I used to have a lot... like 1 of every charecter. I had them from the two films, forever and And Robin and the animated series. What would a person who wants to start a new collection want to do? Would he or she buy newer ones on the market or tour yardsales and goodwill and ebay for his/her old ones? My favorites were nightwing, twoface with gun and coin, Harley Quinn who was like, rare, and Batgirl who looked like catwoman. I also remember I had the old batcave from batman and robin, 1 half was the wayne manor and the other half was batcave with batman changing tube. Oh the memories... but I remember I sold all of it.
So, any tips on where/how to start a new batman collection?

I think you should try getting some of the better looking Batman figures from the DC direct lines.

Look around online at the newer DC figures like Suckasaid . The new movie Batman is awesome, but you probably wont be able to buy him until May 1st. Also, theres a new Harley Quinn out so look for her too!

You can still get those BTASish 2 packs at Big Lots & Ollies for $5.99. They aren't exactly the same as the older ones, but you may be interested in them. They have Twoface, Joker, Robin, etc. packed with a Batman figure. Also, if you live where there are quite a few yard sales/flea markets, you can usually find the 90's BTAS & movie figures loose for a quarter or 50 cents each every now and then. If all else fails, buy a big lot of 'em on ebay.

I think you should try getting some of the better looking Batman figures from the DC direct lines. Exactly what I was going to say. The DC Superheroes and the DC Direct lines have some great Batman figures. The Hush series has an amazing Batman, Joker, Harley Quinn, Nightwing, Riddler, Alfred, and Commissioner Gordon.

Also if you want an awesome classic Neal Adams Batman, check out DC Universe Classics Wave 1.
