I just watched an episode called 'Vengence' & must say this show is actually quite good. Does he wear the Superman Costume in the programme though?

They've already said the last frame they'll shoot of the show will be him getting the suit for the first time and flying away.

James Marsters and former Buffyverse writers aside, not even Rosenbaum, O'Toole, Mack, Durance, and the occasional visit by Glover, can save the show from its horrible writing and massive continuity issues. I've watched Smallville since day one, and quit after watching the astounding disappoitment that was its 100th episode. The writing is repetitive and poor, and the acting by Kreuk and Welling are horrible. Unfortunately, it's just a stupid teen drama.

I was kinda dissapointed James wasn't in the episode, the only reason I was tempted to watch was because I'd heard he was in it. After reading up on tv.com it seems his character's left.

Read the ing Superman legend and you'll see why the 100th episode was glorious. Also watch some of the episodes where Welling has to expand and get out of his element (ie the episode where he and Lionel switch) and then tell me his acting is terrible. So shut the up and go back to your god damn Japanese shit. off bitch!

Wow, I can't believe I wrote that. I'm sorry I went off like that. I love the show and I can't believe that it is terrible writing like you say.
I apologize for my rant.

I love the show. It's normally accurate with most things. I got into it in the 2nd season, but since have purchased all 4 dvd sets. It's a great show, I encourage everyone to give an episode a watch.

If you want to watch two of the best written episodes in recent television history, tune into the 3rd season episodes where Lex is commited. The acting is amazing.
I wish I had my DVD sets with me because I don't feel like going to TV.com but I will to find the name of the episodes.
EDIT: Check out season 3 episodes "Shattered" and "Asluym"

If you want to watch two of the best written episodes in recent television history, tune into the 3rd season episodes where Lex is commited. The acting is amazing. I wish I had my DVD sets with me because I don't feel like going to TV.com but I will to find the name of the episodes. EDIT: Check out season 3 episodes "Shattered" and "Asluym" I agree with that. I still think Shattered and Asylum are the best 2 episodes made. RCD, you were saying about Marsters, he came back last week. I'm amazed that's not enough to get Chase watching actually.. While I do still watch Smallville and like it, I've got to agree with Chase that the writing has gone downhill a lot and I'm not as much a fan as I used to be. I think Welling's acting has come on a long way since the show started though, but Lana does annoy the hell out of me. Her character is just whiny, boring and repetitive. Even though I did enjoy the 100th, I've gotta say I did feel cheated when she didn't die, and didn't find out Clark's secret. They finally made that happen then just took it away JK's death could have been done in a much better way I felt. The problem Smallville has is that in the mid-season episodes not enough happens. At the end and start of a season it's great, a lot tends to happen and each episode is completely wrappen in Superman mythology. But for the most part, the mid-season episodes have become boring because it's just always about Clark and Lana's relationship, which hasn't changed since the 2nd season really, and even then it was slightly irritating. Clana is just stale, and hopefully after last week's episode they'll leave it alone for good now. And the "FOTW" episodes don't interest me anymore because after 5 years I'm not really fascinated by watching Clark bring down yet another Kryptonite powered troubled teen... Plus the FOTW episodes in earlier seasons were much stronger anyway. I think Smallville should end on Season 6, and AlMiles should write all of the final season.
