Suddenly Morgan sprung to life. He jumped onto the turnbuckle and quickly hit a huge superplex off the top. From there the fight continued quite evenly until James used the referee to stop Morgan’s attack. Morgan shoved the ref out of the way allowing James to hit a hard shot below the belt. Morgan almost went down until James rolled him up. 1…2…Kick Out! James couldn’t believe it. He instantly charged on him however Morgan was playing possum and quickly locked him tight in a Guillotine Choke. After a few seconds James Hernandez finally tapped out! Walter Morgan defeated James Hernandez by submission with a Guillotine choke.Rating: D+ Single Match – Rod ‘The God’ Todd VS Edward CornellEdward Cornell made his debut in GCW as he went up against Rod Todd. Rod is still on his quest to take out Joey Beauchamp and become Pure Champion. Edward did a good job in his debut he really impressed. Early on Rod dominated the rookie however after a little bit Cornell began fighting back and after a big of fighting he was able to take Rod off his feet and take full control of the match. Cornell then used his speed and athleticism to beat down on Rod. Near the end of the match Edward lifted up Rod for a suplex but instead slingshots him off the top rope. It looks like his going for The Rough Ride, a signature move his famous cousin Tommy Cornell, however Rod breaks free and lands on his feet behind him. He turns him around and kicks him in the midsection. From there Rod lifted him up onto his back in Crucifix position. He then dropped him down for a huge Crucifix Powerbomb. 1…2…3! Rod 'The God' Todd defeated Edward Cornell by pinfall with a Crucifix Powerbomb.Rating: DSingle Match – Jed High VS Steve ParkerAnother good match tonight. This time it was the return of Jed High. Jed High made his return and came right in to get that Pure Title shot. He and Steve did a really good job. Jed High had a good following from the crowd. The match was even the whole way through with lots of counters. Neither man ever took full control of the match. In the end of it all though Steve Parker got knocked off the top rope and so Jed High climbed up to hit his finisher. However he landed wrong as Steve Parker rolled out of the way of the splash. Steve then lifted up Jed High and went to hit the Future Shock however Jed High rolled through it and into a pin. He only got a 2 though as Steve rolled through into another pin which also got a 2. Jed High rolled back into his old pin and once again got a 2. Steve this time rolled a different way and was able to get his legs on the ropes. 1…2…3! Steve Parker defeated Jed High by pinfall with a rollup.Rating: D+ Single Match – Joey Beauchamp VS Jason CaineThe main event and the final match of Round One was a good match. Joey Beauchamp & Jason Caine are definitely not strangers to each other. Both men right at the other. The ref had to keep breaking it up to begin with. Finally the ref got the match under control and Joey & Jason began to wrestle properly. Joey took early advantage after a knee to the midsection. From there he began beating down on Jason Caine. Joey really laid into Jason Caine but Jason would keep coming back for more. Finally Jason was able to take advantage after he dodged a clothesline and hit a nice neckbreaker. Jason then began beating down on Joey and after some stiff shots to the face Joey had a bloody nose. The ref dragged Jason off of him and began checking on Joey who slowly got to his feet. From there Joey & Jason just tore into each other. Lots of stiff strikes to each other and Jason got a bloodied lip. Finally it stopped and Jason took Joey down with a spear. Jason then set him up for a Superkick. Joey got to his feet and Jason went for it. Joey dodged it though and went for the Breeze Block. However Jason blocked it and hit a headbutt on Joey forcing him to turn around. Jason then hit a superkick right to the back of the head of Joey knocking him down. Jason is about to go for the pin when the Pure Champion Josh Caine appears from backstage. Jason Caine walks to the side of the ring and begins shouting words at the champion. Josh claims he isn’t here to fight with his brother but Jason doesn’t trust him and tries to tell the referee to make him leave. The ref says he can’t do anything and so Jason just forgets about it and goes back to Joey. Suddenly Joey is back to his feet and comes out of nowhere with The Breeze Block. 1…2…3! After the mach Joey leaves the ring to celebrate while Josh Caine gets into the ring. Josh Caine waits for his brother to stand and then suddenly runs and slams the title belt across his skull. Josh then lays on top of him and begins punching him hard in the face. He bloodies him up quite badly before dragging him to the corner. Jason can hardly stand as he tries to walk out of the corner. Josh then once again hits him with the Pure Title knocking him to the ground. Josh then gets out of the ring and shouts some abuse to ringside before going over to the announce table. He takes off all the stuff from it and then gets back into the ring. He grabs Jason and drags him to the outside. He shoves him onto the announce table and then climbs up with him. From there he hits a huge Caine Cutter right through the announce table. Finally Josh leaves while Jason gets attended to by EMT’s. Joey Beauchamp defeated Jason Caine by pinfall with a Breeze Block.Rating: D+Final Rating: D+Quick Results:- Walter Morgan def. James Hernandez
- Rod ‘The God’ Todd def. Edward Cornell.
