MONDAY NIGHT RAW Live from Philadelphia, PA! 1/28/08 -- Results
Before we go live, a video package recapping last night's 21st annual Royal Rumble. The video opens up with a small recap of the Jericho/JBL match. The main focus is the Codebreaker for the win. Then, an overview of the Hardy/Orton matchup. Shows Orton winning with the RKO reversal. Then finally, it finished up with Undertaker throwing Vince McMahon over the top for the win in the Rumble. Then, the usual Raw opening aired and BANG! Pyro goes off and the camera searches the crowd for some signs. Jim Ross, good ol' JR, and Jerry 'The King' Lawler welcome us to the aftermath of the Royal Rumble. They said that they will hear from both Hardy and Orton tonight, but the lights go out and outcomes a man who proved himself in the Rumble last night, Ken Kennedy.
Chris Jericho v. Ken Kennedy Jericho got a nice solid pop when he made his way out to the ring and Kennedy did get some decent heel heat. Match only went around 8 minutes and was a slugfest. Kennedy did hit a mic check, but Jericho got out of it somehow, some way. Kennedy became frustrated and thats what led to his downfall. Jericho caught Kennedy by surprise, after he was arguing with the referee and nailed german suplex, which set up a dropkick, which lead to a Codebreaker for the win. Jericho celebrated, until JBL came at him from behind and nailed him with a chair. JBL then hit a clothesline from hell and then had the ref 'pin' Jericho for the 3. JBL then celebrated as the crowd booed him and we went to commercial. Winner: Chris Jericho
Another recap video of the Undertaker throwing Vince McMahon over the top, to win the Royal Rumble, is shown. This time, it has more angles. Then, we go to the back, in Vince's office, where he and William Regal are sitting on the couch. Vince is just staring at Regal and Regal seems intimidated. Vince quickly stands up and just leaves his office. Regal then shakes his head. JR and King say that Vince can't be too happy right.
DH Smith v. Jerry Sanders (Ace Steel) Well, this was Smith's return match to RAW and it was a total jobber squash. DH got a nice hand when he came out and he was slightly smaller than before. Match lasted two minutes and Smith won with his father's Running Powerslam. Afterward, Smith told the crowd that tonight was just the beginning of his journey, to follow in his father's footsteps. Winner: DH Smith
Backstage, Shawn Michaels is lacing up his boots when Triple H walks in with some rage. He starts screaming at Michaels, asking him why would he eliminate his best friend. Michaels told Hunter that he would do the same if he had the shot and that it was all for the major prize and nothing personal. Triple H thinks about it, gets in Michaels' face and then laughs it off. H leaves the room and Shawn goes back to lacing his boots, but shaking his head at the same time.
Jeff Hardy makes his way to the ring. He still receives a huge pop even though he lost his match last night. He has the Intercontinental Championship over his shoulder, and he grabs the microphone from Lillian Garcia's hand. Before he could even speak a word, the music of Santino Marella hits. Marella comes out with Maria and Carlito. Marella told Hardy that since he lost last night, he will not be feuding with Randy Orton anymore. He also mentions that Hardy still has the Intercontinental Championship, which was once Santino's. Santino demanded a title shot, but Hardy said he can have one, next week, IF he can beat one of Hardy's closest friends, Val Venis!
Santino Marella v. Val Venis Another quick 5 minute matchup. Val got a nice little pop from the crowd, as he should be used much more. Santino used his awesome technical skills on Venis, but added a little bit of his brawler style. Venis got very little offense in, only a few right hands. Santino finished him off with a triangle choke. Santino, Maria, and Carlito celebrated this win as we cut to commercial. Winner: Carlito
We come back and Vince McMahon is backstage. He said that was happen last night was a travesty. He should've won the Royal Rumble and not the creepy Undertaker. He told Taker that he still owns this company, meaning that he has control of every brand. So no matter where the Undertaker chooses to go, he will make his life a living HELL.
A video for the fighting Britishmen, Drew McIntyre aired.
Ashley v. Jillian Hall Ugh, not a good match at all. Neither person got a reaction from the crowd and it was just total clusteryeah match. No real offense in the match, just hair pulls and spears. Ashley won with a roll-up. Afterward, Beth Phoenix attacked Ashley. Only good thing about the match. Winner: Ashley
We see a graphic that Randy Orton is up next!
Orton came out to a sea of boos, the crowd just killed him. World title over his shoulder, laughing his way up the ramp. He told the crowd that he has beaten every threat on this show, and that there is nobody left for him to face. Orton continued to go on and on about how he is the best World champion Raw has ever seen, when the lights went out. The Undertaker appeared on the screen. Orton was ready to crap his pants in fright. Taker told Orton that he could be another soul for the taking at Wrestlemania. The lights go back on and Orton is speechless. Raw ends as Orton is staring at the tron, with his jaw wide.

