As always a well written out and booked show.
Cool to see Kaz & Bentley apparently getting a push. The title matches were all good although I wish there would've been at least one title change but I'm not really complaining oh and you wrote Aries & Storm celebrated. Seeing Steve Blackman in there is cool but there is something that I'll mention at the end that I do have a bit of a problem with. Cool to see Hardy get the win and then the Roode appearance. Glad Abyss retained the title and whilst it is cool to see Chris Benoit come in and I'm sure it'll be good I just don't want to see too many wrestler's who are known as WWE talent. It's so much of a problem as long as it's not overinfluctuated with them and there's still a mix of homegrown talent.
Anyway good stuff keep it up.

Against All Odds was really well done. I liked the Blackman debut, good way to introduce him. Shelley and Aries retaining was good, although I'm a tad upset at Daniels retaining, I wanted Sabin to win. Matt getting the win was alright, but I was expecting it, to be honest. House of Fun was goo,d though Raven should have won, it is his match, I like to see him win that. Rhino/Joe sounded intense. Abyss retaining is great, a good title reign for him. Benoit in TNA should be interesting, don't put him right in the title picture though

AAO was an excellent read. I really can't complain about a single thing, which is hard in a diary these days. I seriously love Blackman in TNA for some reason, and Benoit? ing awesome. Push Kaz and Bentley and Bernard to the World title. Keep it up man.

18th February 2006
As the pyro goes of in the Impact Zone, a match card is showed showing us that the main event tonight would be a Champion vs Champion match as the TNA X-Division Champion, “Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels will take on the NWA World Heavyweight Champion, “The Moster” Abyss.
Match One: Takuya Sugi vs Jimmy Rave
Takuya successfully made his debut last week after defeating Elix Skipper and this week, his luck just seemed to continue. Rather short match but it still had its moments, Rave went for the spinning head scissors but Sugi cart wheeled out of it before receiving a big yakuzi like kick to the head. That definitely slowed down the match but Takuya got back in to it after connecting with a springboard cross body nearly getting the two count. The match continued for a little longer with Takuya getting the three count after running across the top rope and connecting with a dropkick while Rave was at the turnbuckle closest to Sugi. After the dropkick, Sugi hit a standing moonsault to get the three count.
The cameras turn to the back where Jeremy Borash is standing by with both Matt and Jeff Hardy. JB talks to both Hardy brothers about Matt’s match at Against All Odds against “The King of the Mountain” Jeff Jarrett. JB mentions that after the match, the sudden appearance of a repackaged Bobby Roode as Robert Roode attacked Jeff Hardy. Jeff tells JB that there was no reason behind the attack and that next week there would be a tag team match between the Hardy brothers and Roode and Jarrett. Then Matt Hardy says that both Jarrett and Roode are just a twist of fate away from being laid out on their asses.
Samoa Joe is seen walking around the backstage area with a taped up chest from his last man standing match against Rhino.
Match Two: Jay Lethal & Jerry Lynn vs LAX w/ Konnan (Hernandez & Low Ki)
Steve Blackman apparently wasn’t in the arena tonight which gave the advantage the clear advantage to the Latin American Exchange during the match. Konnan would trip up Lethal and Lynn whenever they got close to the ropes and the referee never seemed to notice. During the match, Lynn and Lethal showed awesome teamwork tot take out Hernandez early in the match before Low Ki kicked Lethal hard in the back of the head, making it one on one between Lynn and Low Ki for a good portion of the match. The match continued and Lynn looked to finish things of with the Cradle Piledriver on Low Ki but Hernandez who had just thrown Lethal over the top rope, ran straight in to Lynn and ran him over with the clothesline. Hernandez then got tagged in and he connected with the border toss to pin Jerry Lynn. After the bell, Konnan got in to the ring and all three members of LAZ began to attack Jerry until Lethal got back in to the ring, Lethal tried to defend Lynn but couldn’t duo to the numbers as LAX began to beat both men down. Just then, the entrance music of Steve Blackman hit as he ran down to the ring with numb chucks in hand. Blackman used the numb chucks to take Konnan and Low Ki out of the ring before giving Hernandez a big Karate Kick to the forehead, causing the big man to fall out of the ring. Blackman checked on Lynn and Lethal as the cameras turned to the back.
The cameras turn to the back where Raven is sitting down in a dark room with no visible light. Raven makes it noted that his loss to Giant Bernard at Against All Odds has shed some light on things that are to come. Raven then says in his own way that he is taking a leave from Total Nonstop Action so that he can… “Think about things”
A Against All Odds recap plays highlighting the end of the show where Chris Benoit was announced to be coming to TNA. At the end of the recap video it said that Benoit would be making his debut on the 4th March 2006 episode of Impact.
The cameras turn to the office of Larry Zbyszko where America’s Most Wanted are demanding a rematch at the NWA World Tag Team titles. Zbyszko tells AMW that they lose the match and there is nothing he can do about it. Larry says that Matt Bentley and Frankie Kazarian are the new number one contenders and will be facing Alex Shelley and Austin Aries at Destination X. James storm asks if there is any way that AMW can get in to the match and Larry tells them that in two weeks there will be a tag team gauntlet battle royal where the winner will become the third team to get in to the match. AMW look somewhat annoyed but they leave peacefully.
Main Event: Christopher Daniels vs Abyss
Main event of the night was pushed as the champion vs champion match and it certainly didn’t seem to disappoint. Always nice to see a big guy like Abyss who can work with the smaller workers. Abyss had control for a good portion of the match until Daniels’ managed to hit a calf kick, knocking Abyss of balance. Daniels’ then connected with a running enziguri before then connecting with the spinning wheel kick that finally knocked Abyss down to the canvas. “The Fallen Angel” then began to take control of the match with several leg locks that he found hard to keep locked in. After a few moments, Abyss managed to kick Daniels’ away. Abyss then got up to his feet and ass Daniels charged across the ring at him, Abyss connected with the Black Hole Slam to get the three count. Before Abyss can celebrate, the entrance music of Samoa Joe hits the stage as “The Undefeated Samoan Submission Machine” runs down to the ring. As he slides in to the ring, Abyss is just about back up to his feet as Joe charges at the champion and delivers a single leg dropkick, knocking the NWA World Champion down to the canvas. Joe then backs in to a corner and as Abyss gets back up to his feet, Joe begins to charge again but this time Abyss picks Joe of the ground and looks to connect with the Black Hole Slam but Joe manages to get out of the spin and he slides to the out side of the ring. TNA Impact! ends with Abyss holding the NWA World Heavyweight Title in the air as Samoa Joe walks backwards up the entrance ramp.

