Nice show man. Generico/Cabana seemed a little too short for an ROH show, but not bad. Hero/Claudio/Sweeney should get interesting, and Nigel/Davey is a good way to build the match for tomorrow, but, I would have liked to see the tag before the singles matches, it always seems to work better like that. Good to see Generico getting on the main cards though.

ROH: Five Year Festival Night 2 February 17, 2006 Philadelphia, PA Attendance: 2,851
Jimmy Jacobs w/ Lacey VS Colt Cabana VS Delirious VS El Generico The four-corner survival never gets underway, as Jimmy Jacobs and Colt Cabana brawl throughout the arena. After the match, the two shake hands, and Delirious seems impressed with Generico.
Rocky Romero w/ Julius Smokes VS Claudio Castagnoli Rocky Romero submits Claudio in 14:29 with a Jujigatame. Castagnoli goes 0-2 on the weekend. Claudio looks bewildered after the bout, wondering what he is doing wrong.

The contest was brutal and bloody, and saw interference from Jimmy Jacobs and Colt Cabana. After the match, BJ Whitmer celebrates as Brent Albright swears revenge.---Intermission---Roderick Strong VS Chris Hero w/ Larry Sweeney VS Matt Sydal In a throwback to the original three-way match at the very first ROH show, Roderick Strong submits Chris Hero in 20:12. This was an exciting, fast-paced match, that saw Strong and Sydal especially light each other up. Strong got in Sydal's face after the match, and smirked while patting on Sydal's ROH World Tag Team Title.
Dream Partner Tag Team Match Takeshi Morishima and Nigel McGuiness VS Samoa Joe and Davey Richards Gaining revenge for his loss last night, Samoa Joe gains victory, pinning Nigel McGuiness with a Muscle-Buster in 26:09! Joe and Morishima are hesitant to shake hands. After Morishima and Nigel leave, Joe grabs the microphone.
All Hell Breaks Loose Samoa Joe congratulates Davey Richards on the biggest win of his career. "I'm also glad," he continues, "that in this war against Pro-Wrestling NOAH, you chose the right side. The Samoa Joe side." Davey, instead of accepting Samoa Joe's accepted handshake, grabs the microphone. "Joe, I think you need to learn the difference between friendship, and opportunity. When I agreed to be your tag team partner, it was so that I could get a chance to show my stuff in the ring with three of the toughest motherers in the planet. But make no mistake, I am NOT your friend, and if it comes down to you and my trainer, KENTA... I'm on KENTA's side." Joe slaps Davey! The two begin to brawl, as ROH students, Nigel McGuiness and Takeshi Morishima rush the ring to seperate them!
ROH World Championship Homicide (c) w/ Julius Smokes VS Christopher Daniels w/ Allison Danger Homicide retains the ROH World Title with a Lariat on Christopher Daniels in 21:27. Yes, I was waiting for a new show. My thoughts:
- YES. It looks like a Generico/Delirious team could be in the works. That's amazing. Generico/Delirious Vs. The Briscoes would be AMAZING. - Interesting angle with Claudio. - I hope Aries/Homicide is good. - Whitmer/Albright seems good. - Looks like Roderick is going after the tag belts? With Aries again, or a new partner? - The main event seems to be a good way to get Davey over, but I would LOVE a DR/Joe full-time team. But at least you have plans for him.
Keep up the good work.

Five Year Festival: Nights 3-4 Preview Ring of Honor continues the Five Year Festival in the midwest. On February 23, exactly five years from the original ROH show, Ring of Honor will be in Dayton, Ohio; the next night, ROH debuts in the Windy City Fieldhouse in Chicago. In Philadelphia, Austin Aries challenged Homicide for the World Title Shot. This challenge is accepted, and Austin Aries will faces Homicide for the Ring of Honor World Championship in Chicago! This is a rematch from the Best of American Super Juniors, where Austin Aries successfully defended the ROH Title over Homicide. Will history repeat itself? In preparation for that title match, the two sides will do battle in Dayton. Austin Aries and Roderick Strong, former ROH World Tag Team Champions, team up to take on the team of Homicide and Samoa Joe! This match, which is nothing short of a dream contest, is sure to have implications on the contest the following night. Jay and Mark Briscoe have demanded an ROH World Tag Team Championship shot, and that has also been granted. In Chicago, Jay and Mark challenge current ROH World Tag Team Champions Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal! However, the first night in Dayton, they must first get past the champs in two singles matches; Daniels squares off with Jay and Sydal faces Mark. Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli will be on the opposite side of two tag team matches over the weekend. In Dayton, two feuds intertwine, as Hero teams with Jimmy Rave to take on Claudio and Nigel McGuiness. The next night in Chicago, Claudio Castagnoli and Delirious will challenge Chris Hero, and making his ROH in-ring debut... Larry Sweeney! Can Claudio get revenge on Sweeney for Philadelphia, and does he blame Hero? Samoa Joe's war against NOAH will be in full gear in Chicago, as he faces off with Nigel McGuiness. Will one of NOAH's most successful gaijin put an end to Joe's mouth, or can Joe prove to NOAH that he is the real deal? Over this midwest weekend, due to the actions of Joe and Davey Richards in Philadelphia, they will be kept seperated until the situation is sorted out. However, Richards has another score to settle first: in Chicago, he will challenge Roderick Strong for the FIP Championship for the last time. Can Richards finally score the elusive victory over Strong and capture the title? Final Card for 'Five Year Festival Night 3': Dayton, OH; February 23, 2007- ROH World Champion Homicide and Samoa Joe VS Austin Aries and Roderick Strong - Jay Briscoe VS Christopher Daniels - Matt Sydal VS Mark Briscoe - Nigel McGuiness and Claudio Castagnoli VS Chris Hero w/ Larry Sweeney and Jimmy Rave - Davey Richards VS "Shooter" Brent Albright VS Colt Cabana VS Matt Cross - Jimmy Jacobs w/ Lacey VS Ace Steel - Delirious VS "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce w/ Shane Hagadorn PLUS: BJ Whitmer will be in action! WOW. Aries/Strong Vs. Joe/Cide should be great. And so should Nigel/Claudio Vs. Hero/Rave. I would like a full-time Claudio/Nigel team, that'd be sick. Strong/Richards, and both title matches on night 4 seem amazing.

Another great show. I'm glad you're using Nigel as a NOAH rep, no matter how much I hate it. And the card for the next night of the 5YF looks awesome.

Wow, two amazing shows. One thing I want to make a request for, if you're using TEW or whatever, i think it'd be cool if you posted the ratings the matches got in-game. I always like that.
Well, it's amazing to see Black and Brave in ROH, that's good. Re-uniting the KOW is a great idea, they never should have split up in the first place (thanks WWE) and now the tag team division seems even more stacked, plus, with what occurred, I'm PRAYING for Generico & Delirious Vs. KOW at the next event.
Good to see Homicide win too. I'm wondering where his reign is gonna go.