Not a big fan of McMahon and taker feuding to be honest, hope something different comes out of it. And hopefully Orton doesn't face Taker. Glad Smith got the win, and Santino won his match, not Carlito Reply to TNA?

Vince/Taker feud maybe? i liked RAW alot. This continues to be my favorite diary on the board. Jericho over Kennedy is good. Orton vs. Taker at Mania would be good, except its already happened, so idk how much id like it to happen again. The Michaels/Triple H segment was interesting and really got me wondering where you're going with these two. Keep up the great work man.
Drop a reply to my WWE bro.

WWE star leaving?; WM news; Next Diva to Pose for Playboy!- In a recent interview, former ECW World Champion, Bobby Lashley, has announced that he is done with everything wrestling, claiming it was a poor career choice. Lashley also stated that he would want to take up a career in Mixed Martial Arts. World Wrestling Entertainment has yet to announce Lashley's release. Gerweck.net will keep you updated on this situation.
- Right now, The Undertaker is supposed to select Edge as his Wrestlemania opponent, but things change. Where does this leave Orton and Raw? Expect a Elimination Chamber to take place, as stated before, at No Way Out. It will definately feature Jeff Hardy, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Chris Jericho. No word on the other two competitors. Winner will get a shot at Orton at Wrestlemania. Orton will be in some kind of match at NWO also. Orton may face DH Smith, but this is all just a guess.
- Maria Kanellis will be the next diva to pose for the immortal Playboy. Shooting will take place next month.
- Ace Steel was once against used in a jobber role this week. He supposedly played it well.

If you put DH Smith in a title match against Orton, for the WWE Championship, I will proclaim you as Jesus. I'll proclaim you as God if Smith somehow wins, because I bet everyone else here would be like WTF if it happened

RAW had a good feel man.
Jericho/Kennedy sounded good, especially JBL doing his antics after the match. Good finish too, I hope Undertaker vs. Orton happens, tbh.

I liked RAW, really liked the HHH/HBK segment hopefully I smell a fued on the way. Not too high on Taker winning the rumble but you're making it interesting. I'd actually like to see where you'd go with a Taker/Vince fued. Overall, great RAW.

A pretty enjoyable show, and it felt like RAW. JBL is God. 'nuff said. I hope Hunter turns on Michaels, if you're building up to that. Santino for champ. Smith/Orton? YES! Do it!

