Victor comes to us from the second series of Marvel Legends. Those that have collected ML since the beginning, probably know the story behind this figure. Doom was slated to be in the first ML series, but he wasn't quite finished when it came time for the line to go to production, so he was replaced with an inferior Toad figure. By the time ML 2 rolled around, Doom was ready, but Toybiz initially wanted to make the Doombot the common figure, and have Doom himself as the chase figure. Toybiz decided against it, and the Doombot was the chase. As mentioned, there is a Doombot variant of this guy, just with a metal face under the mask. Doom was also re-released in a Fantastic Four boxed set, with a slightly darker cape, and minor tweaks to the face. He still stands as one of the better ML villains we've gotten, although he isn't terribly easy to find.

I think I only saw him once in stores and of course, I grabbed him up.
You say he is one of the better villains, in fact, he is one of the ONLY villains to be made.

Actually, it seems like we have a lot of villains.

Actually, it seems like we have a lot of villains. I dunno, they could have made more I think. Hell, they don't even have Kingpin on the 2006 schedule except the two-pack.

Yeah, but atleast we're getting Kingpin. Hopefully the DD is in his yellow gear.

If DD is in Yellow, that is SO mine... I probably shouldn't even bother... all the good figures are too damn expensive

My bad. There's a variant to the Kingpin/DD set, draw your own conclusions. Brian, the two packs will probably cost around 15 bucks at retail.

The two packs have me mildly excited. I would rather enjoy a ML Kingpin standing proug on my bookcase. Dr. Doom looks good. I say it each time, but I wish I had gotten into ML sooner.

Two packs?!? where have I been
Who else will be in these two packs you speak of?
And Doom is one of my favorite figures. It's the reason I started collecting ML actually. I only planned on buying him, but he was so amazing, I kept going from there.

I don't mind the variants because it gives you something extra to go out and search for. Makes it a little more fun. On the other hand, it sometimes sucks because of scalpers. Probably the reason I never found Deadpool.

Isn't this basically the same figure as the Fantastic Four boxset?
If so, yeah its a cool figure... I never pose it much though. I'm not a big Doom fan.
