I always though Slick was on the panel. But Hart's still a good choice. Glad Virgil jobbed, and get rid of the Tear Drop Suplex, please. I agree with Heenan about Whippleman. Glad Nailz jobbed. Ya know McMahon sexually-harassed him . I hope Naitch gets the win at SNME. Woooo! Great stuff Chaz, glad you brought this back.

Hell, they've had Hillbilly Jim, Jim Duggan, Vince, among others on the panel.

SNME looks really good. Hope Bulldog retains against Undertaker, but I can see these two having a feud in the future. Flair will win I think, can't wait to see who Savage's partner is.

This is going great so far Chaz, digging the layout of Superstars, nice and simple. "A Hero is coming" made me think of Blue Blazer, might not be though. Bret/Bulldog and The Beverly Brothers all winning is good. Saturday Night Main Event is looking great, expecting and hoping that Flair gets the pinfall in his match.
Bret Hart to beat "The Million Dollar Man" But I always thought Ted deserved a main event run, the win would do him good. LOD to beat The Beverly Brothers but I can see the BB winning the match. Not sure over Bulldog or Taker, I would be happy with either man but lets stick with Davey Boy Smith. Shawn Michaels to beat Rick Martel.

An opening video plays, showing such stars as Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Randy Savage and more. Vince McMahon and Bobby "The Brain Heenan are on commentary and take us into the first match, but not before a short video clip.A hype video airs for the upcoming tag team match between Ric Flair, Razor Ramon, Randy Savage and his mystery partner.[li]"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair w/Mr. Perfect & "The Bad Guy" Razor Ramon defeated "Macho Man" Randy Savage w/Miss Elizabeth & Jake "The Snake" Roberts via Pinfall when Flair pinned Roberts with a roll up. The finish saw Mr.Perfect trying to snatch the WWF Title from Elizabeth's hands at ringside. Alerted to her struggle, Savage gave chase as Perfect ran. With the referee distracted, Flair hit Roberts with a low-blow and rolled him up to pick up the win. Ric Flair will now be eligible to face Randy Savage one on one for the World Wrestling Federation Championship."The Heart Break Kid" Shawn Michaels and "Sensational" Sherri are backstage alongside Sean Mooney. Michaels says Rick Martel is in for a rough ride tonight, because he's going straight back to the Heart Break Hotel, and Michaels will be celebrating with the lovely Sherri. We then go to a clip from this past week's edition of Prime Time Wrestling, where Jimmy Hart and Ted DiBiase set out a challenge for Bret "Hitman" Hart. Hart accepted on Superstars last night. [/li][li]Bret "Hitman" Hart defeated "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase w/IRS & "The Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart via Submission after locking DiBiase in the Sharpshooter. DiBiase may be the veteran, but Hart is certainly not going to go down without a fight, and that's what happened tonight. DiBiase let his arrogance get in the way of finishing off Hart, who tripped him and forced him to tap out to the Sharpshooter."The Model" Rick Martel is in the interview area. Martel says that tonight, he frees "Sensational" Sherri from the clutches of Shawn Michaels. Tonight, he will beat "The Heart Break Kid".
A short clip airs hyping the next match, Martel vs. Michaels with Sherri's services on the line.[/li][li]"The Heart Break Kid" Shawn Michaels defeated "The Model" Rick Martel via Pinfall. Martel looked to be control until the referee took a bump in the corner, as did Sherri off the apron. As Martel tended to Sherri in concern, Michaels jumped him and took the fight back into the ring. Martel made the comeback, and looked to win with Boston Crab. However, in a shocking twist, Sherri ran in and smashed Michael's mirror over the head of "The Model". After clearing the debris, Michaels pinned Martel to keep Sherri as his manager. What the hell just happened? We go to "Mean" Gene Okerlund on the ringside podium where he is joined by special guest Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake. Beefcake is no longer wearing his protective face mask, and hypes his return to action 'in the coming weeks'. Razor Ramon comes down, and tells Beefcake he should stay out of the way like Savage and the rest of the old timers. Beefcake blasts him with Okerlund's mic.Backstage, Sean Mooney is with Mr.Perfect and Ric Flair. Flair is ecstatic, and hypes himself as the next WWF Champion.[/li][li]The Legion of Doom w/Paul Ellering defeated The Beverly Brothers w/The Genius via Pinfall after hitting the Doomsday Device. Not much of a match really. It was over pretty quickly. Doomsday Device and it's done. Hawk & Animal will face The Natural Disasters for the Tag Team Belts.A vignette airs. 'A Hero is coming'.We see interviews from both The British Bulldog and The Undertaker ahead of the final match, for the Intercontinental Championship.[/li][li]The British Bulldog defeated The Undertaker w/Paul Bearer via Count-Out, Bulldog retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship. This was a great match. Everyone was expecting Undertaker to take the Belt here. Bulldog didn't look as if he was stopping him. However, after three Running Powerslams and after kicking the urn from Bearer's hands, denting it and releasing a green smoke from within it, Undertaker could not answer the referee's count and was counted out. The lights in the arena went out, and when they returned, The Undertaker had vanished. Where had he gone? The Bulldog certainly didn't know. That's it for Saturday Night's Main Event. We'll see you on Prime Time Wrestling![/li][/ul]