- Steve Parker def. Jed High.
- Joey Beauchamp def. Jason Caine.

Tuesday, Week 2, October 2008Last night GCW held Night 1 of the GCW Pure Tournament. It was said to be a good show and the fans enjoyed it.
Jed High made his return to GCW after he left early this year in January. Jed High is said to be happy with his second chance and its expected he will receive a good push. Right now GCW will probably team him back up with Toby Yuan Kanobi as The Force.
Edward Cornell impressed a lot backstage. He is going to be built up quite slowly to begin with and so probably for the next couple of months he will mainly be used in Dark Matches before appearing on the main show.
Last night four men advanced to the second round of the Pure Title tournament and they are, Walter Morgan, Rod 'The God' Todd, Steve Parker, & Joey Beauchamp. GCW has announced the second round matches for Thursday night.
Steve Parker VS Rod 'The God' Todd
Joey Beauchamp VS Walter Morgan
The winners of these two matches will face each other in the main event on Thursday. Then whoever wins that will go on to face Josh Caine next week at Fright Night for the Pure Title.

GCW Pure Title Tournament Night 2Small Event Held at Paddington Club in South UK, in front of 250 fans.Opening Match, Single Match – Steve Parker VS Rod ‘The God’ ToddThis was a good match. Rod did a great job although Parker seemed to be a bit off his game tonight. The match was one sided early on. Rod Todd really gave Steve a beating. Steve would fight back and ended up pulling the ropes down forcing Rod to clothesline himself over the top rope. This gave Steve Parker some time to rest before he got back to his feet. Steve then jumped over the top rope and landed hard on top of Rod. Both men lay out on the floor for a while before finally both men slowly got to their feet and rolled into the ring. Steve Parker got in first and as soon as Rod gets in he begins his attack. He begins stomping away at Todd making sure he stays on the ground. He then drops a nice legdrop before moving on to a nice sleeper hold. From there Steve Parker had control of the match. Finally in the end however Steve Parker tried to climb the top rope however Rod got to his feet to quickly. He ran to Steve and hit him on the back before climbing up to. From there Rod turned around so his back was facing Steve’s back. He then hoisted Steve up into Crucifix position before planting him down to the amt hard with a Crucifix Powerbomb. 1…2…3! Rod 'The God' Todd defeated Steve Parker by pinfall with a Crucifix Powerbomb.Rating: D Single Match – Joey Beauchamp VS Walter MorganThe final match of the second round between two great wrestlers. This was a really good match and both men were crowd favourites. Half the crowd cheered Walter Morgan however the other half cheered for Joey Beauchamp. The whole match was 50/50 with neither man taking full control. Both men used every counter they could to reverse whatever the other would try on them. One point Joey Beauchamp hit a nice superkick to the face of Morgan however Joey ran out of steam and fell to the mat allowing Morgan to get back up. From there the fight between the two continued. Finally Morgan tried to lock in a Guillotine Choke on Joey but Joey forced Morgan away. Joey then went for the Breeze Block but Morgan reversed that into a Guillotine Choke. The choke is locked in tight and Joey’s life is slowly leaving his body. Joey’s arm drops to the mat and he seems like his out of it. The ref lifts up his arm and it drops back to the mat for the count of 1. The ref then lifts it a second time and once again it drops back to the mat for 2. For the 3rd time however his hand doesn’t hit the mat as Joey begins ot fight back. Morgan can’t believe it. Suddenly Joey rolls out of the Guillotine Choke and into a rollup but only gets a 2 count. Morgan then goes for another Guillotine Choke but Joey gets away. He then comes out of nowhere and hits The Breeze Block. 