Ultimate Wrestling Championship Puroresu. Traditional American. Lucha Libre. Does this mean no EC-Dub? ECW is on hiatus for now, I may or may not pick it back up. I really wanted to do an indy/puro special attraction show for a long time, so I gave in and started one.

Are there only singles matches? That should be very interesting.
One thing though- it seems to only be like Japan/America. Throw some guys like Mistico or some Canadians in there for fun. Max Boyer would be a perfect fit.

Max Boyer would be a perfect fit. I'm toying with the idea of just singles matches, or just singles and straight up tags. There won't be any scrambles, 4-Ways, etcetera. And yeah, I'm going to be incorporating some Brits/Canadians into the second show, but I just wanted to go huge with some of the biggest names on the first show. There won't always be guys like Kensuke, Joe, AJ, Nakajima, etc. on every show.

(Note: Does anyone care if I put in the EWR ratings or not? I'm not going to because I don't feel like switching back and forth between EWR and this to type everything in. If you really want them though, just ask and I'll deliver.) Ultimate Wrestling Championship 1: The Beginning Manhattan Center; New York City, NY October 22, 2006 1) Davey Richards (ROH) VS Jay Lethal (TNA)Davey Richards pins Jay Lethal with the Butterfly Brainbuster in 11:24. Match was back and forth with explosive offense from both competitors. Lethal almost scored the win with a Dragon Suplex at 9:50, but Richards rolled out to the floor. 2) CIMA (DG) VS Claudio Castagnoli (CHI)Claudio Castagnoli submits CIMA at 12:35 with the Swiss Sleeper. CIMA impressed the crowd greatly with an array of aerial maneuvars, but was grounded often by Claudio's barrage of European Uppercuts. CIMA countered the Ricola Bomb, but couldn't get out of the Swiss Sleeper. 3) AJ Styles (TNA) VS Roderick Strong (ROH)AJ Styles pins Roderick Strong with an Avalanche Styles Clash at 19:53. Roderick blisters AJ with his chops throughout the match and tries to use Backbreakers to ground the flyer. However, AJ, with only seven seconds left in the time limit, pinned Roderick after catching him on the top rope and leaping off with the Styles Clash. 4) Takeshi Morishima (NOAH) VS Homicide (ROH)Takeshi Morishima pins Homicide at 23:04 with a Back-Drop Driver series. A hard-hitting match which pitted the head-dropping offense of Morishima against the Lariats of the smaller Homicide. At around 22:00, Homicide hit a Top-Rope Ace Crusher, and went for a Lariat, but Morishima ducked, and nailed multiple Back-Drop Drivers for the win. 5) SUWA (NOAH) VS Naomichi Marufuji (NOAH)In a battle between NOAH juniors, Naomichi Marufuji pins SUWA with a Shiranui at 15:09. SUWA controlled Marufuji through the early portions of the match. However, when Naomichi was able to leap-frog an attempted John Woo, he blistered SUWA with a series of Superkicks, before hitting a Shiranui for the victory. 6) Katsuhiko Nakajima (KO) VS Matt Sydal (DG)Katsuhiko Nakajima pinned Matt Sydal with a German Suplex Hold at 18:45. Sydal managed to hit all of his high-flying offense, including the Moonsault to the Outside, Springboard Wheel Kick, and standing moonsault. Nakajima managed to outstrike Sydal on several occasions with his hard kicks. Sydal got a near-fall with the Here It Is Driver, but couldn't nail it a second time, got kicked for his troublesn, and planted with a beautiful German Suplex Bridge for the three. 7) Masaaki Mochizuki (DG) VS Bryan Danielson (ROH)Bryan Danielson defeats Masaaki Mochizuki when Mochizuki passes out in Cattle Mutilation at 20:34. A hard-hitting match with Mochizuki's stunning kicks matched up against Danielson's forearm and elbow strikes. Mochizuki brought everything he had at Danielson, but when Dragon countered the Saikyou High Kick into a Regal-Plex, and locked in the Cattle Mutilation, Mochizuki was put away. 8) Kensuke Sasaki (KO) VS Samoa Joe (TNA)In the main event, Kensuke Sasaki pins Samoa Joe with a Northern Lights Bomb at 18:05. This match featured a chop battle that nearly eclipsed Sasaki/Kobashi, and several huge near-falls from both men. Sasaki missed a Lariat late in the match and was hit with an Inoki-like Enziguiri, followed by an Island Driver for a near-fall. Sasaki, determined as always, hit Joe with a series of Lariats soon after, and then a Northern Lights Bomb, to put him away. After the match, both men shook hands. At the conclusion of the show, the following were announced for UWC 2 in Las Vegas: Samoa Joe, Low-Ki, Naomichi Marufuji, KENTA, AJ Styles, Emil Sitoci, Doug Williams, El Generico, with more to be announced. OVERALL EWR SHOW RATING: 61%

