Max better go with Conan since their chemistry together makes the show for me. Michael Showalter would be a great replacement for Conan, I'm a huge fan of The Michael Showalter Showalter. Hell, Buck Showalter would be a step up from Fallon.

I think you all are being a little too hard on Jimmy Fallon, but whatever... opinions are opinions.
I also don't get why it matters that he cracked himself up all the time on SNL. I didn't realize talk show hosts were required to keep a straight face at all times. It might have been a liability on SNL, but I don't think it's even relevant in the context of hosting a talk show.
Having said all that, I don't think he'll last very long as Late Night host. His downfall won't be related to his comedy, it'll be his ability to engage guests in interesting conversations. Conan was awesome at dragging a fun discussion out of guests. I am not sure Fallon will have that skill.

Jimmy Fallon has always been terrible at EVERYTHING. His standup act sucks, he's not funny, his acting is terrible. In every SNL skit that he was in, he would crack up laughing 5 seconds into his line. With that being said, you're right...at least I get to go to bed earlier. AMEN! Not to mention how often he looked right at the camera.

How is he supposed to deliver an effective monologue? "Today, President Bush...pfft...BAHAHAHAHA!"

It's waaaaaay tired the way people make him out to be completely incapable of delivering a line without laughing. Considering he might have cracked up once per Weekend Update segment, in delivering maybe a dozen lines, his laughter is hardly the crippling disease people make it out to be. I'm not a huge fan, but his faults are being blown way out of proportion. He's got issues, but let's not get carried away and make it sound worse than it is.

Naaaaah, if I wanted to blow it way out of proportion, I would've probably said something like, "If Jimmy Fallon had better control over his own laughter, 'Behind the Music: Blue Oyster Cult' would've replaced 'The Sinatra Group' as the greatest SNL sketch of all time."