1…2…3! Joey Beauchamp moves on to the final to face Rod ‘The God’ Todd. Suddenly the lights in the arena go out. After a few seconds they finally come back on as Rod Todd is standing behind Joey Beauchamp. Joey turns around and Rod instantly attacks. Rod turns to the ref and tells him to ring the bell to begin the Final match. Joey Beauchamp defeated Walter Morgan by pinfall with a Breeze Block.Rating: D+Single Match – Pure Tournament Final – Joey Beauchamp VS Rod ‘The God’ ToddThe match is begun straight away with Rod still beating down on Joey Beauchamp. Rod then lifts him up and tries a Crucifix Powerbomb straight away however Joey isn’t ready to quit yet as he reverses into a crucifix pin. 1…2…Kick Out! Joey then comes out of nowhere with a dropkick knocking Rod Todd out of the ring allowing Joey to get his breath back. From there the match continued with both men battered and bruised. Joey Beauchamp puts up more of a fight then Rod expected. He thought he would be too hurt to do anything. Joey controlled the match quite a bit and hit some nice moves on Rod including a German Suplex off the top rope. Rod would comeback though and hit a Crucifix Powerbomb over the ropes to the outside. Joey landed hard on the ground beside the ring and began holding his back like it could be broken. Rod doesn’t care as he gets out and begins beating down on Joey. The ref forgets about the count out and just tries to break them up. Rod lifts up the steel steps and places them right next to the announced table. Rod takes Joey onto the steps and lifts him up for a Crucifix Powerbomb. He goes to deliver it on to the announced table but Joey fights it. He rolls backwards over Rod’s head and lands his feet on the table. He then pulls Rod’s head in between his legs and pulls him up off the steps. He then sits down slamming Rod’s head down hard with a Piledriver through the announce table. Both men are out and the crowd begins chanting Holy crap! The ref checks on both men and calls to the back for EMT’s. When they finally get to ringside however Joey Beauchamp gets to his feet with help from the barricade. Joey shoves the EMT’s out of the way and lifts Rod up to his feet. HE rolls Rod into the ring and then slides in with him. He tells the ref this match isn’t over yet. He then turns to Rod and tries to hit a Breeze Block but Rod reverses it and tries to lift Joey up for a Crucifix Powerbomb again. However Joey once again fights it and breaks it. He turns Rod around and tries a Superkick but Rod catches his foot and spins Joey around. He kicks him in the midsection and lifts him back up. Finally Rod plants him down with a Crucifix Powerbomb. 1…2…3! After the match Rod Todd and Joey Beauchamp get to their feet and shake hands to a great ovation from the crowd. Josh Caine then comes from the back and stands at the entrance staring at Rod. Rod turns his head and points to the Pure Champion before having his hand held in the air by Joey Beauchamp. Rod 'The God' Todd defeated Joey Beauchamp by pinfall with a Crucifix Powerbomb.Rating: C-Final Rating: D+Quick Results:- Rod ‘The God’ Todd def. Steve Parker

Friday, Week 2, October 2008Last night GCW held Night 2 of the Pure Title Tournament. People seemed to have enjoyed the show although some felt it was too short and was hoping there would have been one more match.
Rod 'The God' Todd won the tournament in the end after beating Joey Beauchamp in a great match. Currently people are suspecting Rod to go over Josh to become the new Pure Champion. Rod is seen as a great wrestler and a future main eventer. However possibility of Josh retaining the belt is still there. His trip to the main event may not happen just yet so he could hold onto the Pure Title a bit longer.
Joey Beauchamp shaking hands with Rod Todd and celebrating his victory with him was looked at as Joey's face turn. He has become quite popular lately and GCW felt that he may work well as a face at the moment. Currently their are plans to push Joey up a bit. He may get another Pure Title reign sometime or he may be partnered up with another wrestler to form a tag team. Currently neither idea is 100% but look to see more from Joey soon enough.
Finally GCW was featured in an article in The Cornellverse Times. It seems more and more people are noticing them and they are really starting to grow. GCW is expected to really start to expand over the next few months to become a more Regional sort of promotion heading into 2009.

