A top draw, first encounter, dream match?
I mean when Go Shiozaki, Necro Butcher, Tyler Black, and to a much lesser degree, Human Tornado... when those 4 men came in, ROH sped fast into capitilizing on many matches we as fans held tight for in the hopes of the seemingly possible.
So we were treated to some interesting matches on cards that really either benefited or didn't feel the effects of it, and now those matches have happened and most won't live up to the hype if they are booked again.
So my question is, what is left in ROH that hasn't been done or even should get a revisit? What matches could light a fuse under ROH if promoted in such a way that they are valued and not just a "special challenge" thrown together to change things up?

Talent is used all across the world. It is hard to protect a match that some other promoter could use to draw. Kingston/Necro happen somewhere?

There is one ROH match I can't believe they have yet to do, and I can't believe they haven't:
Bryan Danielson vs. Claudio Castagnoli
It would be so awesome too.

There is one ROH match I can't believe they have yet to do, and I can't believe they haven't: Bryan Danielson vs. Claudio Castagnoli It would be so awesome too. Already been done in PWG. I heard it was awful. ROH does not have anymore top draw matches right now other than the final Danielson/Morishima match. You could put Nigel against Steen, Necro, Go, Jacobs but none of them will be something that would be a main draw match like Joe/Punk, Joe/Homicide, Danielson/Morishima, Nigel/Danielson, Danielson/Joe, Homicide/Danielson, Nigel/Morishima. I don't expect many huge shows from ROH this year. Even the Manhattan shows have become less special because ROH runs so many shows that things get stale quickly. One thing I would like to see ROH do is get Davey out of the NRC and throw him in feuds with Danielson & Nigel. |

I know it's been done but I'd like to see Steen/Generico ROH style. Much like the Briscoe vs. Briscoe matches.
And the one I'd REALLY love to see is Morishima/Necro.

I'm sure I could think of some matches I would like to see, I just can't really think of any off the top of my head, that haven't been done.
I would like to see Generico/Aries and Jigsaw/Aries which i wanted to see in Dayton, but it was changed. That match intrests me alot for some reason.
When Quack came in and wrestled Sydal, Danielson for the second time, and alot of his other matchesincluding the tags, i got alot of matches i wanted to see and considered "dream matches." If they brought him back and paired him with like some of the japanese talent, I think id get alot of dream matches. Quack/CIMA, Quack/Kenta, vs. Dragon Kid.....pretty much with any of the puro talent and he's bound to put on a good match. But id love to see Quack and Dragon Kid.
Other than that, I can't really think of any. Maybe Tyler vs. Jimmy.

I wouldnt mind seeing Hero vs. Aries. Showstopper, that match happened at Glory By Honor VI Night 2. It was actually pretty good and Hero had the line of the night calling Aries "Mr. 2005". I loved it. |

I loved it. Sounds like at least one worth revisiting. I'm stumped. I wouldn't have minded an Aries-Necro bout, and I'm totally in favor of Steenerico(sp?) would be a cool 1 on 1. Outside of those I dunno, maybe Quack vs Evans. That one is interesting though I could replace Jack with Necro... Poor Quack if that match were to take place. |
