In one of the biggest shock's of Royal Rumble History, The Undertaker actually laid down for Kevin Thorn and allowed him to get the pin! The match got underway and Undertaker unloaded rights and lefts on Thorn and backed him into the corner and kept unloading until the referee pulled Taker off. Thorn then attacked Taker from behind andhad the upper hand in the match, until he laid off Taker and Taker took advantage of Thorn and had the match won until Paul Bearer got up on the apron and held the urn up in front of Taker! Taker then tried too resist it, but then bowed down to it much to the dismay and shock of the crowd! Taker then laid on the mat and demanded Thorn to pin him. Thorn pinned him and the ref reluctantly counted the three count.

Thorn and Bearer left the ring while Undertaker followed behind them with his head down.

Randy Orton def. Batista to win the World Heavyweight Title![/u]
Two days after making his Smackdown debut, Orton dethroned Batista and became a 2 Time World Heavyweight Champion! Orton and Batista are familiar with one another from their Evolution days and they put on one hell of a show for these fans. Batista outwitted Orton many times throughout the match, much to the frustration of Orton who wrecked the announce table outside in ffrustration. Orton stepped back in the ring and got the upper hand on Batista, using an array of chin locks and moves to slow The Animal down. The end of the match came when Batista set Orton up for the Batista Bomb, to which Orton nailed him with a hard fist to the head and Batista dropped him to the ground. Orton then hit an RKO out of nowhere onto Batista for the 3 count.

Post match, Orton celebrated gleefully with his title as Batista walked back up the ramp a broken man

Burke and Striker def. Cade and Murdoch and Haas and Benjamin to win the World Tag Team Titles[/u]
The always impressive team of Burke And Striker proved to Raw and the rest of WWE that since they left ECW, they've become more excellent than any team on Raw. And they proved that tonight by winning the Tag Titles against two of Raw;s best teams! The match was very fast paced and the action was backwards and forwards between all three teams. Burke and Striker bested both teams on more than one occassion outwitting them and outwrestling them at times. The end came when Cade and Murdoch were wiped out by WGTT and their tag duo moves. Then Burke and Striker took down Haas with a Backbreaker leg drop combo and Striker got the pin while Burke held Benjamin down to watch Burke and Striker win the Tag Titles!

Post match, the team of Burke and Striker were extremely happy with their win and went to the back knowing they still had the Rumble match to compete in yet!

Shawn Micheals won the Royal Rumble Match[/u]
After getting the prestigious Number 30 spot on Raw this Monday, HBK took full advantage of it and enetered the Rumble when it was down to the final 3!

The Final Four in the Rumble were Micheals, the returning Rey Mysterio, Johnny Nitro and Joey Mercury! Mercury and Nitro went at it, while HBK took on Mysterio. Mysterio was easily eliminated from the Rumble by Micheals after Micheals worked on the still bad knee of Mysterio which had been picked on by other superstars earlier inthe match. Mysterio could hardly stand, and Micheals easily picked him up and threw him out of the match. Joey Mercury and Jhonny Nitro were still going at itwhile Micheals caught a breather. Nitro looked to have eliminated Mercury and was celebrating when Micheals hit Nitro with a superkick and Mercury, who was on the apron, pulled the top rope down and assisted the elimination of Nitro!

Micheals and Mercury then went at it both near eliminating one another. The end came when Mercury attempted to eliminate Shawn Micheals and thought he had the Rumble won but Micheals hung on for dear life to which Mercury saw, ran at Micheals who caught Mercury in a head scissors and flipped him over the top for the win! Micheals went outside to see Mercury and shook his hand before departing up the entrance way.

Edge def. John Cena to win the WWE Championship[/u]
Thanks to a bit of petty crime, Edge got this match after winning on Raw this past week. Edge had fought John Cena a year previous and defeated him and Edge proved that lightning does strike twice by beating Cena for the title! Cena looked dominant throughout the match, but a funny landing from a top rope attack proved Cena's downfall. Edge picked paart Cena's ankle and leg until he could barely stand. Cena got Edge up for the FU oncce but collapsed due to being unable to stand. Edge thenwaited for Cena to get to his feet and gave him a thunderous Spear sending him crashing to the mat. Edge got the pin and the ref counted three and we had a new WWE Champion!

Edge was estatic with his victory, but HBK's music started up and the Royal Rumble winner came out onto the ramp. And pointed at Edge, then at the Wrestlemania 23 sign, then at himself and signalled he was coming for the WWE Title as the Royal Rumble came to a close!

Orton getting the strap was a good move, and I can say the same with Edge. Michaels winning was awesome, and I am anticipating which title he goes for at Mania.
