What if it was a hologram that Stark made...hence the old costume...Peter could have wanted to back out but Stark didn't want his ace pulling out...so he had another card up his sleeve...this will undoubtedly piss peter off seeing Caps views on the act and leaving Stark. Hmmm....that's interesting. I doubt it, but it's an interesting theory.

That's a very intriguing idea. . . . That could definately be the cause of Pete switching sides, especially if something were to happen to May or MJ as a result. . . .

You've said there just about the exact thing me and many others have railed about online in the past couple of weeks. It goes back to one thing-Joe "Please Someone Fire Him" Quesada and his thinking that anything he comes up with is "pure GENIUS" while thinking everything else was pointless. I like the IDEA of Civil War, but Spider-Man should have been the conflicted guy on the side, feeling pressure from both sides, so he remained like Stan Lee wrote him all those years ago: Us. Him just going right out and revealing himself is completely against character and (as you said) not undoable without making it moot and intellectually- disabled or just flat out insulting. I'd have written it better if Spider-Man felt conflicted for a few issues and leave TOWARD telling who he is, then saw someone who did just that lose-let's say-their whole family (wife, kid, grams, puppies) by a vengenace seeking villain. Suddenly Peter learns WHY they wear masks-not for shelter from justice but because that kid in the burning building isnt the only one they're trying to protect. I do see from a few issues ahead that it looks like the villains come a'-callin' for Spidey's hide for this. I see this whole thing as a small part in Joey Q's quest to end the marriage. (BTW-can someone bring up the act that Superman has been BETTER ever since Lois and Clark got married than before? People CAN write stories of married people and still make them appealing to young people. It's stories that make no sense and completely run against a character's nature that turn them off). It's become clear to me that, as good a writer/artist as he can be, he has no idea how to make comics that anyone but he and his little "yes-man" club will enjoy reading. BTW-I love the new Punisher War Journal idea. Seeing the government sanction former bad guys just because they decide to help Uncle Sam? Punisher says " That!"

From upcoming issue solicitations, it still looks like Spider-Man will be torn... but it won't be just about his ID, it'll be where his morality lies which is where we the reader are at.

I think the only reason they did it so soon into CW was because it's been spread across three other books, so dragging it out would have been overkill (of course, Joey Q assured us we'd only need CW, yet somehow half the good events are happening out of the main series....hmmmm). I like the idea, and the writing, just not happy with some of the exectution.

I think that it's a bit early to complain about the execution. . . . like has already been said, we're only 2 issues in. Having Spidey unmask so early just makes me think that we're gonna be in for one hell of a ride for the next 5 issues. I could be wrong though. . . .

How many have there been right now? I'm not too up-to-date on comics, and I just found out about this series. I've seen #1 and #2, are there anymore?

Is frontlines worth getting? I'm heading to my comic shop soon, and I need to know if it's worth getting. If it's not, I'm going to pick some up some back issues of Amazing Spider-man I need. Thanks for any help.

What is the chronological order we're supposed to go in?
I have Civil War #1 & 2 and I like the checklist in the back. But it's in alphabetical order. So I'm wondering where we go to keep the story going after #7. Or are the tie-ins going to be throughout the first seven books?
BTW, I read #1...wow, good stuff. I like the debate in this series. Not just action thus far.

Not just action thus far. Books should be read in the order they come out. If anything is shipping way out of order, there'll probably be a little blurb on the first page that says "Read *insert comic* before you read this issue. If you're not a weekly shopper, check out this site to see when books came out: www.diamondcomics.com/shipping.asp

Bumping this since Civil War 3 came out today.
Without giving any spoilers away, I have to say this series continues to improve. Last issue had a shocker on the last page, and so does this one.
