Well, I just watched the THS episode on That 70's Show, and was suprised how bad the backstage morale was, I mean, I knew about Topher being slightly divided from the other guys, but I never knew about how he would come in, do his lines, and leave straight away.
So, heres the age-old question, who has, at this moment, been the bigger success? Topher Grace, or Ashton Kutcher?
I know alot of you will probs be thinking Kutcher, but, TBH, Topher is the only 1 out of the 2, to star in a huge, Worldwide success, that being Spiderman 3. OK, Kutcher has been in big movies, but none as big as Spiderman 3.
And, looking nto the future, if Spiderman 4 goes ahead with the same cast of 3, then Topher is pretty much as good as in after the backlash of Venom's involvment in 3

Have to go with Ashton.
Punk'd and Demi Moore = More Famous.

I like Ashton way more just for The Butterfly Effect, but when he stars in something as big as Spider-Man, then he will get a vote from me.

Have to go with Topher. May not have had much roles since leaving the show, but he scored major by landing Venom/Brock in Spider-Man 3.Not to mention that he will most likely get signed on to continue playing Venom in the future. That one movie made more cash than any of Ashtons so far so it gives him the win in my book.
And out of all That 70s Show males, Wilmer automatically wins for the list a tang the guy has gotten.

I look at it this way. If you went out and asked 10 random people if they knew who Ashton Kutcher was and who Topher Grace was, more people are going to know Ashton by far.

I haven't liked anything either of them has done outside of That 70s Show, so I'm neutral.

Have you actually SEEN Spiderman 3? If so, you should know Topher isn't a big success.

Right away I wanted to bash Topher because of how bad Spider-Man 3 was and because of the way he portrayed Venom. Then I remembered how everyone bashed a lot of the Star Wars prequel actors. A lot of people hated their performances yet it wasn't their fault. They played it the way the director (Lucas, of course) directed them to. So maybe it is possible that Topher was just taking orders and S3 did not suck because of him.

Yeah it wasn't Topher's fault, but the movie still sucked and he just happened to be in it. Ashton Kutcher hasn't made any gems either, but he keeps his name out there by producing successful shows that people watch. In America success is measured by money, take a guess at who's is bigger?

Spiderman 3 was a weak movie though. It was a HUGE letdown for me, I watched it 3 times to try and prove myself wrong that it was bad, but every time I was disappointed. My vote goes to Ashton.

How good the movie was doesnt mean shit. That is it made a ton of cash and more sequels will continue to make more money. Topher right now is most likely going to continue to be cast in one of the biggest franchises today, while Ashton is stuck doing buddy comedies.

Definitely Ashton. You can tout Spidey 3 all you want, but Ashton has more movies, Demi Moore, he had Punk'd all those years, he's the exec-prod of Beauty & the Geek (not saying it's a good show, but it's in its 3rd season, so someone must be watching), and to be honest, Kelso was always more interesting than Eric anyway.
That's the problem with ensemble-cast sitcoms with central straight-men (e.g. Newhart, That 70s Show, Andy Griffith, etc.)...very rarely is the main character the most entertaining or popular.

Beauty and the Geek is in its 5th season, and I'm watching. Hyde's the best character.
