NHL 2009

Lots of crapfixed up.

The goalies still let in crap goals. A lot of the penalties are bogus. The CPU only has to nudge you for you to lose the puck and I can poke check until my thumbs are sore, but they'll keep the puck. Not to mention if I pokecheck too much, I'll draw a tripping penalty, and every tripping penalty in 08 looks like a dive. Seriously.. the "tripped" player does a swan dive into the ice. A lot of interference calls are bogus, but the CPU can give me a neutral zone hipcheck to a player nowhere near the puck and not get called.

More sliders should definitely be put in. 2k has all the sliders you need to create the perfect playing style - and they'll actually have an effect on the game. Sliders in 08 are practically pointless.

It's a shame, because there's so many little things wrong with 08. I mean, they're just little things, but they add up and before you know it, the game is incredibly average. The stick controls are fantastic and it really makes the game great, but with all of the little whatnots that are wrong, it ruins the entire experience.

- Goalies like 2K8's.

- More indepth player customization.
a. On the goalie side, I want every part of the pad graphic's colors to be changed, like in 2K8. I'd also love to see a slider that can give an option for pad height. That way Brodeur's 34" pads don't look the same as Lundqvist's 38" pads.
b. On the player side, more indepth like I said. Lace colors, glove customization, hate to sound like a broken record, but like 2K8's.

- I'd like to have dekes that actually go by the player's ratings. I don't like how Tomas Holmstrom can deke as well as Pavel Datsyuk.

- Add a trigger button, and give us more moves to use in dekes. Similar to 2K, make it a shoulder button or trigger that you hold. That will start up "fancy deke mode" or whatever you want to call it. Then while holding that, use the right anolog stick to map out a movement that triggers a fancy deke. Maybe you can pick up the puck lacrosse style if you do the right movement, or maybe a between the legs shot. Also make it a option that can be turned off for the more sim minded gamers.

new pads for the goalies in ps2 and a NHL 09 for Wii would also be nice

NHL wouldn't come out on the Wii. The controls would suck and it wouldn't be worth their time & effort.

Sucks, but NHL 09 isn't coming out for PS2. You can see on Gamestop.com it's listed for 360 & PS3 and nothing else. And when EA announced their upcoming games for this year, Madden and NBA Live were there for the PS2, but no NHL

I want to see more realistic hits, well, the hits are good but I want more variety hits instead of the same ol'. I want a Stevens-style hit. I want to knock the players into the bench, break the glass with the player... etc etc.

It'll be more fun to hit with a physical team, hah!
