 WWE Friday Night Smackdown 2007The Royal Rumble match has just ended, The Undertaker conquered 29 men to become the Royal Rumble winner in one of the best rumble's the fans have ever seen. Batista defended his title against Mr.Kennedy by DQ, Kennedy says he still wants another title shot. Friday Night Smackdown was becoming the fan's favourite brand and Theodore Long was very happy until he recieved a message from Vince McMahonVince: YOUR FIRED!!!WWE.com reported about Theodore Long being fired as Smackdown GM. Vince says there will be a new Smackdown GM to be announced at the next show, stay tuned! Smackdown Roster

 WWE Friday Night Smackdown Preview
Friday 02 February 2007Mr. Kennedy demands a rematch against Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship after he says he was "cheated" out of victory at the Royal Rumble. Will Kennedy get his title shot, will it be this week, next week, or even at No Way Out?
Vince McMahon is set to make an appearence this week on Smackdown to announce the new G.M of Smackdown after Theodore Long was sacked. Who will be the man to takeover Smackdown?
Mark Henry made a surprise appearence at the rumble but he got eliminated by The Undertaker. Will Henry be looking for revenge against The Deadman?
Also Chris Benoit is set to defend his United States Title against MVP, Matt Hardy and Joey Mercury in a fatal four way!

JBL 4 GM  I think this diary is looking good so far, Taker winning the Rumble, Batista retaining but keeping Kennedy in the Title picture still... looks awesome... This is one I am going to keep my eye on. |

Friday 02 February 2007*Smackdown’s intro hits as the pyro explodes and the fans go crazy. Michael Cole and JBL welcome everyone to Friday Night Smackdown**NO CHANCE**Vince McMahon makes his way to the ring smiling as the fans boo him all the way to the ring. Vince stands in the middle of the ring with a mic*Vince: Now ladies and gentlemen, I fired Teddy Long for a reason, because I wanted someone else to take over Smackdown. And you know what, there is nobody capable at the moment to be general manager so until I see fit, I’m going to be taking over Smackdown and there’s not a damn thing any of you fans can do about it!*The crowd boo loudly**All of a sudden Mr. Kennedy’s music hits as he walks on stage with a mic in his hand*Kennedy: Now Vince, I’m happy to see that your going to be taking charge of Smackdown for the time being, you know why? Cause you’re a fair person who will give me another title shot against that son of a bitch BatistaVince: You now what Ken, I’ll give you a title shot. But first, you will have to earn it with a match tonight against…..the royal rumble winner The Undertaker! If you win, you will get your title shot anytime you want except Wrestlemania of course*Mr.Kennedy reacts angrily at the prospect of facing The Undertaker*The Miz vs. Jimmy Wang YangShortest match of the night, The Miz didn’t take this match very seriously as he spent most of the match taunting the crowd. Wang Yang was very offensive as The Miz didn’t hit many moves in this match. Wang Yang finished the match as he got Miz down on the mat and hit the Yang Time and pinned Miz for the three count. Winner: Jimmy Wang Yang*Booker T is backstage with Sharmell*Booker: Sharmell, my reign as king is over, I had a good reign but now it’s time for Booker T to come back and kick some ass, now can you dig that SUKKAAS!!!*Booker walks off camera with Sharmell*Booker T vs. VitoBooker controlled most of the match, the crowd seemed to be happy that he dropped his King Booker gimmick so he gained some support. Vito never looked like winning as Booker easily won with the scissors kickWinner: Booker T*MVP is backstage*MVP: I am the biggest superstar on Smackdown. I have the most talent on Smackdown and tonight all you fans will witness my talent and see your favourite superstar MVP winning the United States Title. Because I am no pushover, I fear nobody. Chris Benoit you better be prepared to lose your title to Smackdown’s biggest talent!*MVP walks off scene*Chris Benoit vs. MVP vs. Joey Mercury vs. Matt Hardy
WWE United States TitleExciting match up, it was every man for himself. MVP nearly got the win early in the match up as he got Benoit in a roll up but he kicked out just before the three count. Hardy brawled with Mercury for a while and even hit him with the twist of fate but his cover got broke up by Benoit. The end of the match finally came when MVP grabbed Benoit but Benoit countered and locked him in the crossface to make MVP tap out. Benoit celebrated his title defenseWinner: Chris Benoit*Vince is in his office and someone knocks on the door, Vince opens it to find Batista who walks in with his title round his shoulder*Batista: Hey VinceVince: Please, call me Mr.McMahonBatista: Mr.McMahon, I’m just wondering whether I have a match tonight cause if not then I’ll be off…Vince: No, you do have a match tonight. And since I’m the boss, I can get anyone I want to appear on Smackdown. And I have just the opponent for youBatista: Who?Vince: You’ll soon find out, let’s just say I’m sure you will have a great match*Batista looks confused and walks off as Vince laughs to himself*Batista vs. The Great KhaliBatista didn’t know how to approach this match, Khali seemed to dominate with chops to the head. Batista knew he couldn’t get Khali down so he hit him with a chair to get DQ’d. Batista continued hitting Khali with the steel chair to get him down on the floor knocked out as Batista stood over him as blood pour from Khali’s head. Fans cheered Batista as he exit the ringWinner: The Great Khali by DQ*A limo pulls up outside, the door opens and it is shown to be Mark Henry. He looks up and makes his way in the building*Main Event
Mr. Kennedy vs. The UndertakerThe crowd was really into this main event, both men brawled for a while with Taker getting the upper hand but Kennedy started to work on the knee of Taker. As the match progressed Taker was getting momentum and grabbed Kennedy’s throat but Kennedy pushed Taker into the referee to knock him down. Kennedy then low blows Taker and decides to bring a steel chair into the ring. Kennedy goes to swing it at Taker but he ducks and grabs Kennedy’s throat again but all of a sudden Taker is knocked to the ground by Mark Henry. Kennedy then grabs the chair and hits it off Taker’s skull and goes to the ropes and hit’s the Kenton bomb and the referee slowly gets up to see Kennedy make the cover and counts to three!!!Winner: Mr. Kennedy* After the match, Kennedy and Henry beat down Taker until Kane runs to the ring to make the save. He helps Taker knock Kennedy and Henry out the ring. The show comes to an end as Kennedy and Henry look on as Taker kneels down on his knee and the lights go off and Kane raises his arms as fire blasts out the turnbuckles*END OF SHOW |

