NOAH makes big signing! by DEAN- 09 May 2007
After a prolonged discussion with both TNA and ROH, American independent wrestler SAMOA JOE has signed a full-time deal with Pro Wrestling NOAH. This deal resulted in Samoa Joe leaving TNA, and being featured exclusively on NOAH tours. In addition, due to NOAH's working agreement with Ring Of Honor, Samoa Joe will be able to work certain ROH dates as well.
Samoa Joe will be added to every date on the Norther Navigation '07 tour, alongside the other foreigners, and will be set on making waves in the Heavyweight division. Mitsuharu Misawa, although he authorized the signing, was not too impressed with the deal, and NOAH officials have claimed he seemed quite angry over the fact that a foreigner was making such an impact.

My only beef is the GHC Heavyweight strap on the line in the event that's not the 'blow-off' of the tour.

My only beef is the GHC Heavyweight strap on the line in the event that's not the 'blow-off' of the tour. Well then you gotta take that up with Misawa himself, because that match is really happening.

I was soooo pissed off when you stopped doing IWA-MS, but glad to see your back with a new diary. I don't follow NOAH, so yeah I'll be reading because your godly, and Joe, yeah.

only thing i haven't liked thus far is the Samoa Joe thing. seems kinda unrealistic, not the fact he went on tour with NOAH, the fact he completely left TNA to do it.
Nevertheless this is shaping up to be a hell of a diary. i look forward to more.

JSWO is a poster on here and a long-time ROH fan who actually helps with the crew and is personal friends with Samoa Joe and a good part of the ROH staff/roster. He told me NOAH offered Joe a deal that pays much more than his TNA deal, and it is a sitting offer that will be available when his TNA deal is up. So with the state of TNA, and everything, Joe signing a NOAH deal is actually not too far off-base of a possibility.

yeah i can definitely see Joe in a NOAH ring i just can;t seem him thjeir exclusively. to go their exclusively he'd more than likely have to pick up sticks and move to japan, and i just can't see that happening. Tour maybe, on am exclusive/permanent basis no.

Hey, well it's not the most unrealistic thing on this board...and money plus the ability to work ROH dates may be tempting for some.

NOAH returns on 5/17 as the Northern Navigation '07 begins. Recently added to the list of gaijins is Ring Of Honor stand-out DAVEY RICHARDS. Davey got his start in California in a promotion known as Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, and eventually started working for ROH, where he has already teamed with and faced NOAH star KENTA on multiple occasions. Davey has made it known that his ultimate dream in professional wrestling is to win the GHC Jr. Heavyweight Championship. Davey Richards is a welcome addition to the NOAH roster.
The main event will see GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Jun Akiyama and Takeshi Rikio team up with Sterness member Yoshinobu Kanemaru to take on the alliance of perennial Tag Title contenders Akitoshi Saito and KENTA, and Taiji Ishimori. Can KENTA and Saito earn a title shot with a win over the champions?

Rockin', I hope Davey gets like murdered by Ogawa...or Taue...that'd be fun. Looks like a fun show, though. For the love of god, keep the tag straps on RikiYama. AND LET RO&D ING RAPE THE NOAH ROSTER!

Samoa Joe Issue, Off Of First Show by DEAN - 11 May 07
Due to an unforeseen visa issue, Samoa Joe will not be able to make the 5/17 Tokyo Korakuen Hall show, and will be replaced by recent RO&D member and new addition to the NOAH roster, KAZMA.
Samoa Joe will be at the 5/19 Differ Ariake show.

Well honestly, Joe didn't fit in the match. Thankfully KAZMA is there to make everything right and give a half-decent tag bout.
