I've always wondered what this meant when you buy tickets to a show. Does it meen that you go in and sit wherever you want?

Most of the time you'll be allowed to sit wherever you want except for rows that have been seated. Meaning no first, second, third row and so on. However sometimes they'll give you an assigned seat in one of the farther back rows. Truthfully though, in my experience, General Admission means find the closest seat possible with no one sitting in it and hope someone in second or third row leaves during Intermission.

Not to mention, pray... PRAY, you don't sit behind some blowhard who insists on standing even when he's in the first 3 rows.

It means you sit/stand in an unmarked seat. In a place like CHIKARA, all admission is GA, so it's basically first come, first serve in that you can sit in the front row or stand in the back. In other places, like ROH, there are rows of assigned seats, and then also General Admission elsewhere. In the National Guard Armory in Philly, General Admission seating are the bleachers on either side of the building as well as anywhere else in the building where there aren't assigned seats (standing room only).

I'm sitting GA for the first time in Chicago. I've spoiled myself with ringside seats for the last 2 years, so I hope I can still enjoy it.

I always get GA at the Edison shows as none of the shows run there are worth getting anything better anyway. I've often had people leave during Intermission or before the main event where I ended up in either the 1st, 2nd or 3rd row.

I've got GA tickets for ROH in two weeks. Hopefully, I'll be able to sit somewhere good.
