Jarrett is a great heel, that everyone hates (Except me, I love Jeff)

I think being hated more and playing the better heel are two different things... any wrestler who makes his viewers legitimately hate him isn't doing his job. That said, Christian gets my vote. Christian is the cocky, manipulative heel that ya love to hate. His promos are top notch and his heel tactics are some of the best in the business... just because people appreciate him for it shouldn't take away from his ability to be an effective heel. Jarrett is a heel for monopolizing the TNA title and always being the #1 or 2 guy in the main event. No disrespect to Jarrett, but his ability to play a heel extends to the typical generic heel promo and smashing face wrestlers over the head with particle board guitars.

Jarrett was a brilliant heel in early TNA. Then, after 2004, he just got so annoying. When he won the belt at Slammiversary, people nearly rioted because Jarrett was champion AGAIN! And lets not forget TNA's first show coming back to television, where we find out Raven, TNA's home-raised boy who never got the belt before, lost the belt just in time for Jarrett to come back and take credit for TNA's initial ratings. Jeff Jarrett was unbearable in 2005-onward, simply because it was the same routine.
Christian, on the other hand, is the best heel in wrestling today. Funny when he has to be, brutal and calculating at others, and always, always paranoid about people over-taking him. Thats the basic lay-out of every great heel wrestling has ever seen. And you know what, I'm still not tired of a heel Christian. I still love his character, he makes you love to hate him. Christian is a text-book heel, and with a backwords company like TNA, the more text-book wrestling things the better.

If this were a few months ago, I would've picked Jeff in a heart beat. But... Christian has come so far, and is so  ing great on the mic, I have to vote for him. Then again... Cage does get cheers as a heel, something Jarrett never did.. And Jeff is the most hated man in wrestling.. So.. Now I dont know.. haha |