Mr. Kennedy has announced he will have his title shot at No Way Out. In a brief interview with WWE.com, he said that at No Way Out he will make sure the match doesn't end by DQ again

Mr. Kennedy will get his title shot against Batista at No Way Out but first he is set to team up with Mark Henry tonight against The Brothers of Destruction in tag action
Also Chris Benoit is set to go one on one with Booker T.

Hardy hit the twist of fate to Mercury and pinned him to get the win. Winner: Matt Hardy*Vince is in his office on his cellphone*Vince: I’ll make you big on Smackdown again, I’ll make you a deal, if you beat him in a match at No Way Out, you will be the one going to Wrestlemania to face the champion. You like that? Good, then I’ll see you on Smackdown next week*Vince then puts the phone down and smiles*Chris Benoit vs. Booker TAnother good match, Benoit used many restholds against Booker but when he got him locked in the crossface, Booker reached the ropes. It was soon Booker’s turn to hit his finishing move but when he tried to hit the scissors kick, Benoit reversed and hit him with a german suplex. But Booker would have another chance to hit his finisher as MVP came running down to the ring as Booker distracted the ref, MVP gave Benoit a low blow and then Booker finished Benoit off with the scissors kick and pinned him for the three count. Winner: Booker T*After the match. MVP beat down Benoit and signalled for Benoit’s United States Title*
*Video plays to hype the main event, The Great Khali vs. Batista in a last man standing match*

*Mark Henry is walking backstage to meet Mr. Kennedy as they start walking to the ring for their match*Brothers of Destruction vs. Mark Henry & Mr. Kennedy Not a long match as Mr. Kennedy decided to walk out on Henry half way through saying “I’ve got more important things to worry about”. Kane and Taker gave Henry the biggest beating he has ever suffered before ending the match with a double chokeslam and doing a double pin for the victoryWinners: The Brothers of Destruction*After the match, The Undertaker decided to lift Henry up and take him to the top of the stage where he gave him a last ride off the stage! Kane just laughed as Taker looked down on a knocked out Mark Henry*Main Event
Batista vs. The Great Khali
Last Man StandingBatista had a huge pop during this match even though it was a incredibly dull match. Khali dominated Batista during the beginning of the match and looked like he had the victory when he hit Batista with a hard chop to the head but Batista got up before the count of 8. Batista tried to attack Khali but nothing was working as Khali kept sending Batista back down to the mat. Suddenly the animal was unleashed and Batista started really going at Khali and even sent him down to the outside with a close line. Batista then attacked Khali with the steel steps off the head and made Khali bleed for the second time in two weeks. Khali and Batista re-entered the ring but Batista hit one more shot to the head with the steps to send Khali down and out as the referee counted 10!Winner: Batista*The fans had never seen Batista this fired up as Khali lay down knocked out and Batista stood over him but all of a sudden Mr. Kennedy’s theme music hits over the speakers as he walks on stage with a mic in his hand and starts sarcastically clapping Batista*Kennedy: Well done champ, that was great. But wait there, I have some news for you, because at No Way Out, our match for the World Title, it will be in a fifteen foot high steel cage!!! Batista, you will have No Way Out*Kennedy and Batista stare each other down as Smackdown goes off the air*END OF SHOW |

Good Smackdown and as Cia said, steel cage match makes it that bit more interesting, i still stand by Kennedy though.
