Just thought I'd stop in for my yearly complaint about how Hasbro should be embarrassed for what they done to this line. IMO there is no excuse not to have some sort of figures out on shelves. And with all the people begging for a 6-7 inch line, I have no idea what they are waiting for. Agreed. They could have tried the 6 inch line while they were waiting for the next movie to get put together. Why not try to get something moving rather than sit around and do nothing? Sales of the line were rough the last time around because A) Hasbro's distribution is atrocious, and B) People couldn't find the figures to buy them even if they wanted to. Oddly enough, B is solved by fixing A. If they got their crap together and stocked stores and the figures STILL sat...then ok, people are moving away from Joe. I get it. But to just let a line with this much history molder is silly.

Maybe Hasbro has done their research and feels there really isn't a market for it at mass retail. Which really sucks because I'm wanting some new Joes toys but can't justify the subscription service.

I think it's more that Hasbro doesn't want to put out anything that's not tied to something on TV or in the movie theatre anymore. Those military figures that TRU carried seem to sell pretty well. I always saw them being restocked. I think part of the issue the last time around with Joe was that Hasbro only offered the barest of bare minimum support. Sure times have changed, but we still need vehicles and some small playsets for our little army men. Also, putting out more characters than just multiple repaints of the big names needs to happen as well. 3.75 will always be king, but damn dude, just test the water on a 6 inch line.

You're probably right about it not being connected to something currently out. Hopefully they have something big planned for the movie release next year. If they ever do Joes the way they are doing Marvel Legends I'll be a happy man. 4 waves a year, 4-6 figures each with some sort of build-a-figure or build-a-weapon. My god, I'd be in heaven. Like the ML line, there is such a massive catalog of characters they really need to dive into. I know Marvel is way more popular than GI Joes which gives them the ability to throw some more obscure names out there but a few of the lesser known guys here and there wont hurt and would be pretty damn cool to see.

Some of the gimmicks and outfits look cool enough that a character doesn't need to be one of the big names to sell either, I don't think.
Crystal Ball Cesspool Sci-Fi Budo Zandar Zarana Deep Six Raptor
and others obviously, this is just off the top of my head.

12” Joes and the Mego/Remco 8” figures along with the little 1/32 scale army men were my childhood.

found a shoebox with a bunch of random original "60's era" GI Joe accessories, one doll, a few vehicles, etc. that my uncle had stored in his attic. he wants me to sell/get rid of it for him and i have no use for the stuff as my love for Joe's is the 80's-early 90's 3 3/4" figures
Dunno how much any of that original stuff is still worth and if its worth trying to piece it out or just sell it as a lot.

Without making me have to go back and read through the 80 pages...is there anyone who can give me advice on fixing old joe figures that the rubber band in the middle has broken?

Without making me have to go back and read through the 80 pages...is there anyone who can give me advice on fixing old joe figures that the rubber band in the middle has broken? Personally, I phased out most of my ARAH and 2002-2006 figures because the o-rings kept breaking or the back screws were stripped and replaced them with 25A/ROC/30A/Retaliation/50A figures.

I really wish Hasbro would start making some mass retail Joe’s again. Especially the 12” ones. And maybe try a 6” line for all the characters they did in the 3.75” line.

Every year TF rolls around is another year of me expecting Hasbro to announce a 6" line. I just don't think they're willing to launch the line without film support. If the next Joe film does actually happen in March of 2020, that should mean we at least get news about the toy support that will be coming over the next year. I don't think they've hired a single actor for that film yet, though. I guess we'll see, but I'm assuming another year of waiting with Joes.

It is kind of sad they won't pull the trigger on 6" Joes. Especially with what Hasbro has done with the Marvel Legends and what it looks like they are going to do with the upcoming Power Rangers. Missed opportunity if you ask me.

There is a Kickstarter campaign for a company trying to create a line of 6" military figures which could interest people who want a 6" GI Joe line. From the prototypes shown, it looks like they have ripoffs of Snake-Eyes, Shockwave, Cobra Trooper, Hydra Soldier, SHIELD Agent and generic Army soldier.
