New Challenger ?
Without a challenger, will anybody step up, or be named to face WWE Champion John Cena anytime soon ?

Coach is in charge
After being absent for a week, The McMahons announced on WWE.com that they will be taking time off to recover properly....as so they have named Jonathan Coachman as new GM of RAW. Will he have anything to say to the WWE Superstars, or more specifically, D-Generation X with this new power ?

Matches Galore !
This week on RAW, several matches will take place including Randy Orton vs Super Crazy, Kenny vs Ric Flair, Snitsky & Val Venis vs Nicky & Mikey in a non-title match, Johnny Nitro vs Carlito in an Intercontinental Championship match and Kane vs Rob Conway.

All this and more, don't miss Monday Night RAW, 8pm this monday, only on USA Network.

MONDAY NIGHT RAW
25th September 2006

The match ending feud
RAW started off with John Cena coming out. Cena got straight down to business and called out Jonathan Coachman to announce who the No.1 Contender is to his title. Coach didn't answer, but someone did. Non other than Cena's long time rival Edge. Edge announced that tonight it would be John Cena vs Edge for the WWE Championship in a match to end their feud.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Randy Orton def. Super Crazy in 7:52 after using the ropes for leverage.
Crazy hit a lot of offense and high flying moves, and at times took stupid risks which may have cost him the match. Orton got in offense too, mostly with uppercuts and takedowns. The match ended when Crazy pushed off the RKO, and went for a hurricanrana, which Orton countered into a pin using the ropes for leverage.
B-

Backstage Confrontation
Chris Masters is backstage, trying to find a Diva who can oil him up for the night, when he walks into Jeff Hardy. Hardy tells Masters that he should worry less about his body and more about his in ring performance. Masters says that is easy for a fat slob like Hardy to say. Jeff responds by asking how he lost all the weight. Masters didn't like it at all and attacked Jeff, Jeff and Masters brawled.

Kane def. Rob Conway by DQ after Umaga & Armando Alejandro Estrada interfered at 2:37.
Kane completely dominated this match without getting a scratch on him. Conway didn't get one move on him apart from a eye poke which didn't do much at all. Kane was seconds from winning until Umaga came down and attacked Kane causing the DQ.

The beatdown continues
After the match, Umaga continued his assault on Kane along with Armando Alejandro Estrada. Estrada & Umaga set Kane up on an announce table, stipping it bare. Umaga went to the top turnbuckle and jumped to the outside through the table with a big splash ! Estrada helped Umaga up and they walked off like nothing had happened.

Snitsky & Val Venis def. Nicky & Mikey of the Spirit Squad in 9:18 after interference from The Highlanders.
An even match up, evenly paced. Nicky & Mikey had help from Mitch & Johnny at times but were never the deciding factor. The end came about when Nicky went for a DDT on Val Venis, but while Robbie took care of Johnny and Mitch, and Snitsky took care of Mikey on the outside, Rory distracted Nicky leading to Val hitting a DDT of his own and finally The Money Shot for the win.
C+

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Another match announced for tonight
Back from commercial and Jonathan Coachman is in the ring, he asks if D-Generation X could come down to the ring. D-X's music hits and they come out, and do their usual Suck It routine. Coach says he wants to get down to business : D-X have a match tonight on RAW. Out from the crowd behind Coach comes Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch. Murdoch & Cade say they look forward to beating D-X into the ground later tonight.
B-

Cryme Tyme Training : Strength
A Cryme Tyme video package aired, this time, showcasing their strength. While JTG distracted a big white male, Shad Gaspard knocked him over and stole his wallet. Unfortunately, a cop saw them, so it was a good time to work on speed as well. JTG and Gaspard got away with $150 and improved their stength and speed. The announcer claimed that Cryme Tyme would make their debut next week on RAW.
B

Johnny Nitro def. Carlito in 14:42 to retain the Intercontinental Championship after hitting a Standing Star Press.
Back and forth high flying action from both superstars, Carlito got a lot of high flying moves in. Overall great match, these two should be very proud. Finish happened when Carlito went to the top rope, but Melina distracted him, so Carlito got down from the rope and spat apple at her to get her off the apron. Carlito smirked, but turned around to a Super Kick and a Standing Star Press.

An interview with Shelton Benjamin
Todd Grisham was standing backstage with Shelton Benjamin for an interview. Grisham asked Benjamin why does he think Mr. McMahon is keeping him down. Shelton looked at Grisham like he should have known the answer already. Benjamin was about to speak, but he saw Ric Flair, who had a match next. Flair walked up to him and Woooooo'ed in his face. Flair then said that Benjamin is getting ''held back'' because he doesn't make sure he gets onto the show, and doesn't do anything news worthy. Flair walks away, as Shelton says he'll show him news worthy.
C

Kenny def. Ric Flair at 12:04 after Shelton Benjamin interfered.
Flair dominated during the start, but Kenny came back into it when Johnny distracted the referee so he could hit Flair with an Air Horn only to get a 2 count. Near the end of the match, it was 50/50 between Kenny and Flair, until Shelton Benjamin came down to ringside to watch. Flair started to take control again, and went for a Suplex, but Benjamin pulled Flair's feet down, thus Kenny landed on top of him. Benjamin held down Flair's feet while Kenny pinned Flair for the win. Benjamin smiled and laughed, and walked away after the match.
C+

An interview gone wrong
Johnny Nitro is backstage for an interview about retaining his Intercontinental Championship. Randy Orton comes along before the interview can get under way. Orton and Nitro stared down, but Super Crazy and Carlito came from behind and attacked them both. Chris Masters got involved, as did Jeff Hardy. A six way brawl emerged as the screen faded to black.
B-

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Trevor Murdoch & Lance Cade def. D-Generation X at 9:16 after a miscommunication between Shawn Michaels & Triple H.
Murdoch & Cade got off to a good start against D-X. Cade & Murdoch double teamed HBK for most of the match, until HBK got the hot tag to Triple H. HHH & HBK started to dominate, and HBK went for the Sweet Chin Music on Murdoch. Murdoch ducked and HBK hit Triple H instead. While HBK tried to check up on HHH, Murdoch rolled up HBK from behind for the win. Cade & Murdoch celebrated after the match, while Shawn Michaels told HHH he was sorry.
B-

Call out
Lita comes down to the ring alone, and calls out Mickie James who has been getting on her last nerve for weeks. Mickie comes down to the ring and stares down Lita before Lita slaps her. Mickie then takes down Lita and they start brawling. Several divas come down to break up the fight.
C+

COMMERCIAL BREAK

John Cena def. Edge at 16:51 after Cena hit the F-U to retain the WWE Championship.
The main event was pretty good, Edge started to take control at times but for the most part it was another even contest. Lita tried to interfere but Mickie James came down and took care of her. Cena jumped over the spear, and Edge went straight into the turnbuckle. Edge turned around to the F-U, but surprisingly only to a two count. Cena tried the F-U again to pick up the victory. John Cena celebrated his WWE Championship win after the match as the cameras faded to black to end RAW.