Wait...whoa...hold on a minute...Savage teamed with Jake Roberts? As in the same Jake Roberts who attacked Savage with a cobra and attempted to knock Liz's head off her shoulders with a chair until Undertaker stopped him? Not a big fan of that move, honestly. Didn't like the Taker/Bulldog match, either. They probably would have just had Taker get disqualified or have Bulldog go over clean. Everything else was good, though.

Haven't read much of this diary tbh but SNME was cool. Bret Hart vs. DiBiase looks really good. Glad Taker didn't lose clean, here, but a way to keep the belt on Bulldog.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter Reports
Jake Roberts was brought in as Randy Savage's partner as he was unhappy with his current deal with WCW. He was quickly snapped up, and although he's wanted to stay face by many in the company, it's likely he won't stay that way for long.
Both Rick Martel and The Undertaker suffered injuries and were written out of storylines at Saturday Night's Main Event. Coincidentally, they were both hurt in the same match on the 12/9 edition of Superstars. Martel should be fine within a month's rest but we here Undertaker requires surgery on a torn rotator cuff. It is hoped he'll be back around WrestleMania time.
Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard have signed for the WWF. They join Bam Bam Bigelow, Matt Osbourne, Honky Tonk Man, James E. Cornette, Jeff Jarrett, Dean & Joe Malenko and Bob Backlund, who all signed with the company over the last few weeks.
Despite rumors, it looks as if Shawn Michaels will not be getting the Intercontinental Championship any time soon. Management are not happy with his attitude backstage. At this time, we can't confirm if he was the one to beat The British Bulldog for the belt. It's believed either Crush, Brutus Beefcake or The Big Bossman will be the next Intercontinental Champion.
Hulk Hogan is expected back by the end of '92.

I was excited to see Jake as the mystery parter until I realized the time period, and I dont think its very realistic. But good to see him back nonetheless. Sucks about Taker and Martel's injuries.

Wait...so Jake was a heel when he left, he comes back as a face teaming with THE face in the company, and he's expected to turn heel soon? This is 1992, not 2002. Face/Heel turns didn't happen like that. Chances are had Jake come out to team with Savage, the crowd would have crapon it, and booed him. The WWF also liked keeping history in tact around this period (well....sometimes), and considering Savage/Jake had just blown off THAT YEAR, it wouldn't have happened at all. Hogan coming back sucks, too. He's useless if he's not in the WWF title picture, and turning him heel just wouldn't work. I don't like Arn and Tully being signed, or HTM for that matter. They just don't 'fit' in WWF 1992, in my honest opinion.
Not really feeling this diary, Chaz.

