SHIMMER Special Attraction Match:
1PW recently signed an agreement with SHIMMER for 1PW to borrow some of Shimmer’s talent for some shows. This has helped the company out for this weekend’s shows. At Hold Your Own Night 1 we will see SHIMMER’s Lacey, Lexie Fyfe, Shantelle Taylor, Mercedes Martinez, Rebecca Knox and Malia Hosaka will got at it in a 6 woman match.
Spud vs. Delirious:
As one of the original members of the 1PW roster, Spud has taken it upon himself to show the new kid on the block in 1PW, Delirious, how it is done in this country. Who will come out on top in the battle between these two fierce competitors?
]Keenan vs. Lynn:
In a battle between two guys who definitely know how to put on a good match we will see Sterling James Keenan take on the X division pioneer Jerry Lynn. These two men have admitted to 1pwonlinecom that this is a match that neither of them thought would ever happen but are excited that it is.
Fleisch & Storm’s open challenge:
The current reigning tag team champions Jody Fleisch and Jonny Storm have thrown out an open challenge to any tag team on the 1PW roster to come out and face them in the ring at Hold Your Own. Many teams are said to be considering the challenge but we will find out who has taken them up on it at Hold Your Own Night 1.
Corino vs. Williams:
The current reigning 1PW Heavyweight Champion Steve Corino will defend his title against a man that everyone in 1PW respects and admires for his stature. In a match for the title Doug Williams will finally get the chance to hold the 1PW Heavyweight Championship. He has mentioned in the last few months that he lays awake at night wishing he possessed that title and the night after Hold Your Own, Doug Williams could be sleeping like a baby.
All this and more when 1PW brings you night of 1PW Hold Your Own.
I'm digging this diary so far. I love Fleisch and Storm as Tag Champions as I think they are both awesome and have seen them live many times. I also like the way Doug Williams is going for the World Title against Steve Corino. I'll definately be reading.

1PWHold Your Own
Dark Match: Ulf Herman vs. Petey Williams:
This was basically a squash match with Ulf being made to look like a powerful big man.and Petey being made to look weak. Ulf got a big pop as he came to the ring interrupting Petey singing the Canadian National Anthem. Ulf won at 5:12 via pinfall by delivering a devastating Tower of Power to Petey.
Williams Can’t Be Here Dan Reed came to the ring and told the fans that Doug Williams would not be in the arena for Hold Your Own nights 1 & 2 because of family problems but would be back at the anniversary show where he would get a shot at the 1PW championship that would be defended in a triple threat match between Samoa Joe, Chris Sabin and Steve Corino later in the night. SHIMMER ShowcaseMercedes Martinez defeated Lexie Fyfe, Malia Hosaka, Lacey, Rebecca Knox and Shantelle Taylor in 19:31 when Mercedes Martinez defeated Lacey by pinfall with a Tornado DDT. The Pukka 1 Darren Burridge is back stage talking about how good he is and how no one can beat him when Dan Reed gets on the mic and tells him that later on he will take on Homicide. Spud vs. Delirious In a great battle Spud and Delirous went to a 15 minute time limit draw. Both men gave it all they could in this match and Delirious was unlucky no to come away with the win as he hit the Chemical Imbalance #2 as the time limit expired. Spud also had his fair share of offence and could have come away with the win many time but neither man could put the other away. After the match the crowd gave a standing ovation to the two men who shook hands and agreed to a rematch at Hold Your Own Night 2. Storm Fleisch vs. Team F.I.S.T In a hard fought tag contest that saw many chances for a title change Storm & Fleisch retained their tag titles. Team F.I.S.T gave this match all they could and just about became tag team champions when Icarus and Akuma hit a Spike Piledriver on Storm, howeer Fleisch got into the ring just in time to make the save. The finish of the match came when Fleisch nailed Icarus wirh a Phoenix 720 DDT for the win. After the match when Storm & Fleisch were celebrating and even when Team F.I.ST were getting a please come back chant they still found it necessary to attack the tag chamos from behind and pose with their belts screaming at them, ‘These will be ours next month at the anniversary show’ (24:29) . The Pukka one vs. The Notorious 187In a stiff contest that ended with a pin after a Furry Dice Driver and a win for Burridge. Homicide beat the living **** out of ‘The Pukka 1’ and should have definitely won the match but instead was hit with a low blow and then the Driver for the defeat. Burridge celebrated on his way to the back as Homicide looked on in anger. James Keenan vs. Jerry Lyn’s ReplacementSterling James Keenan came to the ring and bragged about how Jerry Lynn wasn’t really injured but he was just scared to face him. He also said that it didn’t matter who was Lynn’s replacement as they would only be another hurdle in his quest for the 1PW Heavyweight Championship. He then went on to start badmouthing Lynn’s career which prompted Lynn’s Replacement LANCE STORM to come out and begin the match. Storm and Keenan had a great match that lasted nearly half an hour and could easily have been Match of The Night. Keenan nailed a release Dragon Suplex and got a 2 and 9/10 count on Lance Storm. Storm fired back and then locked in the Canadian Maple Leaf for the win at 29:53. After the match the fans chanted match of the night to SJK & Storm and the two men shook hands before going to the back. 1PW Heavyweight Championship Match This was a match that truly deserved to be the main event. In what was a brilliant battle that had a lot of different styles portrayed a new 1PW champion was crowned. The 3 men went out and gave the fans their all. From the start of the match Steve Corino was trying to keep Chris Sabin to the mat by working on his legs. Joe however would have none of this and just laid down a beating on Corino. At one point Joe took Corino to the outside of the ring at one point and sat him on a chair and nailed an ole kick. He then repeated this on every other side of the arena and after the last one Chris Sabin nailed a dropkick from the top rope onto Corino. Joe & Sabin worked together to take out the champ and then fought out the match between themselves. Corino had recovered near the end after a bunch of beatings and threw Joe to the out side and went out to take him out. At this point Sabin tried a flip over the top rope onto Corino and Joe but they just moved and went back into the ring to fight it out. Joe hit Corino with a Muscle Buster and locked in a Koquina Clutch to win the championship at 39:47. After the match Joe got on the microphone and said, “Steve Corino, Chris Sabin. You guys gave me a hell of a match and it is one I will never forget in my life. Unfortunately I can’t be here tomorrow night because of ROH commitments but I guarantee that I will be here at the anniversary show and I will defend this title against Doug Williams. So Doug you better get yourself ready for the beating of your life because come the anniversary show as these fans say “Joe’s Gonna Kill You”. Joe then celebrated in the ring as the crowd chanted, “Joe, Joe, Joe” and “Joe’s Gonna Kill You!” as the show came to a close.

Nice show, I liked how the Brits won not jobbing out to the Americans, I didn't like Petey Williams getting destroyed but overall good show, nice to see Joe as champ but I would have had Corino as champ as I am a fan of his o well.
Reply to my ecw 2001 please?

The show was well written, but instead of putting, "The Pukka One vs. The Notorious 187", actually put their names because believe it or not, not everybody knows your roster. I knew Team F.I.S.T. would be the mystery team, and it shocks me to see Lance Storm over Jerry Lynn.