That was an awesome show. I actually disliked one thing: Mochizuki losing to Danielson. As stupid as it makes me sound, I think he should have beaten Amdrag.

Ultimate Wrestling Championship 2: International Conflict Mandalay Bay Event Center; Las Vegas, Nevada November 19, 2006 1) Claudio Castagnoli (CHI) VS El Generico (IWS)El Generico defeats Claudio Castagnoli with a Brainbuster in 10:03, following a Mafia Kick and Half-Nelson Suplex. Claudio nearly had the win with the Swiss Sleeper, like last month, but Generico was able to counter it in the closing moments of the match. 2) SUWA (NOAH) VS Emil Sitoci (WXW)SUWA pins Emil Sitoci in 14:53 with the FFF following the John Woo in an excellent match. SUWA punished the plucky Sitoci throughout the match. Sitoci almost gave SUWA his commupance, but in the end, fell short. 3) Milano Collection AT (UDG) VS Chris Hero (CHI)Milano Collection AT submits Chris Hero with the A.T. Lock in 16:43, in an excellent display of the llave style from both men. After the match, Claudio Castagnoli jumped Milano, and the Kings of Wrestling beat him down. 4) Skayde (UDG) VS Mike Quackenbush (CHI)Mike Quackenbush pins Skayde with a roll-up in 14:09. Skayde nearly got the win with an array of pinning combinations in the closing moments, but had one reversed on him for the loss. 5) Austin Aries (TNA) VS Naomichi Marufuji (NOAH)Naomichi Marufuji defeats Austin Aries with an Avalanche Shiranui in 18:09 in an amazing match. Marufuji and Aries both brought their A-Game, kicking out of the Brainbuster and Shiranui respectively. Aries missed a 450 late in the match, but managed to counter the Shiranui into a second Brainbuster. However, when he tried for an Avalanche Brainbuster, he was instead caught with a Shiranui off the top rope, for the three count. 6) Susumu Yokusuka (DG) VS Alex ShelleySusumu Yokusuka pins Alex Shelley in 17:33 with the Jumbo No Kachi! Yokusuka needed a series of Jumbo No Kachi!'s to put Alex Shelley down, but finally did so. Shelley did put up a fight, and blocked the Yokosuka Cutter on two occasions, but when his attempt at a Shell-Shock was countered when Yokusuka rolled through, he was susceptible to Yokosuka's hard hitting Lariat. 7) Homicide (TNA) VS KENTA (NOAH)KENTA pins Homicide in a hard-hitting war at 21:19 with the Go 2 Sleep. Homicide, desperate to not fall 0-2 to the NOAH superstars, threw all he could at KENTA, including several Lariats. However, when KENTA blocked the Cop Killer, and hit the Busaiku Knee, Homicide was dazed. This gave KENTA enough time to finish him off. 8) Low-Ki (TNA/NOAH) VS Bryan DanielsonLow-Ki fights Bryan Danielson to a 35:00 Draw. An amazing match that saw Ki nearly win with a Ki-Krusher at the 30:00 mark. At 34:00, Danielson starting nailing Ki with the MMA Elbows, but Ki floated behind him and locked in the Dragon Clutch. Ultimate Wrestling Championship 3: Strong Style Symphony Los Angeles, California December 9, 2006 1) Austin Aries (TNA) VS Kevin Steen (IWS)Austin Aries pinned Kevin Steen at 14:33 with the 450 Splash followed by a Brainbuster. Steen showed promise in his first night in the UWC, but was eventually put down by Aries' explosive offense. 2) Magnum TOKYO (DG) VS Colt Cabana (ROH)Magnum TOKYO defeats Colt Cabana in 9:33 with a side-roll. This was a pure comedy match, which saw Colt Cabana join in with TOKYO's traditional pre-match dance. Cabana angered TOKYO through the match with his antics, but TOKYO got the duke with a roll-up. After the match, they shook hands and danced. 