iMPACT was a good read, Chris. I love how long and well written your match results are, and the layout of your shows. I can't wait for the debut of Benoit, should be interesting to see what you do with him, and how you debut him. The main event sounded great, glad Abyss got the victory over Daniels, and Joe/Abyss should be great.
Keep it up!

Monty Brown released! After this past weeks TNA taping, Monty Brown confronted Jeff Jarrett with a (very public) argument over why he hasen't been on the card in recent months. Jarrett told Brown that he didn't see the problem as Monty was still being paid however what really struck a nerve was when Jarrett said "Maybe if you had a bit more charisma, you maybe you would be on the card more often" After these comments, Monty was said to have went nuts, and actually trying to attack Jarrett before several workers jumped in Brown's way. Monty Brown was released from his contract the following morning.

impact was good, the opener sounded like everything it needed to be. disappointed rave didn't get the win but what can ya do.
i love the inclusion of low-ki in lax, and i mark for anything involving blackman. so that match won me over.
champion vs champion is always a solid booking idea imo and i loved the interaction with abyss and joe.
some nice segs throughout building the feuds you have running, i liked them a lot. especially raven's promo. and i can't wait for benoit.
i look forward to seeing where you take things.

- Head Writer for TNA, Chris Hammers' has been pushing for the signing of Johnny Stamboli and Big Vito to use their WCW gimmick of mafia gangsters, with redone godfather entrance music. Chris has also asked for the rehiring of former TNA talent, Amazing Red as well as Jose and Joel Maximo.
- The Destination X main Event is expected to be Abyss defending the title against Samoa Joe. Joe has been undefeated in TNA now since the 19th June 2005 making it 7 months with out being pinned or forced to tap out. There is no plans to stop the undefeated streak however so PWI is expecting for Joe to win the title or for a DQ finish.
- Christopher Daniels is being slated as a replacement for AJ Styles main event run however they do not want him to hold two titles. If Daniels' drops the X title at Destination X he would only of had a 3 months reign with the title. Songjay Dutt is being pushed by hammers as being the next X-Division champion.
- Chris Hammers' has made his attention clear that Chris Sabin deserves to win the NWA World Title sometime within 2006/2007. (based on ewr, he is a main eventer with 93 overness.)

I don't care how over Sabin is, he does NOT deserve a world title. Ever. Abyss/Joe should be something fun, and I like Benoit coming to TNA. Give him the World Title.

i like chris sabin, and i don't think he deserves a world title. although i gave sonny siaki the title in my ewr tna game a few years back when he inexplicably became super over.
i like the fact you're brining back red, i never liked him personally but it's another x-division guy that i'm sure tna fans would have liked to have had back in 05.
joe and abyss sounds like fun, as does making daniels a main eventer.

