Honestly the guy was gold on commentary this week, he put over both worker's as well as himself, analysed moves, was quick on his feet, brought up history and he just has a natural charisma that translates into a color commentator role perfectly.
I'm not saying put him in the role full time right now because he's doing great and will make it to the main event. But when he retires or if he can't wrestle anymore it's definantely a position I wouldn't mind seeing him in and one he could definantely fit into well and I believe he could be like JBL to a degree in the area. I miss JBL on commentary as well.
He'd definantely be better than the current crop of color commentators in time.

It'd be better than JBL was. I thought JBL was awful as the color man. One of the reasons I didn't watch SmackDown.

I liked how the current WWE have one guy who hasn't wrestled a real match and a guy who has wrestled. And even then [in JR and King's case] they suck at it

I liked the fact MVP did not give Coach an easy pass for either his (lack of) talent in color commentary, or the painfully obvious attempt to befriend the bad guy.
I mean a true heel needs no approval rating from anyone.
In my eyes it was more about what MVP was saying, not whether he was good or bad in the role. So for a moment he took Elijah Burke's spot as MY Black Pope.

Morriosn is an amazing commentator Morrison is an awful commentator - he has no personality whatsoever and sounds like a robot, when he talks.. During that commentary, he did the exact same thing he reportedly got into trouble backstage for last time - that being, he continually ran down Punk, and sh*t all over him.. I sensed that there was maybe a little real-life jealousy coming through, when he was mocking the crowd chanting for Punk and talking about his MITB win.. PWInsider called it "John Morrison's "now I'm in character, now I'm not" commentary, which ranged from good, to weak to disgusting". I'm not a great fan of MVP - but I'll admit that was a pretty entertaining commentary.. If I had to choose, I'd definitely take MPV's mic work over his ring work.. Coach: "Can I ask a question?" MVP: "No, you can't"
