The night begins with Mr. Kennedy coming out to the ring. He says that at Sunday Night's Royal Rumble he was screwed out of the World Heavyweight Title. He goes on to say that he had Batista down for a seven count, but "coincidentally" the referee was down. He was about to say some more when Batista's music hit. Batista says that instead of bitching about how he didn't win on Sunday, he can have one last title shot tonight, but if Kennedy doesn't win he cannot have another title shot until after WrestleMania. Kennedy accepts and the match is made. The Big DealAs Scotty 2 Hotty and Funaki are in the ring awaiting their opponents, Daivari walks out onto the stage. He tells the pair that they have a handicap match tonight. Scotty and Funaki laugh and look relieved. Daivari then says that they shouldn't look happy because there opponent is a SmackDown! debutant. He is 6"8 tall and 275 lbs. He is "The Big Deal" Daniel Rodimer. Scotty and Funaki's smiles soon fade as the giant walks out the curtain and down to the ring. Scotty 2 Hotty & Funaki vs. "The Big Deal" Daniel Rodimer w/DaivariThis match was a complete squash. Scotty and Funaki tried to attack Rodimer at the same time, but were totally overpowered. Rodimer first Gorilla Press Slammed Funaki to the outside of the ring. Then he ended the match with a Full-Nelson Slam to Scotty. (3:42) Match Rating- 66% Moving on to Bigger ThingsBackstage we see Gregory Helms. He looks to the camera and sys that he is sick, sick of having to face these jobbers every week. He then says that he is moving on from the Cruiserweight Division to challenge for the United States Title. He then drops the Cruiserweight Title on the floor and says Chris Benoit better watch out. Non-Title Match Chris Benoit vs. MVPChris Benoit defeated MVP in a great match. MVP nearly pulled off the win but Benoit reversed an attempted Sidewalk Slam into a Crossface for the win. (7:55) Match Rating- 70% Nightmare on Helms StreetAfter the match, while Benoit was celebrating with his title, Gregory Helms ran out and grabbed Benoit from behind and executed the Nightmare on Helms Street. Helms looked at Benoit on the ground and laughed, then held up the US Title above his head. Batista vs. KennedyA video package hyping the Kennedy and Batista title match later tonight. Theodore Long comes out and says that the champion doesn't have an opponent for No Way Out. So tonight there would be a Fatal-4 Way for the #1 Contender Spot. It would be Kane vs. Knig Booker vs. Chavo Guerrero vs. Finlay. He then says that the match will be next. #1 Contenders Match Kane vs. Finlay vs. Chavo Guererro vs. King BookerIn Match of the Night, Kane won after a Chokeslam to Finlay and booked his place at No Way Out against either Batista or Kennedy. Chavo Guerrero actually looked like winning after a Frog Splash on King Booker. But after he stood up he met a Chokeslam by Kane. Finlay then tried a sneak attack with the Sheleliegh. But Kane ducked and Chokeslammed him straight to hell for the three. (15:22) Match Rating- 80% World Heavyweight Championship Batista vs. Ken KennedyBatista vs. Kennedy ended in a No-Contest after Kane and The Undertaker came out and attacked both men. Kennedy looked like winning after a Green Bay Plunge, then the lights went out and The Rumble winner and the #1 Contender were in the ring. Kane took out Batista and Taker took out Kennedy. (11:33) Match Rating- 73% The night ends with Kane holding the World Title above his head as Undertaker looks on strangely.

Nice to see that Kane will get a title shot, maybe Kane/Taker at Wrestlemania? The rest of Smackdown was good.

Not a bad diary for being Smackdown, man. Likin the use of Helms and Rodimer. And Kane getting #1 contendership brings up a very interesting scenario. cant wait to see what happens!