Nice to see Rod Todd get the shot at the pure title and here's hoping he wins it. Nice ending with the handshake and a Beauchamp face turn and the staredown between Todd & Josh. Nice to hear that your possibly expanding which is always good. As was said in your newswire it did seem a bit short compared to your other shows but it served it's purpose well. Fight Night is looking good and should be a good read as everything is still written & booked well. This diary should really get more attention, keep it up.

GCW Fright NightMedium Event Held at Parliament Square in South UK, in front of 554 fans.Pre-Show Match, Single Match – Edward Cornell VS Merle O'CurleThis was a nice match. Edward Cornell did a great job and showed his talent. Merle O’ Curle did a nice job as well. The match was quite even to begin with and both men got a bit of offense. Halfway through though Edward suddenly took over and just began a huge beatdown on Merle. He then finished it off with the Rough Ride. 1…2…3! Edward Cornell defeated Merle O'Curle in 4:39 by pinfall.Rating: DOpening Match, 5 Way Elimination Match – GCW Pure Title No.1 Contender – Joey Beauchamp VS Arthur T Turtle VS Walter Morgan VS Steve Parker VS James HernandezThis was a really good match. Arthur T. Turtle was the mystery guy and did a good job during the match. All 5 men did well and got a lot of offense. Walter Morgan dominated early and took out Steve Parker and Joey Beauchamp. The first elimination came when Walter Morgan attacked James Hernandez and locked him in a Sharpshooter. Arthur, Steve, & Joey all stood outside the ring waiting for James to tap out which he did. James Hernandez Eliminated! After the elimination all three men attacked Morgan from behind and threw him out of the ring. From there Steve Parker and Arthur double teamed Joey Beauchamp. Joey would fight back as the crowd brought the life into him. Beauchamp took both men down and then went to throw Steve over the ropes but Parker reversed it and threw Joey out. Suddenly Arthur came up from behind and rolled up Parker. 1…2…3, Steve Parker is Eliminated! From there Walter Morgan came in and took on Arthur in a good confrontation with a lot of wrestling. Suddenly Arthur hit a lowblow on Morgan but couldn’t be DQed. He then went to finish off Morgan when Joey came in and hit The Breeze Block. 1…2…3, Arthur T. Turtle is Eliminated! It was then down to Joey Beauchamp & Walter Morgan. Both men went at it for a couple of minutes until Joey Beauchamp went for The Breeze Block but Morgan reversed it into a Crossface. Morgan had it locked in tight and forced Beauchamp to tap out. Joey Beauchamp is Eliminated! After the match Walter Morgan celebrated and did the belt around the waist taunt before leaving. Joey Beauchamp defeated Arthur T. Turtle, Steve Parker, Walter Morgan and James Hernandez when Walter Morgan defeated Joey Beauchamp by submission with a Crossface. Order of elimination: James Hernandez, Steve Parker, Arthur Turtle, Joey Beauchamp.Rating: D+ Single Match – GCW Women’s Title – Joanne Rodriguez VS Geena ‘The Warrior Princess’ Another good match this time between the females. Joanne & Geena went right at it before the bell had even rung. Geena took early control and began just beating down on the champ. After a while Joanne reversed a suplex and instead suplexed Geena. From there Joanne jumped onto Geena for a little cat fight. Joanne then stopped it and went to work on the former champion. Joanne then went to the top rope but Geena got to her feet and climbed up with her. Both of them battled for a few seconds on the turnbuckle. Finally Geena gained advantage and grabbed Joanne. She then went for The Amazon Plunge. However J-Ro began to fight back with some elbows to the head. She fought out of it and fell to the mat but while she fell she brought down Geena’s head too and hit a huge DDT off the top rope. Both of them are out as the crowd all cheer. The referee began counting to 10 but both of them were up at 8. They went back and forth with right hands before Geena hit a kick to the face. She then lifted up Joanne and tried to hit a standing Amazon Plunge. Again Joanne reversed and broke free and fell to her feet behind her. She then went to hit the J-Rocker but Geena broke it up. Geena then grabbed her Amazonian blade from within her attire. She went to jab it into Joanne but Joanne dodged it and came out of nowhere with The J-Rocker. 