3) Roderick Strong (ROH) VS BxB Hulk (DG)Roderick Strong submits BxB Hulk in 14:45 with the Strong-Hold. Hulk wowed the crowd with his high-flying offense, but the vast array of backbreakers from Strong grounded him throughout the contest, and eventually sealed his demise. 4) Chris Hero (CHI) and Claudio Castagnoli (CHI) VS KUDO (DDT) and MIKAMI (DDT)The Kings of Wrestling defeat KUDO and MIKAMI in 17:40 with the KRS-1 on KUDO. This was a highly innovative spectacle, that saw the DDT team wow the crowd on many occasions. The cohesive offense of the Kings of Wrestling was too much for KUDO and MIKAMI, and a KRS-1 eventually put down KUDO. 5) Matt Sydal (DG) VS Jody Fleisch (FWA)Jody Fleisch pins Matt Sydal with a Shooting Star Press in 13:09 in a battle of the high-flyers. Sydal showed some spark, but still comes up winless in his second outing at the UWC. Fleisch couldn't hit the 720 DDT despite several attempts, but the Shooting Star Press was enough to down to Sydal. 6) Bryan Danielson (ROH) VS Davey Richards (ROH)Bryan Danielson wins by knock-out in 20:33 with a series of elbows to the face. This was a true showcase of wills, as both men beat and stretched the hell out of each other for over twenty minutes. Richards showed a lot of spark through the match, and won over the crowd by the end. Danielson couldn't put Richards away with any of his trademark techniques, until he just ruthlessly elbowed at the prone head of Richards until the referee stopped the match. 7) Homicide (TNA) VS AJ Styles (TNA)Homicide pins AJ Styles in 16:50 with a Lariat in an upset! Homicide pulled out everything he had to get his first win the the UWC, but was able to pull it out against AJ Styles. Styles was able to avoid the Lariat and Cop Killa on numerous occasions, but when Homicide hit the Ace Crusher off the top, there was nothing Styles could do to avoid Homicide's signature clothesline. Styles and Homicide shook hands after the match in a sign of respect. 8) Takeshi Morishima (NOAH) and Low-Ki (TNA/NOAH) VS Samoa Joe (TNA) and KENTA (NOAH)Takeshi Morishima pins KENTA in 28:09 with an exploding back-drop driver. This match truly lived up to the show title, as all four men beat every last ounce of energy out of their opponents. In this traditional heavyweight/junior VS heavyweight/junior tag match, Morishima and Joe had the most memorable encounters, with Joe even nearly pinning Morishima with a Muscle-Buster until Ki made the save. The finish came when Samoa Joe accidentally kicked KENTA in the face with a stray kick. Low-Ki sent Samoa Joe to the outside and dived onto him, allowing Morishima to drop KENTA on his head with his deadly back-drop driver for the three count. After the match, the two teams shook hands. However, when Low-Ki and Morishima left the ring, Samoa Joe slapped KENTA! KENTA and Joe traded blows in the center of the ring, and had to be seperated as UWC 3: Strong Style Symphony came to a close! As the fans filed out, it was announced that at UWC 4, the first matched of the first round of the UWC World Championship tournament will be held. The first participants for the tournament were announced as Low-Ki, Samoa Joe, Takeshi Morishima, Doug Williams, Rey Bucanero, KENTA, and Katsuyori Shibata, with the official brackets and final participation list to be released on the UWC website in the upcoming days.