Extreme Championship Wrestling Live from Reading, PA 1/29/08-- Results
ECW opens up with the normal video, highlighting the best ECW superstars in the game today. A small amount of pyro go off and we search the crowd. Not a pact house, but not empty. Joey Styles and Tazz join up with us, running down tonight's ECW on Sci-Fi! Elijah Burke will be back in action tonight on ECW!
Armando Estrada makes his way to the ring. The ECW general manager gets a mixed reaction, but mostly no one cares. Estrada grabs the microphone and tells the crowd that things have changed tonight. Expect numerous changes actually. First of all, he calls Smackdown a total war zone now and he doesn't want his talent to wrestle on the show. So effective immediately, the talent exchange is discontinued. Starting tonight, ECW is back to just ECW! Estrada also said to expect roster shake ups and changes in the coming weeks! We cut to commercial as Estrada leaves the ring. The crowd enjoys that announcement.
Tommy Dreamer v. Kevin Thorn This reminded me of the Originals v. New Breed matches. Dreamer got a nice ovation on his way out and Thorn, who is still using the generic wrestler gimmick, got a sub-par reaction. Match didn't go long, but it was a very nice opener. Thorn really dominated in one part of the match, hitting various big man moves. Dreamer got very little offense to start with, but by the end of the match up, he really turned on the heat. End of the match saw Dreamer put away Thorn with the Dreamer DDT. Afterward, Dreamer celebrated with the crowd. Winner: Tommy Dreamer
The WWE Tag Team Champions, the Miz and John Morrison are backstage in Estrada's office. They said now that the split is over, what happens to them and the belts. Estrada told both men that they must hand over the belts on Smackdown this friday night or they will both be suspended. They storm out in a fit of rage like you expect.
A graphic noting that Kofi Kingston is in action and folks...its up NEXT!
Kofi Kingston v. Mikey Kanciel Kofi actually got a nice pop when he came out, since hwas the only person to make a real entrance in the match. Match didn't go for too long. Kanciel looked like Mike Kruel from OVW and I'm pretty sure it was him. Anyway, after 3 solid minutes of Kingston showing off his sick abilities, he hit the Cool Runnings for the win. Winner: Kofi Kingston
When we came back from commercial, Elijah Burke and Shelton Benjamin where backstage in Estrada's office. They wanted to know who Burke will be facing tonight in the main event. Before Estrada could say anything, he just told Burke to turn around. When Burke turns around, the camera is close up on none other than the STILL ECW Champion, CM Punk. We cut to commercial before Burke could say anything.
Video plays and its just a black screen with muffle audio. At the end of this video, the screen goes completely black and you can clearly hear someone say, "By the time I come, everyone will be in a Catatonic state."
CM Punk v. Elijah Burke Even though this match has happened countless times and I mean, countless times, it never gets old for me. Shelton did come to the ramp with Burke and then went to the back before Burke got into the ring. Punk got the biggest pop of the night, as he is everybody's favorite. Burke did receive some nice heel heat in those spots during the match, where the heel always gets it. Burke really looked back to form tonight, maybe the best he has been since the last Punk/Burke feud. He got some nice aerial offense in, including an plethora of springboard attacks. You know you cannot count CM Punk out, he also got his usual offense in. The fashwash, the knee lift. The usual Punk offense. After around 12 minutes of solid action, it started to end. Burke really picked up his action and had Punk set up for the Elijah Express, but Punk got out of the way. Punk then tried to hit the GTS on Elijah, but he battled out of it. Burke then went old school on everyone and nailed an Elijah Experience, which he hasn't used in quite some time and got the 3 count! Burke celebrated his victory over the ECW Champion, finally defeating Punk after numerous tries. ECW ends with Punk shaking his head in the ring and Burke celebrating on the rampway. Winner: Elijah Burke

