I figured I'll make a general ML discussion thread... let me start by asking a question:
What is the best ML Style Venom? Some people are telling me the sinister 6 boxed set Venom.. others are telling me the new SMC Venom is better... I definately need him for some villains for Spidey to battle.

From pictures, I think I like the new one better. But you may not because he has an action feature. Honestly, the Marvel Select Venom is probably the best one out there.

I haven't seen the new one, but the Marvel Select one is nice, but I also do like the one from the box set.
Also, Dinan, I have an extra ML3 Wolverine and an extra ML Iceman, if you need them.

I think the new SMC Venom is the best representation of the character yet. If you are looking for villians you should really try to get Sandman and ML8 Doc Ock.
Both are superb figures.

I kinda need Iceman, not so much wolverine, as I want the ML6 one first. I plan on making a big purchase on ebay around friday, so if I have any money left I'll get back to you

Well, I won't be asking for much for them, or maybe we can pull off some sort of trade. Honestly, they are just taking up space in my house, and have been for ages.

I haven't found anything in this town as I've stated many times. ML 9 is the only one. The problem is ML 9 REALLY sucks. I've seen people already getting ML12 and I haven't even seen 10 yet. Dammit.

I'd actually suggest passing on Iceman, since I personally thought it was a a piece of **** figure. But if you need to pad out your X-Men, go for it.

Seriously, how did they screw up Iceman for crying out loud? They should have gave him a good ice slide base, different head and body, and just made him clear blue plastic. We need a new Iceman stat.

I basically need him for the X-Men, until they make a superior one.

Except for the base, which was pure crap, I actually really liked thhe ML8 Iceman. I thought the head was really good, and I enjoyed the frosted look, as a translucent figure, especially a super-articulated one, rarely looks good, because you can see all the joints. The only thing I would have changed, other than the base, is the torso, because you just don't need that many joints in a non-Spidey figure.

I actually kind of like that Ice Man, for whatever reason. The base could have been better, but I still like it.
Yeah Brian, $15 delivered for them both. Honestly, I just want to get rid of them, as they have been sitting in their package collecting dust since they came out. I am too lazy to return stuff to the store, and I had gotten them for a friend, who had already gotten them. At least this way, I get a little money back, and I get to help a friend out.

I will say I liked Iceman a little better, after I swabbed him with acetone, and gave him more of a clear look.

How easy was the acetone stuff? I suck at doing stuff like that usually, but if it is just as easy as swabbing it with some acetone, I can handle it. I have a ton in my garage.

Yeah, whenever I try to use stuff to remove paint or something, I always up the figure. It has made me a little hesitant to try anything. I think I would like my Iceman a little more if I didn't think I was going to break the damn thing everytime I try to move him.
