USA Network officials are unhappy with the current format of Prime Time Wrestling. They want to drop the show in favour of a standard wrestling show, nothing in studio. Discussions are on-going.
Yokozuna is expected to be Hulk Hogan's first feud upon his return.
It's been proposed that Bam Bam Bigelow be paired with Shawn Michaels in the near future. Vince McMahon likes the idea.
The Beverly Brothers have reportedly quit after a lack of a push, and after being demolished by The Legion Of Doom. They see themselves as more of a threat to the Tag Team Titles.
Speaking of pushes, Bret Hart is in for a major push heading into Survivor Series, as is Rick Martel, Brutus Beefcake and Crush.
Survivor Series is expected to have only one or two 5 on 5 Elimination Matches. Management feel that there is more to be told in the ring outside of these stipulations.

Prime Time Wrestling was superb man. Nice to see Flair win the belt, and i didnt see it coming. Nice to see Bulldog get a win as well. SNME card looks pretty good so far. Keep up the good work man.
Drop a reply to my WWE '07 - '08 please. And drop a reply to Part III of the WWE 2010 'The Future' backstory if you can.

Yay, Hogan's going to kill Yoko. Bigelow/Shawn is an...odd team. Could work, though. By this point, the Survivor Series matches weren't 5 vs. 5 anymore. They'd stopped those in 1988. From 1989-on basically all they had was 4 vs. 4, with an occasional 5 vs. 5. PTW was good, don't like Flair winning the belt because I hate the old bastard.

Vince McMahon and Mr. Perfect welcome us to this weeks edition of Superstars. They hype our Main Event as Bret "Hitman" Hart taking on Kamala. Also tonight, we'll see Hawk of The Legion Of Doom, The Big Boss Man and "The Heart Break Kid" Shawn Michaels in action. We head straight into action.
YOKOZUNA W/MR.FUJI DEFEATED TONY DEVITO; VIA PINFALL WITH THE BONZAI DROP - Yokozuna, as you'd expect, dominated this entire match. DeVito got literally no offense in. For a big guy, Yoko can move pretty well, or at least he did tonight. Yoko looked to attack DeVito after the match, but changed his mind upon instruction from Fuji.
HAWK W/ANIMAL DEFEATED JERRY SAGGS W/BRIAN KNOBBS AND "THE MOUTH OF THE SOUTH" JIMMY HART; VIA PINFALL AFTER A CLOTHESLINE FROM THE TOP ROPE - A decent match. Saggs got beat up bad by Hawk though. Post-match, The Natural Disasters came out for a staredown with the LOD.
A vignette airs. 'A Hero is coming'.
--
We go to Sean Mooney in the studio.
SEAN MOONEY: Hello and welcome to the WWF Update. I can confirm that President Jack Tunney has confirmed that tomorrow night on Wrestling Challenge, Jake "The Snake" Roberts must make a formal apology to "Macho Man" Randy Savage in the middle of the ring. If he does not, he will be suspended indefinately. Also tomorrow night, you can see new WWF Champion Ric Flair in action, along with The British Bulldog, The Legion Of Doom and more! That's it for today's WWF Update. Let's take you back to ringside!
--
THE BIG BOSS MAN DEFEATED VICTOR REED; VIA PINFALL WITH THE BOSS MAN SLAM - Boss Man makes quick work of his opponent, pinning him with The Boss Man Slam. Can Boss Man pull off the big one at Saturday Night's Main Event, and capture the IC Belt?
--
"Mean" Gene Okerlund is standing by with Shawn Michaels.
GENE OKERLUND: I'm standing with "The Heart Break Kid" Shawn Michaels, the man who lost out to The Big Boss Man last week for the chance to challenge The British Bulldog at Saturday Night's Main Event. Shawn, where do you go from here?
SHAWN MICHAELS: ..Gene, it's quite simple. I'm going where I've always been going. I'm going where nobody else has been before. "The Heart Break Kid" is climbing to the very top of the mountain. See, one little slip up isn't going to put me off my path Gene. A loss to the Boss Man? Big deal. I have my sights on far greater things, and I intend to see it through. I'm the fastest rising star in the World Wrestling Federation, the best athlete in the world today. I am "The Heart Break Kid" Shawn Michaels!
GENE OKERLUND: Back to you Vince!
--
"THE HEART BREAK KID" SHAWN MICHAELS W/"SENSATIONAL" SHERRI DEFEATED DUANE GILL; VIA PINFALL WITH THE TEAR DROP SUPLEX - He may be cocky, but Michaels has every to be. Although he used a few tricks, HBK was convincing here in his win. I wouldn't be surprised to see Michaels wearing gold soon.
A promotional video airs for Bret "Hitman" Hart.
McMahon and Perfect promote various tour dates, where you can see your favourite WWF stars in your hometown!
BRET "HITMAN" HART DEFEATED KAMALA W/KIM-CHEE; VIA PINFALL WITH A ROLL-UP - Kamala is just.. weird. Hart looked a little confused, and just wanted to get down to business. However, it seemed Kamala was mocking him almost. Behind the referee's back, Kim-Chee grabs Hart's hair on the apron. As Kamala charges, Hart dodges and The Ugandan Giant knocks down his keeper. Hart rolls up Kamala to pick up the win.

