I went to a comicbook show today and didn't really buy anything but some New Warriors comics but I thought I would tell you guys about the massive price gouging I looked at with my own eyes.
30 bucks each for Vison, Hawkeye, and Apololpse. 70 bucks for Gummy Vision. 20 bucks for ML7 Ghost Rider. 35 bucks for a Deadpool.
I almost had a heart attack.

I really don't see them putting the parts in chase figures. if they do it would probably be the same piece that is available in the regular version. This is for series 9 too...I see that I left that out of my other post.

But if they pack someone one to a case, I'll be pissed. Still just a rumor anyway isn't it?

I was wondering if readers could give me some advice on selling my SMC collection? I have: [Spider-man Classics] [All MOC] Cyber Spider-man [series 9] -Villains- Hobgoblin [series 2] Venom [series 4] Carnage [series 8] Ultimate Rhino [series 9] Doc Ock w/ tentacle attack action [Spider-man 2] Marvel Select Ultimate Venom I'd be selling them as a lot, so what do you think would be a fair, total price? Thanks for any feedback !

It's official!
Marvel legends Series 9: "The Galactus Series" Action Figures The second 2005 series of Marvel Legends is going to have fans hunting for figures like never before! [My note: does that mean the hunt will result in some actual findings?] Each package includes a poseable, incredibly detailed 6" version of a Marvel Legend [plus Deathlok] and a character-dedicated comic or poster book. In addition, each figure in this series contains a piece of Galactus, the gartgantuan archenemy of the Fantastic Four! Grab every figure in the series and build a mammoth 16" version of the infamous cosmic threat! This series is scheduled to include: First Appearance Grey Hulk, First Appearance Green Hulk (variant), Nightcrawler, Deathlok, Doctor Strange, War Machine, Bullseye, Bullseye (variant) [possibly Colin Farrell likeness?], and Professor X.

First of all, SWEET! Second of all, this is a disaster waiting to happen. With 7 figures, and 12 figures to a case, they will not be evenly packed. This means that certain parts of Galactus will be harder to find. Sure, it makes everyone want every figure in the series, but that's usually the case anyway. The only way I see this working is if there a 2 each of 5 figures and 1 each of 2 figures in the 12-figure case. The five figures contain the main parts: head, torso, arms, legs, crotch. The two short-packed figures contain accesories for Galactus, so not being able to find them doesn't mean you can't make Galactus. Or, both the right and left arms and legs are the same mold, and the short-packed figures contain an arm and a leg, while the more common figures include an arm or a leg with both left and right hands/feet. Or, every figure contains a random part, possibly packaged so you can't see what it is. Then all pieces could be equally common, and collecting galactus would be like collecting baseball cards, where you have to trade with your friends. Toy Biz could even set up a ML fan forum to facilitate this. Of course, that probably won't happen and most of us will be left with an incomplete Galactus.
Also listed in Previews was series 8 (Black Widow was listed, she is definitely in the set!), Spider-Man series 13 (featuring Mysterio), and new Spider-Man mini-figure playsets, each including Spidey and a villain (4 sets, each with Rhino, Venom, Electro, or Green Goblin).
The best part of today came from me inquiring to the owner of the comic shop about what it would cost me to buy a case. He said $150, which he then decided was off (they're listed at $10.25 a piece, so a case would be like $125, I think). Then he asked me about the availability of the line in the area. I told him no one in town has gotten past ML5, and he decided he might end up buying a case or two since no one else in town is selling them, and saving me out a complete set! Sweet! I'd get every figure, and I wouldn't have to fork over money for price-gouging or the extras in the case I didn't want. Finally, Marvel Legends have come back to Lincoln, NE!
