I've heard this before, also WWF officials would apparently take the belt from DiBiase as soon as they had finished recording a promo or whatever and then lock it up

Cubic zirconia on real 24k gold!! the gold is real the diamonds are fake! it actually went down in value, it`s used to be worth $400,000 (from Debiase himself in an IGN interview)

not surprised - im sure all the old belts are locked up there Actually back around the mid to late 80s when a new champion was crowned they got to keep their belt and a new one was presented to the champion. The WCW 91 title was hanging in Ric Flairs Golds Gym in Charlotte, NC...Yet Sting and Lex Luger has a copy of it as well. Of course we've all see the pictures of Hulk Hogan and The Rock with their Championship belts

I'd love to take a tour of the WWE vault and see all the really old stuff down there and re-live the classic moments!

When/If they ever actually build the HoF building, that belt better be in it.

I'd love to take a tour of the WWE vault and see all the really old stuff down there and re-live the classic moments! I'd be chased around the building driving the WM III mini ring cart, dragging the wax dummy of Diesel in the casket while guards chase me in golf carts, ala Pee-Wee's Big Adventure. Oh, and... ...yeah, the belt has always had the WWE logo etched into the top of it.

Why would they spend so much money on what was essentially a prop?
