(sorry it has been awhile since ive updated, i just wanted to take a little break after the PPV, because i had some papers to write for my first days of school)
September 18th, 2006
The first PPV had hit me quickly, and I didn’t have much time to prepare. Despite that, I was able to put on a good PPV that received a lot of good crowd response, and a lot of good talk when it was all over. Many were excited about the future of Christian Cage as his champion, and at what cost he won that title by. Also, people were looking forward to seeing their new X-Division Champion prove himself further. Petey Williams wasn’t going to have a rest, and I already had him booked to fight on Thursday Night’s Impact. I set up the card on the web to give people a look at what was to come this week.
Also, some roster cuts were once again made. Like I stated, roster cuts would be happening all month, and Cassidy Riley, Machete, and David Young had already met their fate. And everyone who reads this knows of course, Scott Steiner and Jeff Jarrett will be released soon as well. The newest releases were surprises to a small number of people, seeing as how their popularity has dwindled down, next to almost nothing. It was The Naturals, Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens. The other man released today was big man Lance Hoyt. I had tried to find a place for him, but I didn’t really find a good place that he would fit in well with my plans so I told him he was to be let go. The news was released almost as soon as it happened.
I knew I would probably receive some flak for the releasing of The Naturals, mainly from hardcore TNA fans who followed them through their title reign, but the fact is they weren’t to this company what they used to be. We were getting a lot of credible tag teams like The Paparazzi, The Dudley Boyz, LAX, James Gang, and the fact was, The Naturals were just on the bottom of the food chain and I wanted to make room for wrestlers that I weren’t just going to hold down. I didn’t want to hold the Naturals or Lance Hoyt down, so I had to let them go and try their talents elsewhere.
For the final acts of today, I continued my campaign of written contracts, getting a few more of my favorites under the official, exclusive contracts. This news was also released to the public:

News on the forefront of TNA is that The Naturals, Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens, as well as Lance Hoyt have been released from Total Nonstop Action. Chairman Rawlin Mulcahy gave us the following comment: “Mr. Douglas and Mr. Stevens have certainly not been let go because they are troublemakers, or because of their lack of performance. They have always given it their best, and I respect them greatly. However, I work for the better of this company and I do what I think is right. Letting them go came with my decision, and I wish them luck. The same goes for Mr. Hoyt. I felt that he wasn’t exactly TNA material, although I find him to be a talented wrestler, so I made the choice to let him go, and make room for men that I find more suitable for this company.

Ever since Chairman Rawlin Mulcahy has come into office, he has talked a lot about making key wrestlers exclusive to this company. He has continued on this idea, signing four more superstars to written contracts. Jeff Hardy signed for two years, Monty Brown signed for two years, Chris Sabin signed for three years, and Johnny Devine has signed for one year. The Chairman plans to get as many superstars on written contracts as possible, hoping to make TNA more worth the watch, because the superstars you see there you wont be able to see anywhere else.