1…2…3! After the match Joanne celebrated with her belt when suddenly Wanda Fish showed up from backstage. She had a microphone and told Joanne that she and all of GCW had better watch out since she was here to win and become Women’s Champion. Joanne Rodriguez defeated Geena The Warrior Princess by pinfall with a J-Rocker. Joanne Rodriguez makes defence number 2 of her GCW Women’s title.Rating: DThree Way Tag Team Match – GCW Tag Team Titles No.1 Contenders – The Canadian Blondes VS The Elimination Agents VS The ForceThis was quite a good match. The Force made their big in ring reunion and did very well as did the other two teams. For a lot of the match The Canadian Blondes stayed away from The Elimination Agents and only came in when it was necessary. The Force & The Elimination Agents went right at each other from the start but Genocide & Suicide overpowered them. They dominated for a bit of the match before The Canadian Blondes sneaked in and began beating down on them. This helped The Force catch their breath before coming back in and taking out The Canadian Blondes. They had full control and were about to eliminate Genocide when Suicide got back up and cleaned house. However Suicide ran right into a double dropkick from Oscar & Flash taking him out of the ring. This left The Canadian Blondes & The Force. Both teams went at it when suddenly Toby & Jed rolled up The Canadian Blondes out of nowhere. 1…2…3! The Canadian Blondes couldn’t believe it and so before they left the ring both men took out The Force and then laid out both members of The Elimination Agents with a chair. Now only two teams remained. Finally after a little bit both teams were up to their feet in the ring. The Force used their speed to try and tackle down The Agents but again they overpowered them. The elimination Agents began beating down on The Force before getting ready to finish it. Suicide Agent lifted up Toby Yuan Kanobi into the air. Genocide was getting ready to hit him when Jed High suddenly got some life back. Jed got to his feet and clotheslined Genocide over the ropes. Suicide continued to hold Toby thinking Genocide was still standing until Jed High kicked him in the back of the leg forcing him to drop to the mat. Toby fell on top of him and the ref pinned 1…2…Kick Out! The Force then went outside the ring and got their signature Light Sabers. Toby got into the ring and began arguing with the ref about it while Jed High went round the other side. Jed got into the ring and waited for Suicide to get to his feet. Finally he does and Jed takes a swing. Suicide ducks it and suddenly Genocide is in the ring and grabs Jed High out of nowhere, he lifts him up and hits a huge Spinebuster. Suicide then ran at Toby and clotheslined him and himself over the top rope. Genocide then taunted to the crowd before signaling the end. Suddenly Jed High lifted up his light saber and hit hard right up between the legs of Genocide. He then got to his feet and hit him hard in the face knocking him down to the mat. 1…2…3! The Force quickly escaped as Genocide & Suicide looked angry in the ring. The Force defeated The Canadian Blondes and The Elimination Agents; the order of elimination was The Canadian Blondes first, and finally The Elimination Agents.Rating: D Single Match – GCW Pure Title – Josh Caine(C) VS Rod ‘The God’ ToddThese two had great chemistry together and it made the match that much better. Rod seemed to be serious the whole match, he was a man on a mission. His been after that belt for almost a year now and he wasn’t going to let it go to waste. Josh Caine tried to use as much dirty tactics as he could get away with. Sometimes he would even run out of the ring to stay clear of Rod and catch his breath. However after a while Rod had enough of it and got out of the ring the other side and went under the ring. Josh Caine stood outside smiling to the crowd and “catching his breath” when suddenly Rod Todd appeared from under the ring and before Josh could get away he had been tackled to the ground. Rod began pounding on the champion with rights and lefts until the referee stepped in and broke it up. Rod got him into the ring and from there Rod was in full control. After quite a beating Rod took Josh up to the top rope. Rod was about to lift him up into powerbomb position, possibly going for The Crucifix. Suddenly Josh blocked it and broke free of Rods grasp. He then jumped off the top rope and hit a nice kick to the side of the face of Todd. Rod Todd was out of it as he slowly fell to the side and onto the ropes followed by bouncing off them and onto the floor below. Josh Caine got to his feet slowly as did Rod. Once Caine and Rod were both to their feet, Josh Caine ran towards the ropes and launched himself over them and flew through the air. Rod just looked up a second before he landed and so wasn’t able to dodge it as Josh came crashing down hard on top of Rod Todd. The crowd all cheered at the move and was on their feet for more. After a tiny bit Josh was back to his feet and dragged Rod up and into the ring. Josh got in and signaled the end. Caine stood in the corner and waited for