I was just wondering the preference of all of you on this board between the big two. I prefer DC just because I think their heroes are more human and acceptable than Marvel's. I do not like all the flashy colors and such that Marvel has or all the gamma rays. This is not to say that I think Marvel is crap, I happen to think that the X-men have a great story, but DC's character's, i think, are superior. Basically Batman is the greatest superhero and DC is the best company.

I personally like the Marvel Universe because of the many many characters they have and how you can easily jump back on at any point if you've been away from comics for a while. But DC is leaps and bounds better at storytelling than Marvel is, so I voted for DC

I grew up reading X-Men, Hulk, and Batman, so I got a little of both companies. I've always felt that with few exceptions, DC has always been more about the costumes, than the people wearing them. DC does have the better stories, but I'll find myself more emotionally invested in Matt Murdock, than Clark Kent. Logan is just as interesting as Wolverine, but I honestly can't say Bruce Wayne is as interesting as Batman.

I've always been partial to Marvel. For the reasons you like DC are the reasons I don't really like them. I think sometimes the characters are a little too human. That's not to say their bad, I love them, I'd just prefer to read a Spider-Man than a Batman.

I have always been partial. And lately, DC's Infinite Crisis stuff has been some of the best comic stories I have ever read.
But, growing up, I was always a huge Batman. I loved the Super Friends. Don't get me wrong, I love Marvel as well, and I prefer to not choose at all really. To me, I like the main DC characters more than I like Marvel's heavy hitters. However, I find that Marvel has more total characters that are interesting than DC does.
I love them both, but my long-time love of the JLA puts DC over the top for me personally.

While I have recently enjoyed DC's work (i.e., Infinite Crisis, JSA, and Wonder Woman), I am a Marvel enthusiast (e.g., Marvel Knight's Spider-man, Ultimate X-Men,... Emma Frost) at heart. Although, it's really a draw, as of now.

I used to think Wonder Woman sucked ass, but man, lately they have done wonders with her character, and killing Max Lord was sweet.

I am a Marvel Zombie at heart. Always have been, always will be. I can't really say why it is. Maybe it has to do with the fact that most Marvel heroes are people first, heroes second, while DC tends to be the other way around. Or maybe it has to do with the fact that DC doesn't have Spider-man or the Avengers.
But right now, I prefer DC. The storytelling is better there right now, and they're doing a magnificent job tying their universe into one cohesive thing...probably better than anyone's done since Stan Lee wrote the mjority of Marvel's titles. And I really love that. Nothing takes me out of a story faster than something that defies something else I've read in another issue. That's happening a lot at marve; right now. DC, not so much.
I may also prefer DC right now because it's so new to me. I didn't read DC until Countdown to Infinite Crisis, and I'm still in that stage where I'm discovering new titles and characters I didn't know much about before.
For the record, I voted DC. But if I had to choose only one company to read for the rest of time, I got three words for you: MAKE MINE MARVEL!

I've always been more of a fan of Marvel. Someone summed up my feelings best when they said 'DC's characters are superheros whereas Marvel's are people with super powers' or something along that line.

I was always a Marvel fan, but lately they have been sucking big-time. DC, however, has been having amazing storylines and actually been rekindling my interest in (American) comic books.

Though people get confused by my ML collection, I love DC more. Most of my favorite heroes are from there. I've been a huge fan of theirs for a long time. I'm a big fan of Golden Age characters as well, which DC has in abundance.
