Well - it seems every year gets more and more interesting - so thought why not have a thread about this year's show.
Candidates fired so far:
Nicholas De-Lacy Brown
Reason fired: Being a very bright and intelligent academic - he somehow managed to mess up the pricing on some very expensive fish - selling lobster at £5!! Ended up losing the team alot of money and was swiftly fired!
Shazia Wahab
Reason fired: The girls made a catastrophic error of getting to the laundry far too late in the day and had trouble trying to get all the laundry done in time. Shazia had come up with a system to ensure none of the customers clothing didn't get mixed up.
However, she realised that if they took the irons from the house, they could finish the ironing overnight. Jenny (project-manager) sent her back to secure the irons - losing foresight that Shazia was the only one who knew the system for the laundry.
It ended up in the girls getting customers clothes mixed up - and being fined £50 for losing 2 shirts by Sir Alan Sugar. Shazia was thus fired for leaving the clothes unattended.
Ian Stringer
Reason fired All talk no action. Was given a simple task of running a succesful themed night at a pub. Having grown up around pubs - it should have been in the bag for Ian - however he foolishly missed the wholesale deadline to buy bulk ingredients and ended up having to fork out over £500 at tesco's.
Due to that - and showing no leadership - he was shown the door.
Simon Smith
Reason fired The nice guy. Given the task to run a portrait selling company for 1 day at Bluewater shopping centre. From the start, Alex (the weasel) and Clare (the fat moaner) - kept trying to undermine Simon's leadership.
Ended up - in Simon losing control of his team and orders spiralling out of control - Loosing Simon customers - and alot of money. Sir Alan - thought Simon was a decent guy but was "out of his depth" - even though Clare should have been fired for her constant moaning and bitching on Simon.
Lindi Mzanga:
Reason fired Being put as the person in charge of marketing/selling - Lindi made a few fatal errors of trying to sell Ice cream to shops which already made their own ice cream - this wasted time in which they could have sold to businesses which actually may have bought a large volume.
She was not vocal enough when Jennifer offered a cinema exclusivity on their ice creams - which undermines distribution of the product itself. Lindi herself then went ahead and offered a chain of pubs exclusivity on their ice creams for 3 months.
This angered Sir Alan - who put Lindi in her place by saying the selling team had no right giving away exclusivity offers without consulting the farmer. For these reasons Lindi was sent back to Birmingham 1st class.
**This Week**
Kevin Shaw:
Reason fired Chose the very tricky theme of creating a card promoting environmental awareness. It seemed Kevin was rail-roaded by Jenni into choosing the theme - forgetting the hypocrisy of the fact that trees would be cut down to make the cards!
In a huff of arrogance, Kevin declared he would pitch to all 3 card companies - and floundered under pressure. In his presentations he came off rude, arrogant, aggresive and abrupt. Only one company bought his cards. Under the scrutiny of Sir Alan, Kevin buckled and tried to use Sara as a scapegoat - angering Sir Alan who knew Kevin was picking at short straws to survive.
For his imcompetence and brash ego - Kevin a.k.a daffyd was fired.
