16/05/2007: Champion Crowned Location: Las Vegas, Nevada
Road to the Gold Semi Final Aaron Wade beat Mario Calzione (11:24) with the A Bomb. *** Live Reports: A good opener, this was a really stiff contest, there were some brutal stiff shots thrown from both men, and the crowd really reacted to each blow. Either men could have won this, but Wade’s intensity meant that he would not stay down.
Road to the Gold Semi Final Brian Shamrock beat Juanathan Columbus (14:20) with the Clover drop. **** Live Reports: An incredible match, Columbus is spectacular for such a young talent, and Shamrock has some excellent in ring moves. Columbus was gushing blood after a vicious stiff shot from Shamrock, and the crowd really thought that he was out of it. Columbus finished the match though., and got a massive reaction from the crowd.
Chef Death beat Matt Hart (11:34) with the Slicing and Dicing. *** Live Reports: The crowd love Chef Death, and has a lot of in ring talent as well as a great gimmick. Hart is one of the best technical wrestlers on the roster, but he was just overpowered here, and had no chance of getting up after the Slicing and Dicing.
Trace Demon beat Exaybian Bloodstone (12:03) with the Demon Drop. *** Live Reports: An excellent way to end the first hald of the show. Demon looked impressive with a mix of power and technical moves that kept Williams off guard. Williams nearly got the win with the Motor City Melee, and the crowd really thought it was over, they exploded when Demon kicked out. The last minute featured Demon hitting a barrage of strikes, leading up to the Demon Drop.
- Intermission –
- Aaron Wade, Matt Hart and Ring of Honor’s Bryan Danielson signed autographs.
In a DVD exclusive interview Brian Shamrock cut a promo on how he will be the first ever NRW World Champion.
- End Intermission -
The Reaper beat Nikollaj Punk (7:10) with the Tombstone Piledriver. ** Live Reports: Pretty much a lengthy squash match. Punk got a few moves in, but the power of The Reaper completely destroyed Punk. The crowd are really into The Reaper, despite this being his first match.
Bryan Danielson (ROH) beat Dean Brody (21:40) with the Dragon Suplex. **** Live Reports: This was a complete shocker. Brody shocked everybody by his performance in this debut, and the crowd really got into his style of not knowing what he would do next. The crowd popped for Danielson, he can put on a good match every time he gets in the ring, and this was no different. The whole match was explosive, and nobody had any idea with how it would finish, Brody actually looked capable of pinning Danielson at times.
Road to the Gold Final: NRW World Championship Aaron Wade beat Brian Shamrock (32:13) with the A Bomb to become the 1st champion. ****1/2 Live Reports: This match was insane, especially considering both men had already wrestled earlier in the night. Both went all out, the whole match was explosive, both men hitting some hard shots early on. The entire roster came out to watch the action from different parts of the arena; even Bryan Danielson could be seen. The crowd exploded when Shamrock hit the Clover Drop, and again when Wade kicked out. The final few minutes consisted of both men beating the hell out of each other, with Shamrock split open after a brutal kick, which led into the A Bomb for the victory to crowd the first ever NRW World Champion.

Chef Death
So, the company has crowned a new champion huh? Too bad it isn't Chef Death. But hey, who really cares, I mean, I won my match. I destroyed Matt Hart, just like I'll destroy everyone else that faces me. I can cook, I can fight, man, i'd be the perfect husband! But in all honesty, Aaron Wade doesn't deserve to be champion, him winning the gold is a bigger fluke than Jeff Hardy getting a title match at the Royal Rumble.
Whoever faces me next is stepping into Hells Kitchen, and I doubt anyone can take the heat. So all I have to say to my next opponent is. . . Bon Appetite!

21/05/2007: Defending GloryLocation: ColaradoChef Death beat Exaybian Bloodstone (10:21) with the Slicing and Dicing. **Live Reports: A decent opener, although nothing really special. The crowd love Chef Death, and he is a really dominant performer. Bloodstone took Chef Death’s blows well, and the crowd loved Death getting the win.Mario Calzione beat NikollaJ Punk (3:31) with the Swimming with the Fishes. *Live Notes: Complete squash match. Calzione destroyed Punk and got a quick victory.NRW World Tag Team Championship: Trace Demon & The Reaper beat Devin Curtis & Matt Hart (16:32) with the Tombstone Piledriver. ***Live Reports: The crowd loved the pairing of Demon and Reaper, who actually make a pretty good team. Hart and Demon put on some excellent moments, but it was Reaper that really shone, his gimmick really went down well with the crowd, and the crowd really popped when The Reaper got the pin on Curtis with the Tombstone.- Intermission –
NRW World Champion Aaron Wade, KENTA, Dean Brody and Chef Death were all signing autographs backstage.
The first NRW DVD was on sale. ‘NRW Opening Shot’ not only features the whole event but information on how the promotion began. It was sold out by the end of the intermission.
- End Intermission -KENTA (NOAH) beat Juanathan Columbus (21:26) with the Go 2 Sleep. *****Live Reports: This is definetly the best match in NRW so far and a definite match of the year candidate. KENTA put on the performance of his career here and Columbus just keeps on improving during every match. The crowd was on the edge of their seat for the entire match, and popped when Kenta hit the GTS for the victory. Post match, KENTA offered a handshake to Columbus, who just left the ring.Brian Shamrock beat Nigel MccGuiness (ROH) (19:52) with the Clover Drop. ****Live Reports: An incredible match between two of the best hard hitters in the business at the moment. These two went all out to put on an excellent match, with a mix of stiff shots and hard hitting technical moves. McGuiness nearly got the win after a series of Lariats but Shamrock shocked everyone when he kicked out. Shamrock countered the Tower of London, and hit the Clover Drop to leave McGuiness unable to kick out.NRW World Championship: Aaron Wade beat Dean Brody (32:21) with the A Bomb. ****Live Reports: Wade’s first challenge as champion turned out to be a tough one, as Brody went all out to try and get the victory. Wade and Brody have great chemistry in the ring, and the crowd had no idea who to back in this match. Brody hit the Brody Plex but Wade managed to kick out of the move at the last second, while Brody shocked everyone when he kicked out of the A Bomb. The match got even better as it went on, but the second A Bomb was too much for Brody, and Wade got the win. (1st Defence)

**The camera shows Aaron Wade lifting weights. He sets the weights down and picks up the belt and slings it over his shoulder** Wade: Well, it's looks like I've got the belt. I am now the first champion in this upstart wrestling federation. I've got a lot ahead of me and I hope that I will keep this belt for a long time. It really means a lot to be and I will destroy anybody who stands in my path. I've got two defenses versus Ring Of Honor coming up. Now, I have nothing against ROH, I think they are a great group of guys, but, they made one mistake. They made the mistake of going up against me. I've got the belt and I intend to keep it that way. Good luck Nigel and Danielson, you two will need it. **Wade walks over to his weight bench and contunes to lift.** OCC: Pretty good promo for being sick...