Surprised that Savage dropped the belt back on Flair but I'm not mad at it. Wonder if Bret will get his push into the title picture here pretty soon? Will we see the debut of Monday Night Raw in the coming months? I hope so. Hogan vs Yoko was a decent feud so I'm glad you're going that route as well.

17th October 1992
Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan welcome us to this weeks edition of Wrestling Challenge. Tonight we'll see appearances from Bret "Hitman" Hart, The British Bulldog and our Main Event - "The Rocket" Owen Hart one on one with WWF Champion Ric Flair! Plus, Jake "The Snake" Roberts must formally apologise to "Macho Man" Randy Savage! We head straight into action.
THE BRITISH BULLDOG DEFEATED IRON MIKE SHARPE; VIA PINFALL WITH THE RUNNING POWERSLAM - Bulldog is awesome. Sharpe is destroyed by the Intercontinental Champ'.
A vignette airs. 'A Hero is coming'.
Monsoon and Heenan discuss Saturday Night's Main Event briefly. It is just 2 weeks away. Now, let's take you to a man returning to action on that date, Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake.
--
BRUTUS BEEFCAKE: So it's official. "The Barber" is back. Razor Ramon, you're the first to welcome me I guess. Well, let me tell you something. If you think because of what I've gone through that I'm an easy target, then you're wrong. I'm back and better then ever, greaseball. Maybe it's time you got that thing sorted out, huh? [Beefcake does a cutting motion with his shears] I'll see you soon, Razor.
--
RECAP; SUPERSTARS 16/10/92 BRET "HITMAN" HART DEFEATED KAMALA W/KIM-CHEE; VIA PINFALL WITH A ROLL-UP - Kamala is just..
THE LEGION OF DOOM W/PAUL ELLERING DEFEATED THE HEADSHRINKERS W/AFA THE WILD SAMOAN; VIA COUNT-OUT - A good match. Fatu and Samu are vicious, or they may just be crappy in the ring. Who knows? Eventually, they walk off and are counted out. But, The Natural Disasters come from behind and throw them back into the ring, and watch as they are taken apart by LOD. The two teams again stare each other down.
--
We go to Sean Mooney in the studio.
SEAN MOONEY: Hello and welcome to the WWF Update. We're just two weeks away from Saturday Night's Main Event, and what an event it's shaping up to be. You'll see USA waging war with Japan yet again as Hacksaw Jim Duggan tries to take down "The Mighty" Yokozuna. Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake returns to the ring to take on "The Bad Guy" Razor Ramon. Can Beefcake pull of a big win and earn a shot at the Intercontinental Champion? Speaking of the Intercontinental Champion, The British Bulldog puts his belt on the line against The Big Boss Man. Who will walk out the winner? The WWF Tag Team Titles are on the line as The Legion Of Doom look to win the Titles again from The Natural Disasters. This one should be big, bad and ugly. With more sure to be added, tune into WWF programming as more comes in. That's it for today's WWF Update. Let's take you back now to Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan.
--
Monsoon and Heenan again discuss Saturday Night's Main Event before we cut to "Mean" Gene Okerlund.
--
GENE OKERLUND: Here, I'm standing by with the new World Wrestling Federation Champion, Ric Flair and Mr.Perfect. Ric, how does it feel knowing how you won the Title?
RIC FLAIR: Okerlund, it doesn't matter how I won it. The feeling takes over you. I am the WWF Heavyweight Champion! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! And I plan on keeping it that way. After all, I am the REAL World's Champion.
GENE OKERLUND: Interesting. Let's go back to ringside!
--
"THE NATURE BOY" RIC FLAIR W/MR.PERFECT DEFEATED "THE ROCKET" OWEN HART W/KOKO B. WARE; VIA SUBMISSION WITH THE FIGURE FOUR LEG LOCK - Flair is Godly. Hart put up a big fight, but Flair is too experienced to be beaten here.
Up next, Jake Roberts will apologise to Randy Savage in the middle of the ring!
Monsoon and Heenan promote various tour dates, where you can see your favourite WWF stars in your hometown!
Jake "The Snake" Roberts makes his way to the ring, which is already occupied by President Jack Tunney. At the bottom of the ailseway are several security guards. Tunney gives Roberts the mic and orders him to apologise. Randy Savage comes to the ring and goes face to face with Roberts. They stare at each other for a brief moment. Although a little hesitant, Roberts apologises. Savage retaliates with a stiff slap to the face. Security rush the ring and separate them. Savage has the mic.
RANDY SAVAGE: Snake, I don't want your apology, yeah! No, I don't. What I want is you and me, Snake, in the ring at Saturday Night's Main Event, oh yeah! C'mon Snake. I want you in the ring! I don't want your apologies!
Security take Savage onto the ailse. Roberts stares at him with his cold eyes and smirks. He nods his head, seemingly accepting. Tunney isn't impressed, and says for the well-being of the fans, he can't let it happen. Savage tries to break away from security but he can't. That's all we have time for tonight. Tune into Prime Time Wrestling!

No struttin' and cuttin' reference in the Beefcake promo?! I'm deeply saddened. Challenge was solid, as to be expected.

Good show man. I loved the Savage promo! Its always fun to read one of those promos from him since hes so unique and awesome. A match with him and Roberts should be great. Flair over Owen is cool I guess, after all Flair is "Godly" haha. I loved that.Wonder whose next for the Nature Boy since Savage is occupied.
