www.aint-it-cool.com/display.cgi?id=22569"Q6.If spidey does wear the symbiote, what does it look like exactly? A.The same costume as blue/red only black with all the scale detail and webbing over it. Not impressive. It looks like this because it stuck onto his old costume then it clung on Peter. " looks like the poster's the real deal... and Venom sounds like it could be either really cool or really sh*tty EDIT: I can't wait to see BRUCE CAMPBELL's CAMEO!!!!!!!

At first I was really dissapointed by the idea of the symbiote suit being just the old red/blue one, but now it's starting to grow on me. Gives the film that stand alone feel to it, really seperating itself from the comics, which isnt always a bad thing.
I also love the fanart of Venom, it looks amazing.
All the news there really sounds awesome, itll be interesting to see how much of it is true, though.

Too be honest I don't mind the costume... from a movie point of view that's alot easier to see in the dark shots and as it has details it's alot easier to make it look real on CGI. It sounds odd but a pure black costume with a white spider would be a bitch to get look right.

I like it... though I do hope it ha a white spider on it, even if not the venom spider. And it might be there, behind his arm.
If it's not, that'll be fine too. But it would be nice.

Anyone have the pic? It was removed from the site. ;D Anyway... it just looks like a black and white pic.... Symboite Spidey never had the details in the comic basically because the webbing wasn't rubber, but since the movie costume has the rubber webbing... I guess it only makes sense.

I always loved the black attire for spidey, the white spider plays a big role too! I love my shirt of that attire: I'll be disapoited if they drop the white spider or make the same costume as first and second movie, only black Edit: I changed the pic for a censored one

It could be kind of cool if the costume was black with the webbing being white..

Although it's not the Symbiote Spidey some hoped for, I'll have to agree with Angel in that it gives the film a stand alone feeling. It's a shame that Danny Elfman (allegedly) left after Spidey 2, though. He could've made some compositions to totally fit in with the rumored darker atmosphere of this episode.

Furthermore, I will piss myself with joy if Peter uses the symbiote to turn into "that guy from Aerosmith..."

I think it's a pretty daring move! And I'm in full support. In the second film, they threw away a lot of the comic book conventions that the plot relies on, which is awesome, it opens things up in a huge way. I'm stoked to see what they will do plot-wise, but this suit should be an interesting touch to diverge from the first two.