The night begins with an angry Mr. Kennedy occupying the ring. He says that for the second match in a row, he had Batista down for a certain 3 count and he was screwed out of the win and the World Heavyweight Championship. Just then Kane's pyro hits and he appears on the stage. Kane then said that it isn't his fault that he couldn't put Batista away but Kennedy is not to worry because Kane will do it at No Way Out. Theodore Long's music then hits and he says that for once he agrees with Kennedy. In that he did get screwed out of the World Title last Friday Night. Long then said that he is making the Main Event at No Way Out a triple-threat match. Batista vs. Kane vs. Mr. Kennedy. He then says that tonights main event would be Kane and Undertaker vs. Kennedy and Batista. He says Holla, Holla, Holla then walks off. "The Big Deal"As Deuce and Domino are waiting in the ring for their opponent, Daivari once again appears on the stage with a microphone. He says that the mediocre tag-team division on SmackDown! needs a wake-up call and that wake-up call would be "The Big Deal" Daniel Rodimer. Daniel Rodimer w/Daivari vs. Deuce N' Domino w/CherryDaniel Rodimer once again was able to beat a tag-team by himself. Firstly he took out Domino with a huge clothesline. He then ended the match after a Powerslam to Deuce. (8:44) Match Rating- 70% UnforgivableAfter the match Rodimer performed an unforgivable act. As Deuce N' Domino's valet Cherry was seeing if Deuce was okay, Rodimer appeared behind her. When Cherry finally realised, Rodimer had already grabbed her. Daivari then got up on the apron and screamed, "FINISH HER!". Rodimer then performed a Full-Nelson Slam to Cherry as the crowd booed fiercly. Rodimer and Daivari laughed as they made there way up the ramp. 6 Man Tag-Team Match Chris Benoit/Brian Kendrick/Paul London vs. Gregory Helms/William Regal/Dave TaylorIn Match of the Night Helms, Regal and Taylor picked up the win. After Paul London inadvertedly knocked out the referee, Regal and Taylor knocked Kendrick and London to the outside and brawled with them up the ramp as Benoit looked on. Benoit then didn't see Helms sneak into the ring with a chair. He levelled Benoit in the back with it and then executed a vicious Shining Wizard as the referee was waking up for the three count. (10:11) Match Rating- 83% No Way OutAfter the match Gregory Helms then said that the match is made and at No Way Out it will be Chris Benoit vs. Gregory Helms for the United States Title. Cruiserweight Championship Chavo Guerrero vs. Jimmy Wang YangIn a close runner-up for Match of the Night. Chavo Guerrero won the vacant title after a Frog Splash. (7:45) Match Rating-79% A New EraAfter the match Chavo gets on the mic and says that SmackDown! better get ready for a new era of Cruiserweight wrestling to begin. Brothers of Destruction vs. Batista & Ken KennedyIn a great match Kane and Undertaker showed why they are one of the most dominant teams in SmackDown! history. The match ended when Kane planted Ken Kennedy with a Chokeslam. (15:55) Match Rating- 74% ConfusionAfter the match Kane once again lifted the World Title above his head. But this time Undertaker grabbed the title away from him and said that the title was his. Undertaker then slapped Kane as the crowd looked on excitedly. Undertaker then went to the middle rope and help up the title. When he came down he met a vicious Chokslam by Kane. The night ends with Kan's pyro sending shockwaves througout the arena.

- Word is that WWE are trying to sign Wrestling Society X's Matt Sydal and Ruckus. We will keep you updated on this story as it develops. - Vince McMahon is very happy with Daniel Rodimer's in ring work and reports are suggesting that Rodimer could be receiving a major push in the near future. - With WrestleMania fast approaching the planned Main Event is Kane vs. Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Title. However this plan could change many times before the big night. - Many personell backstage are said to be very happy with Gregory Helms recent push. They say that he is probably the most deserving man after have to put up with "The Hurricane" gimmick for over 2 years.

Thank you for the Helms push. Chavo Guerrero is a great man to give the Cruiserweight Championship to. I'd like to possibly see Jamie Noble brought back into the mix to feud with him.
I am glad Long was fair and gave Kennedy another chance, although I do not see him winning, because Taker/Kennedy has been done too much to use for Mania.

Great show. you seem to be listening to what I say. First, Helms gets a push, now Jamie Noble. This diary rocks. Great move bringing in Palumbo, now he isn't useless, and this is a good tag team.
The main event was some good booking, and seemed a good way to go into No Way Out.

By the way, if you want, for Wrestlemania, I can write some RAW matches if you want. I will make them about the same length as yours, and you can make any edits that you want, since my writing style is different than yours, but it would be nice to add the RAW side of Mania, as just one brands matches for Mania in a diary make it seem not as good.