28th September 1992
Vince McMahon welcomes us to tonight's in studio edition of Prime Time Wrestling. He introduces our panel tonight - Gorilla Monsoon, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, Mr.Perfect and Rowdy Roddy Piper.
The show is hyped, tonight including an exclusive interview with "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and Jake "The Snake" Roberts. The panel discusses the week's past events, mainly Saturday Night's Main Event. We go now to that exclusive Flair interview.
RIC FLAIR: 'WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Savage, once again, I am the Number One Contender. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Once again Savage, it's dealing time, and I'm the dealer. One on one Savage, just you and me. "The Nature Boy" is ready to go, no time wasting. Two weeks from now Savage, on Prime Time Wrestling, it'll be you and me for the World Wrestling Federation Title. Two weeks Savage, and the Title Belt comes back to the Real World's Champion. WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!'
We're back to the panel who are discussing Flair's comments. Mr.Perfect says Ric Flair is a smart man and the best in ring competitor today. He'll be the next WWF Champion. Bobby Heenan agrees. But Piper and Gorilla aren't convinced. Both hype Savage, saying he's got a lot of heart and won't be defeated that easily. We'll have a tough contest on our hands in two weeks. Randy Savage vs. Ric Flair for the World Wrestling Federation Championship.
THE BRITISH BULLDOG DEFEATED THE BEZERKER; VIA PINFALL WITH THE RUNNING POWERSLAM - An exclusive Prime Time Wrestling match. The reigning Intercontinental Champion makes quick work of The Bezerker in St.Louis.
Back in the studio, the topic of Saturday Night's Main Event is brought up, namely The British Bulldog's IC Title defense against The Undertaker, who then vanished after being counted out. Heenan is glad Undertaker is gone. Hopefully he's never back. It'd be 'one less freak in the WWF'. McMahon says he's recieved word from Paul Bearer himself that The Undertaker isn't far, and he's not gone for good. Heenan curses.
RECAP; SATURDAY NIGHT'S MAIN EVENT 26/9/1992 - We go to "Mean" Gene Okerlund on the ringside podium where he is joined by special guest Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake. Beefcake is no longer wearing his protective face mask, and hypes his return to action 'in the coming weeks'. Razor Ramon comes down, and tells Beefcake he should stay out of the way like Savage and the rest of the old timers. Beefcake blasts him with Okerlund's mic.
We're back to the studio where McMahon welcomes a guest panelist, Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake! Beefcake makes his way out and joins the panel. McMahon says it's good to have him back, but when would he be back in the ring? Beefcake says soon, in the next few weeks. He has his eye on The British Bulldog's Intercontinental Belt. Heenan questioned him for hitting Razor Ramon, saying he'd regret it and that Ramon would catch up to him. Beefcake replies 'good'.
A vignette airs. 'A Hero is coming'.
RECAP; SATURDAY NIGHT'S MAIN EVENT 26/9/1992 "THE HEART BREAK KID" SHAWN MICHAELS DEFEATED RICK "THE MODEL" MARTEL; VIA PINFALL THROUGH INTERFERENCE FROM "SENSATIONAL" SHERRI - Martel looked to be control until the referee took a bump in the corner, as did Sherri off the apron.
The panel discuss Michaels vs. Martel and the ending to it. Heenan and Perfect are laughing their asses off. Shawn and Sherri played Martel for a fool and now he's out suffering for it. McMahon confirms Martel is out of action, needing medical attention for the damage suffered to his face.
BRET "HITMAN" HART DEFEATED IRON MIKE SHARPE; VIA SUBMISSION WITH THE SHARPSHOOTER - An exclusive Prime Time Wrestling match. Hart proves his dominance over Sharpe by easing past him with the Sharpshooter.
We're back in the studio. After some talk about Bret Hart's WWF future, Vince McMahon presents the October edition of WWF Magazine, notably featuring an interview with Hulk Hogan. It confirms Hogan will be back on our screens very soon. Heenan says Hogan should stay where he is, the world's a better place. Perfect agrees, reading over the article and laughing at the part where Hogan says he's going to reclaim the WWF Title. Vince McMahon brings up next week's show, hyping special guests Mr.Fuji and his client Yokozuna. Now to an exclusive interview with Jake "The Snake" Roberts!
JAKE ROBERTS: 'Time moves on, time heals all wounds, but the wounds between The Macho Man and I are far from healed. You see, we're not best friends. We're not even friends. The fact I was his partner does not make us friends. Macho Man presented me with a chance to come back to the World Wrestling Federation and I took it. I grabbed it. Macho Man came to me for help because he knows, although we don't see eye to eye, that I can get the job done. I can do damage like no other and he wanted damage done to Ric Flair. Well I'll tell you something Ric Flair. You cheat your way to victory, you play games with The Snake then you're gonna get bit. I'm asking you to try and pin me again next week on Prime Time Wrestling, if you think you can.'
The panel discusses Roberts' interview. Perfect says Flair doesn't need to prove again that he's the best in the world and that he can pin Roberts with ease, especially before his big title win. Gorilla mocks Perfect saying Flair is scared of Roberts. Perfect hits back and says he's not, and that Roberts can have his match. McMahon thanks us for watching, and takes us to our exclusive Prime Time Wresting Main Event. Goodnight everybody!
THE BIG BOSS MAN DEFEATED PAPA SHANGO; VIA PINFALL WITH THE BOSS MAN SLAM - An exclusive Prime Time Wrestling match. Boss Man and Shango are pretty even until Boss Man pulls out a surprising Boss Man Slam to take down Shango for the 1-2-3.