25th February 2006
As the pyro goes of in the Impact Zone, a match card is showed showing us that the main event tonight would be a number one contenders match for the NWA World Heavyweight Title at Destination X as “The Undefeated Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe takes on Giant Bernard.
Match One: Shark Boy vs Sonjay Dutt vs Amazing Red
In the opening contest for TNA Impact! We saw the return of The Amazing Red. The opening contest was extremely fast paced and saw several false finishes and Shark Boy even got to connect with his spot, the powerbomb while a Superplex was happening. All three men managed to connect with their finisher, each pinfall attempt being broke up, but near the end of the match, While Sonjay was at the top rope looking to connect with the Hindu Press, Amazing Red jumped up to land on the same turnbuckle before jumping up again to connect with a Frankensteiner taking Dutt completely out of the match. Shark Boy then tried to connect with a suplex but Amazing Red got out of it before connecting with The Code Red to get the pinfall. Amazing Red made a successful return to TNA with the victory.
The cameras turn to the back where Jeremy Borash is standing by with “The King of the Mountain” Jeff Jarrett and Robert Roode. Jarrett says that he shouldn’t even be in a midcard feud with Matt Hardy and that he should be the NWA World Champion but because of Abyss still being the champion, he can not fight for the belt. Jarrett says that he doesn’t care who wins tonight between Samoa Joe and Giant Bernard, he just wants one of them to win the title at Destination X so that he can pin them for the title on the next Impact. Roode then says that once the hardy brothers are taken cared of tonight, Robert Roode is going all the way to the top.
Match Two: Robert Roode & Jeff Jarrett vs The Hardy Brothers
The second match of the night kicked of with Roode/Jarrett in control, tagging in and out every few seconds. Later on in the match, Jarrett attempted a suplex but Jeff landed on his feet behind Jarrett and he connected with the reverse DDT. Jeff then dived to his corner to get the hot tag to his brother Matt. Matt charged in to the ring, knocking both Jarrett and Roode down to the canvas several times before Jarrett ducked a clothesline attempt and Robert Roode connecting with the Lariat almost taking Matt Hardy’s head of. As Matt rolled out of the ring in pain, the referee rolled out of the ring to check on him. Jarrett then grabbed his guitar and as Jeff Hardy turned around, Jarrett smashed the guitar over his head. Jarrett quickly cleared the ring of guitar pieces before leaving the ring, making seem as if the referee is deaf and stupid as Matt was the legal man, but still, the referee counted the three count as Robert Roode connected with the fisherman suplex on Jeff Hardy. After the bell, it looked like Jarrett/Roode had more for Jeff Hardy but Matt rolled in to the ring with a steel chair while holding his neck in pain. Jarrett and Roode quickly retreated.
The cameras turn to the back where Frankie Kazarian and Matt Bentley are talking to each other about how they are the number one contenders to the Tag Team Titles and at Destination X, it will be their time to shine. Just then, America’s Most Wanted show up and tell them that once they win the Tag Team Gauntlet next week, it will be AMW winning the tag belts at Destination X. “Sorry bout your damn luck”
The cameras turn to the commentator’s table where Mike Tenay and Don West announce a few matches set for Destination X. First of is a six man tag where Steve Blackman will team up with Jerry Lynn and Jay Lethal to take on The Latin American Xchange. Another match added is for the TNA X-Division Championship where in Ultimate X; Christopher Daniels’ will have to defend the title against Chris Sabin, Takuya Sugi & Amazing Red. Then another match is added as Jeff Hardy will take on Robert Roode in singles action along with a rematch where Matt Hardy will face Jeff Jarrett.
Main Event: Giant Bernard vs Samoa Joe
The main event of the night was for a shot to face Abyss at Destination X for the NWA World title. With that on the line, both men put on an awesome match that basically turned in to a slugfest, during the match, Bernard looked strong as he caught Joe of guard with the powerslam. Joe managed to kick out of the pinfall attempt and the match continued. Joe then fought back and he charged at Bernard and delivered a running boot to the head with the single leg dropkick, knocking Bernard down to the canvas. Both men battled back and forth for about eighteen minutes before the referee jumped in the middle during a punch out. This ended up causing a double DQ as both men ended up pushing the referee away. After the bell the brawl continued and Abyss ran down to the ring while his music played. While all three men stared at each other, Bernard charged across the ring and hit Joe with the Bicycle kick before leaving the ring. Abyss then raised the title in the air as Impact! went of the air.

- Roode v Hardy and Jarrett v .. well the other Hardy look bloody great! 2 maches you'd definately want to see in the flesh for sure.
- I'm liking the Destination X poster.
- Sabin getting a world title push I'd like to see, I like Sabin he's a great in ring worker with a good chrisma level. Daniels and Dutt getting pushes is a real good idea! There both quality.
- The world title match at Destination X looks beastly to say the least! I like Abyss as champion but Joe was on a different level around this time, I'd be happy with whoever won.
