I haven't read any current X-men at all. I'm getting there though, but I'm not buying that The White Queen is good at all. I don't know the story about how that all changed and I'm not willing to hear it. She's no hero in my book. Beast? He's a hero. Emma Frost pfffft. Give me another couple of years and I'll have every X title ever created read and I might change my mind but until then... How dare you, you-you filthy bastard.  If you were a woman, I'd slap you. |

Gambit is quite possibly the least interesting character in the history of fiction. Claremont even made me interested in Rogue a bit during his X-Treme run. Not Gambit. Plus, does anyone read Peter Milligan's X-Men? Gambit may actually be a bigger **** than Big Bertha. Have to agree. Gambit fills o void in the team. He is just "there", a sort of beefcake for female readers that like "the dangerous" guy. The only time I liked Gambit was when they kicked him out of the team for helping the morlock massacre and Rogue dropped him in the snow to die. At that point, I felt Gambit would have become such an awesome villain, the one guy who NEVER got redemption...not even Magneto got that. Instead, they welcomed him back and its like it never happened. He has a fairly rote power and I just dont give a cluck about him. Hasta la bye bye, you cajun crock. |

Like I'm theiving hamburgers. "Rabble, rabble!" And why are people voting for Hulk? Gambit I understand. The vote for Spiderman I understand. If I hear "With great power comes..." I swear. Rogue, I get. If people voted for Cyclops, I would totally understand that one. He's a jerk. And Beast can get a bit overdone. Ugh, all the old X-Men when Beast loves using big words.... But Hulk? Beast > X-Men Well not really, but close. Agreed...at least until Morrison hinted he might be gay and they made him look like a Disney reject. I think Cassidy fixed him somewhat, but he still looks like a Teddy Bear too much. Before that, though, he was my favorite X-Man next to Rogue. |