Friday Night Smackdown! Live from Reading, PA 2/1/08-- Results
The Smackdown part of the Rumble was recapped in a video to start the show. First off, we saw Ric Flair's United States Championship win over MVP, who had held the title for quite some time. Then, the Edge/Rey match was looked over, noting that Edge had once again used outside interference to retain his world title. Then, the Undertaker's Rumble win was once again recapped. The ordinary Smackdown opening was shown after this video package ended. Then, pyrotechnics go off and we do our usual crowd scan. Not a packed house here. Cole and Coach welcome us to another great edition of Friday Night Smackdown! Cole announced tonight's main event will feature none other than the World Champion Edge, putting his title up for grabs, against the man he screwed out of the title, Rey Mysterio! Speak of the devil, the Rated R superstar makes his way down to the ring, along with the Edgeheads and the Smackdown General Manager, Vickie Guerrero. Vickie explains that she didn't want to put Edge into this match, but the board of directors are forcing her to make this match. But, she is allowed to add things to the match, like a stipulation. Tonight's World Title match, will be a No DQ matchup! Crowd pops for this announcement and we cut directly to the back.
Shannon Moore and Jimmy Wang Yang are backstage, discussing how the Tag Titles are now vacant and they were the #1 contenders, so they should really get the tag straps. Just then, Deuce, Domino, and Cherry interrupt this little conversation and mention that they are former tag champions and they know how it feels to carry gold. Assistant General Manager, Theodore Long, walks by and overhears what is being talked about. He told all four men to suit up, because once the belts are handed over, a match will take place. We cut to commercial after this announcement.
Kane v. Kenny Dykstra Not as bad as it looks on paper, but this was a solid opener. Hopefully Dykstra will be used much more, as he has shown a ton of potential and he actually received some heat. Kane received a nice pop as he made his way out to the ring. Dykstra got only a few moves of offense in this 7 and so minute match, since Kane really dominated him. Kane hit his usual moves, including the big clothesline, sidewalk slam, and big boot. Dykstra only moves of offense included a neckbreaker and various dropkicks. Kane eventually hit a chokeslam to put Dykstra away. Winner: Kane
The Miz and John Morrison are backstage, still with the tag titles. They told Josh Matthews that they just got back from Vickie Guerrero's office and that these straps are going nowhere and either are The Miz and Morrison. They were just officially traded to Smackdown for two unknown superstars. Matthews is shocked to hear this announcement, as are Cole & Coach.
Montel Vontavious Porter v. Finlay This was a nice solid midcard match. MVP didn't do any of his usual antics and just got in the ring. He seemed pretty pissed off at himself and I don't blame him. Finlay came out with Hornswoggle, which got one of the biggest pops of the night. MVP came out with a ton of anger and fury, but Finlay being the brawler that he is, matched all his punches, with punches of his own. In the middle of this match, MVP hit a Death Valley Driver, and got the closest two of the bout. Finlay did get some offense of his own, like locking in a boston crab, that took all of Porter's strength to get to the ropes. Hornswoggle distracted MVP, by running around the ring. MVP went to chase after him and Woggle hid under the ring. MVP didn't follow him because Finlay had caught up to him. He nailed a Celtic Cross on the outside and rolled MVP into the ring, but only got a two count. At the 15:45 mark, MVP was back in control over this fighting Irishman and eventually nailed the Playmaker for the win. MVP refused to get his hand raised afterward. Winner: Montel Vontavious Porter
Ric Flair came out to the ramp as MVP was about to leave. He had the United States Championship around his waist. He mocked MVP, saying that tonight's win was impressive, but not as impressive as Flair's win last sunday. MVP started cursing at Flair for that cheap shot, but the crowd loved it. Flair said that he is always a fair man and he wants MVP again, for the United States Championship, but this time, at No Way Out. MVP of course accepts this challenge and we cut to commercial as the two stare down.
A promo video started to air. It had grunge era music playing the background and the whole promo read;
"You knock me down I get back up. By now you should know that I cannot die."
Screen went black after this segment.
Chuck Palumbo v. Batista Wow, Batista still gets big pops. The crowd loves this guy! Palumbo got no reaction at all. The purpose of this match to show that Batista deserves the spotlight again. It only took 56 seconds to put Palumbo away with a spinebuster and Batista Bomb. Afterward, Batista told Mark Henry, that next week, he is coming for him. Keep in mind, Henry eliminated Batista from the Rumble. Winner: Batista
A split of the screen takes place and you can see both Rey and Edge warming up. They finish up and start walking towards the ring. The World Title main event is up next!
A recap of the Edge/Rey Rumble match was re-shown. We are ready for this one!
World Championship Match; Edge (c) v. Rey Mysterio (NO DQ) This match was stated as being better than their match at the Rumble. Edge was actually scoring some cheers here, crowd was behind him. Rey got the fans going, but not the older crowd. The Edgeheads and Vickie joined Edge on his way to the ring, but Edge sent them to the back. Really surprising for Edge to do that. Edge got the early offense, hitting a few suplexes and a nice German that got a two. Rey did come back with his quick offense, including many drop toeholds, when he tried to set Edge up for the 619, but Edge moved several times. Rey did a suicide plancha to the outside, they got the crowd into it. Then, here comes the brutal side of this match. Rey went into a new form, that we have never seen. He took out a chair and just continually hit Edge. Edge was busted wide open. But, don't count out the Rated R superstar. He too scored chair shots to Rey. He also gave Rey spear on the outside, but both men were so worn out, that they stayed down. Edge then took out the ringbell from the times keeper table. He hit Rey in the gut and rolled him in the ring. He took his time to get back into the ring. He pinned Rey and got only a two count. Rey then redeemed himself, hitting that crazy bulldog he does. He then set Edge up, had him on the middle rope. 619 connects! Rey pins Edge.....and gets a close two! Edge just won't stay down. Rey couldn't believe it and took his eye off of Edge. Rey turned around and out of nowhere Edge hit a hellacious spear. Edge got the 3 and the win over Rey! Winner and STILL World Champion: Edge
Edge is celebrating in the ring, bloodied up and holding his World title, when the lights go out. When they come back on, Taker is standing in the ring. Edge begged him not to do anything, but Undertaker landed a chokeslam, then a last ride, then a tombstone. It was a complete assault on Edge. Undertaker grabbed a microphone and told Edge that he is on for Wrestlemania. Looks like Undertaker picked who he wants to face! Smackdown ends with Undertaker standing over Edge with his hand up in the air and the crowd cheering.

Smackdown looked good man, very realistic. Main Event looks fun. MVP/Finlay must have been great. Not sure about Palumbo/Batista, kind of seemed random. You didn't have alot of matches on this weeks Smackdown, seemed kind of shorter then usual.
Main Event looked awesome. Rey/Edge always have good matches. I really liked the ending. No Way Out is looking good bro, keep up the good work.