him to stand. Slowly Rod began to move and get to his feet. Josh waited patiently and began stomping his foot on the mat a bit. Finally Rod was up but as he turned towards the corner Josh Caine came running out of it lifting his foot up and trying for a Superkick. Rod suddenly ducked and dodged the kick. He went behind Josh so they were back to back and quickly lifted him up from behind into a Crucifix Position. Josh tried to fight it and suddenly rolled backwards over Rod’s head. He then turned around and went for a Caine Cutter but once again Rod moved back to back with Josh and again lifted him into the air and into Crucifix position. Josh tried to fight it and roll out but this time it was tightly locked in. Rod planted him down hard into the mat with a huge Crucifix Powerbomb. 1…2…3! Rod Todd had finally won the Pure Title. He grabbed the belt and began celebrating with it to the cheer of the crowd. Rod 'The God' Todd defeated Josh Caine by pinfall with a Crucifix Powerbomb. Rod 'The God' Todd wins the GCW Pure title.Rating: D+First Blood Match – GCW World Title No.1 Contender – Guide VS ScoutThis match was personal. Both men former friends and tag team partners, however for the past year they have been on a course of destruction. Both men are trying to be World Champion to prove who the better man is. Each man has one victory over the other and this one will decide it all. This was a really good match. Both men gave it their all and completely battered each other. From the beginning both men wasn’t even trying to win they just went at it in a huge brawl to hurt the other. After the first few minutes or so they finally stopped trying to kill each other and try to win the match instead. Guide took Scout up the little ramp and slammed his head onto the lights and equipment. Scout didn’t bleed though so Guide took him back to the ring while slamming his head on the barricade along the way. Guide then began punches and kicks to the face which Scout ended up blocking. After a little while of this Scout was in control and began punching away and the head of Guide but no blood would appear. He then brought in the weapons. Scout got a chair and went to swing it at Guide’s head but Guide quickly turned around a bit so the chair missed his head and hit him on the back knocking him to the mat but not making him bleed. Scout then hit him once more while he was down before throwing the chair away. For the rest of match more weapons were introduced like Cricket Bats, Kendo Sticks, the Ring Bell. However they would always dodge the shot or move into a different position so they didn’t hit them in the head. Guide however missed that at one point and got hit hard in the head with the ring bell. Guide fell to the mat and the ref checked him. He had a tiny little cut but no blood was pouring out. Once Guide was back to his senses and realized he held his head in cover and rolled out of the ring. Guide leaned under the ring and suddenly pulled out some Barbwire. Scout looked horrified and quickly grabbed the chair that was in the ring. Guide got in and swung the barbwire bat at Scout. Scout quickly lifted the chair in front of him to protect him from the barbwire. Scout then threw the chair towards Guide but he blocked the shot. Scout ran away to the outside and away from the barbwire. Guide followed him though but once he went around a corner Scout jumped up and clotheslined him to the ground. He then took his barbwire from him and was getting ready to hit him when Guide crawled under the ring. Scout smiled and dropped the barbwire. He got into the ring and grabbed the chair and rolled back out. Guide was laying face up under the ring with his legs just showing. Scout grabbed his leg and dragged him out from under the ring. Just as Guides head came out Scout went to slam the chair on him however Guide had protection. Guide had put on a hard helmet to protect him from the shot so he couldn’t bleed. Guide then kicked him in the midsection and quickly head butted him hard with the helmet on. Scout fell to the mat and held his head in case of blood but there was nothing yet. Guide got to his feet and was about to begin punching him hard in the head to open him up when suddenly a tiny bit of blood poured out from a little cut he got. The ref rang the bell and awarded Guide the victory. However Guide was not done he shrugged and began punching down hard on Scout anyway. Punch after punch after punch. More blood began pouring out until almost his whole face was covered. He then dropped his head onto the chair before stomping his foot down hard on the back of his head. Guide defeated Scout when Scout was bust open. Rating: C-Main Event Single Match – GCW World Title – Rolling Johnny Stones(C) VS Barry GriffinThe main event was up