Its all I listen too. You still have rappers like Lupe, Common, and Lil Wayne. Sure it isn't as good as the good 'ol days, but its still pretty good.

It depends on the artist, if it's MADVILLIAN and his many other characters then it is an automatic listen for me, same with Public Enemy but what's nice about them is that they try to teach you something in there songs which you don't see at all anymore. But other than that I can't really stand anything else.

I like it a lot, as long as the rhymes are clever and they rap over good beats.

Rap sucks, but you really need to listen to (insert indie rap artist here).
It's the most relevant genre of popular music that exists today (except for maybe electronic). I feel sorry for those who haven't realized its potential.

Umm. I love it.
One commercial artist that I think most would agree on at least appreciating for not following the pack is Lupe Fiasco. The guy openly admits to being a nerd in high school..but it doesn't matter because the way he puts his lyrics together is insane. Listen to "Kick, Push" "Hip Hop saved my life" and "Dumb it down"..

C RAP SUCKS! Seriously, The lyrics mean nothing. It's usually 12 year old girls who listen to it. I only like Tupac. Agreed 100% till there.

I can listen to stuff like Eminem, Dr. Dre, old school Snoop Dogg, and a couple Mobb Deep songs from time to time. I also used to listen to Diplomats a LOT. There is some good rap, you just have to look past the stupid dances and annoying lyrics.

Anyone from D12 is cool with me. Im a big rock/alternative fan but I own the D12 albums along with each Eminem album, Bizzare's album, Proof's album, and I'm really hoping for a Kuniva solo album soon.
I can listen to some Wu-Tang clan too. Ghostface Killah and U-God I can always put in and listen.
Some others: Saul Williams, Atmosphere, Jurassic 5, and a few others I'm probably not thinking of.

In my honest opinion, Rap/Hip Hop blows. Criticize me, bash me, do what you want, but in reality, it isn't music.

It's all crap, I don't know if rap kinda goes under this category, if it does, then rap used to be good back in the 80's and early 90's with Public Enemy and some other stuff. But other than that, it is just garbage. The way kids talk and act nowadays is just embarrasing, not being able to speak propper english and where there pants down to their knees and think it's cool to be in gangs and do drugs, etc. Also listen to this music nonstop, they should try listening to real music like Queen or Staind or Creed. Did you just call Staind and Creed "real music"? Maybe real music wasn't the right term, great music is a better term. Along with Metallica, Guns n roses, Aerosmith, etc. And older stuff like the Beegees, Beatles even Neil Diamond. I just don't get how teens could like rap and hip hop, listen to songs like We Are The Champions by Queen, Forever Young by Alphaville, With Arms Wide Open by Creed, More Than a Feeling by Boston, so many more, such great songs with great lyrics, every one of the songs kids listen to has lyrics about drugs, or sex or violence, and such bad messages. But I guess what's ''cool'' is that kinda music so kids have to listen to that music because they have to be ''cool''.

Did you just group Staind and Creed in with Queen, Guns n Roses, and The Beegees? Please don't ever do that ever again. They aren't even in the same league. Queen was brilliant. There is not one brilliant thing about Creed and Staind...who oddly enough have a bakers dozen of songs that sound exactly the same.

Atmosphere, Sage Francis, Subtle, Gym Class Heroes, MURS, etc. I really don't listen to a lot of popular hip hop. I do enjoy Kanye from time to time, but only his newest album. I didn't really like his previous efforts.
