I'd believe in my GOD. When I was in the 3rd grade I'd saw a angel cause I'd was a new kid in the school. This happen at Rescess. If you think that GOD is fake or a myth. Try this test out. God wants to show people that he's real. Jesus also said, "Test your GOD my FATHER," Test my GOD if you wish. Pray to him and said, "That a child of yours told me to test his GOD THAT'S YOU." Then when you get done saying that. You could pray for heath or healing or marriage or new house or new car what ever you want to pray about. It mite be a while. You just have to keep praying OVER AND OVER. When you get done talking to him say AMEN. Talk to my GOD like he's your best best friend. I promise you won't regret. And where did you get Jesus's words from? The Bible no doubt. A book that was written hundreds of years after Jesus's death. Oh wait, excuse me, he rose from the dead didn't he... If we didn't have religion we could have saved so much time and advanced so much. You have the church crusading against messing with human embryos because it's 'playing god'. Think how advanced we would be by now if religion never had a say in politics or science over these thousands of years. People would have put their minds in to more pressing matters instead of praying and worrying if they are going to hell all day. Think how many wars would have been avoided. There would never have been a holocaust because there would have been no jews to kill. There wouldn't be all of this trouble in the middle east. It just baffles me how stupid people can be to believe in a set of rules that were laid out thousands of years ago to keep people in check. And wow, throw in the threat of eternal damnation and you have one hell of an incentive to do as you are told. It's true a lot of bad things have been done in the name of religion, but it seems to me that you're completely ignoring all the good things that have been done in the name of religion. What about all the hungry people who are fed every day by soup kitchens run by religious organizations? What about the homeless shelters run in cities across America by religious groups? What about charities across the world that give to the poor and the needy in the name of religion? What about the individuals throughout the ages who were inspired and encouraged by their faith to do things they may have never done otherwise? What about the people who find their faith gives them purpose in life and gives them a reason to try and make their world a better place? What about all the good things that have been done in the name of various religions and deities since the dawn of time?

So your telling me if these people weren't religious they wouldn't be helping the homeless and needy? They're only doing it because of their faith? If these people are so kind and not selfish, they wouldn't need religion to give them the incentive to help these people.

Religion teaches them to help those who are less fortunate.

I agree 100% word for word... I completely dis-agree, compadre. I mean, people are allowed to believe and not believe in whatever they want. Though personally, I do believe in God. Your Religious I don't believe it at all TBH...

People should, but they don't. I think by nature we're selfish and tend to look out only for ourselves. It's an evolutionary thing really. There are limited resources and it's my evolutionary imperative to survive and pass my genes along. It's harder to do that if I'm using what few resources there are to help people who can't help themselves. From an evolutionary perspective I'm much better off being selfish as that helps my survival in the long run.

Is he gonna be reborn? In todays world do you really think that people are gonna flow him about? No, because peole are more open minded now. It's not 2000 years ago when people farmed all their lifes and died. Sorry, I cant take you serious when you talk like a preacher on crack.

According to commonly accepted Christian theology, one day time will end, the skys will split open and Jesus will return from the heaven in full view of every one on Earth. The faithful will return with him to Heaven.

I try to watch "Jack Van Impe Presents" every Sunday night at 11:30. I watch it to laugh. That guy and his wife are hilarious. They are constantly saying that "Jesus is coming soon". I constantly think while they say this, "Soon?, that's all you are giving me? Be more specific goddamnit!" They say it every damn week. This is how I see believing in god. First, I see it as an excuse to not have real answers to the hard questions of life. You get asked something, and you can fire back with the never-fail "god " answer. and Second, I see it as a coping device. Because when you are in a bad situation, if you are ever down in the dumps, you are ever lonely, you can always say, "I have god", or "no worry, god's got my back", that kinda thing. It's kinda like a kid and him imaginary friend. Some may be like, "leave him be, he's just talking to his imaginary friend", while others might be like, "stop talking to yourself". -CMD

Nope, i need more proof than a book that no one can prove was written by god. Back then people claimed that god spoke to them in their head. Today if someone hears voices in their head they are labeled crazy.
