Burchill defeated Jamie Noble in 5:59 by pinfall with a C4. (D+)Main ShowThe night kicks off with the usual opening package and pyro, before Matt Hardy's music hits, and he makes his way to the ring to a great reaction from the crowd. Matt talks about how in just nine days time he could have the chance to become the World Heavyweight Champion, but first he has to defeat Kane. He continues to talk about how he has won seven tag team titles, as well as being a former European and Cruiserweight champion, but has never been the World Champion. At this statement Kane's music hits and he makes his way to thr ring. Grabbing the microphone Kane says only one thing "The only reason I have yet to kill you, is because of our match tonight". As Kane and Matt stare each other down Deuce and Domino come through the crowd, attacking and beating down Kane and Matt Hardy, leaving them down and out.
Shannon Moore defeated Chavo Guerrero in 10:42 by pinfall with a Mooregasm.Moore walked in trying to gain momentum heading into his Cruiserweight title match at SNME. Both wrestlers put on a good performance, with Shannon really standing out. Hornswoggle attempted to interfere but was tossed from the ring by Chavo. This ment that Moore had the time to hit the Mooregasm, and get the pinfall.
Rating: BThe Great Khali and Ranjin Singh is backstage with Josh Mathews. Singh hypes Khali as the most dominant World Champion ever in the WWE, and that it does not matter who he is facing at Summerslam. Singh then warns Jimmy Wang Yang that later tonight, Khali will destory him.
WWE United States Champion Montel Vontavious Porter made his way to the announcers table to view the next match.
Finlay defeated Kenny Dykstra in 14:50 by pinfall with The Celtic Cross.Another good match that pitted the past against the future. Finlay controlled the match, but was distracted by MVP, who was at ringside. This gave Dykstra the chance to take control. the crowd really got behind Dykstra, but a badly timed cross body attempt gave Finlay time to recover, and hit the Celtic Cross for the win.
Rating: BPost Match MVP attempts to jump Finlay with the title belt. Finlay ducks however, and punchs the title belt clean into MVP's nose. Finlay leaves as MVP is left lying in the ring, the officials checking on his possibly broken nose.
The Great Khali defeated Jimmy Wang Yang in 3:32 by pinfall with a Powerbomb.A squash match, nothing else to say. Khali dominated the entire match,
Rating: C+Post Match, as the Great Khali and his manager Ranjin Singh celebrate in the ring, the lights go out. The sound of a hook is heard scraping across the floor and a blood sickening laugh is heard across the arena. When the lights come on The Great Khali is covered in blood. Khali quickly leaves, looking around the arena scared.
The Major Brothers defeated Eugene and Funaki in 10:35 when Brett Major defeated Funaki by submission.The Major Brother continued their road to Summerslam by facing a very strange pairing. The Majors controlled the match, and Brian Major picked up the win with a boston crab on Funaki. The Major's signal that they are coming for tag team gold.
Rating: C+A video package is played. A corridor is shown, with a man laughing. The camera quickly heads through the corridor, the laughing getting louder the further in the camera goes. It finally settles at the end of the corridor, a man is standing there, still laughing. The screen goes blank as the words "Burchill is coming" comes up in crimson letters.
Ric Flair is backstage with Josh Mathews. Flair hypes his upcoming match against Chris Masters. Flair starts trailing off talking about a plainride he was on recently, and how there was this women on the flight. At this moment Torrie Wilson walks past, saying hey to Flair. Flair says "speaking about women" before walking off after Torrie. This segment was gold.
Ric Flair defeated Chris Masters in 17:20 by pinfall with a rollup.A great match and the MOTN, Flair carried Masters through the technical wrestling, but Masters put on some excellent brawling. Masters had control early on, but Flair fought back with a low blow, and followed up by working away at Masters legs. Masters attempted the Masterlock, but Flair slid out of it and rolled up Masters, using the ropes for leverage to get the win.
Rating: B+The Great Khali is show backstage, still with bits of blood in his hair, his manager Ranjin Singh is shouting at him, trying to persude him not to leave. Khali shouts a bunch of gibberish before struggling to get into a car. The car leaves as Singh is still shouting.
Kane and Matt Hardy defeated Deuce & Domino in 14:48 when Kane defeated Deuce by pinfall with a Chokeslam.A good tag team match, with a great story in the ring between Kane and Hardy. Deuce & Domino used quick tags to work away at Matt, and it looked like the tag champs would get the win. Matt made the hot tag however, and Kane cleaned house, hitting Deuce with the Chokeslam, followed by the pinfall.
Rating: B-Post Match, Matt Hardy starts to celebrate the win. He turns around and Kane throws a fireball in his face! As Matt rolls around the ring holding his face Kane goes under the ring, pulling out his chain and hook. Kane attacked Matt with the chain, but before he could do to much damage he is stopped by a host of referees and wrestlers. Kane leaves, still holding the chain as Matt holds his head in his hands, blood pouring from a gash above his right eye.