Rolling Johnny Stones in his first defense. Barry Griffin was the challenger as he took the place of the injured Adam Matravers. The match was very good. Both men gave it everything they had. Johnny did well on his first defense. To begin with the match was completely even all the way through. Neither man took a clear advantage. A whole lot of reversals came in a row with reversal after reversal. After a while Barry Griffin finally took control after Johnny couldn’t reverse a kick to the leg. Barry began beating down on him, Johnny tried to counter but just couldn’t. After a while Barry Griffin began trying to lock Johnny into a Powerbomb Deathlock. Johnny kept fighting it though and blocked it. Johnny then took Barry down with a spinebuster to put himself in control of the match. From there Johnny began beating down on Barry. He then went to the top rope and jumped off with a flying dropkick but only got a two count. Much later on in the match Griffin was back in control after Johnny fell off the apron. Barry slammed down Johnny onto his knee for a backbreaker followed by driving his knee into Johnny’s back while he was down. Finally Barry had enough and signaled that he was about to become champion. Barry went for the Powerbomb Deathlock which Johnny tried to fight at first but then it got locked in tight. Suddenly Carol Carr showed up at ringside in a sort of rock star look. Griffin took his eyes off Johnny for a second to see what was going on as Carol got onto the apron. Suddenly Johnny broke free of the hold and pulled Barry by the tights face first into the turnbuckle. He then rolled him up from behind and put his feet on the ropes. 1…2…3! Johnny Stones then fled the ring and went up the ramp with his World Title with Carol Carr. Barry Griffin couldn’t believe it as he looked on pissed off. Before going to the back however Johnny Stones and Carol Carr begin kissing signaling a huge alliance between the two. Rolling Johnny Stones defeated Barry Griffin by pinfall. Friday, Week 3, October 2008Last night GCW held GCW Fright Night at Parliament Square and drew 554 fans. Feedback has been great it seemed to have went well. Some have said the best show for GCW in the last few months.
Rolling Johnny Stones retained his title last night. He is seen as the main guy in the company at the moment since Adam is out. He is expected to hold onto the title till sometime next year however plans are always changing so don't be surprised if Guide or someone gets the belt in the next couple of months.
Also Carol Carr helped Rolling Johnny Stones get the victory last night. This is seen as a huge alliance between the two and may help Carol Carr a lot. On Johnny Stones & Carr's myspace page there are pictures of them kissing backstage. No explanation on it all has been revealed yet though although expect some info to come soon.
Guide is now No.1 Contender for the World title however that leaves Barry & Scout without anything. There is a possibility they could face next month however not everybody is a fan of that idea. They may not end up in a match and could just be at ringside during the main event.
Rod 'The God' Todd is finally Pure Champion. It took him almost a year but he finally did it. He is expected to have a really long reign or a very short one like one or two month. Its not expected to be a short reign however with all the challengers he has somebody may be good enough to take the belt from him. His next challenger is Walter Morgan, GCW are hoping for a good match between the two and possibly a big turn for Walter Morgan. Morgan is seen as a great wrestler and deserves more then his getting. GCW could do something for him next month to boost him up a bit.
Josh Caine has lost the Pure title and will not be getting a rematch. Instead expect to see Josh rise up to main event. He is getting quite popular and seems to be rising quicker then GCW are pushing him. He will most likely make the transition in some way next month. Right now no idea on what will happen. Possibly a match with Barry or Scout.
The Force will face the tag team champions next month. The Force are full of momentum after their reunion last night. Some have said there is a very very big chance of them winning the belts. However Highspot and Jones haven't had the belts long and so GCW may not be ready for them to lose it this soon.
Joanne Rodriguez retained the Women's Title against The Warrior Princess. However after the match Wanda Fish showed up n her first appearance in GCW and wants a title shot. She will most likely get it next month although right now theres not much chance that she will win. Right now she is on more of a test to see how she does and doesn't look to becoming champion. Also expect Geena to not be out of title hunt just yet.
