At 1:11, that is like one of the biggest pops for a heel I have ever heard.
You?

LMAO, my favorite moment of '08. Orton bitch slapping the ref. Yeah, but the pop when the ref rings for the bell was HUGE!

i lov ehow in a genuine victory situation, the ref can reverse his decision. But when a wrestler purpsoely tries to get DQed the ref goes ahead and DQ's him. I miss hebner and H

You want to hear a massive heel pop? Watch Randy Orton beat Chris Benoit for the World Title at SUmmerslam 04. The crowd goes nuts.

Or Rock vs Brock. The crowd was cheering for Lesnar... over The Rock!
But yeah I started cracking up with Orton slapped the ref.

Yep, I was watching that in a theatre and the whole place erupted. I was ecstatic.

I'm from DC and there was a show a few years back (when Evolution was still around) and Batista was heel but him being from DC he got the biggest pop of the night. I can't remember who he faced but it was some face, and he got DQ'd so he Batista bombed him, the crowd started chanting "ONE MORE TIME!" so he did. It was pretty funny. Also Booker T gets cheered no matter what in DC, it's a predominately black crowd and I'm not trying to generalize or sterotype, but they love Booker T.

When my friend went to the theatre, they were showing Wrestlemania 24, and when Orton kicked HHH and pinned Cena, the place was so loud my friend said, that security came in! And they liked Orton

Remember La Resistance in Montreal, winning the tag gold, that was electrifying!

When Sylvan fought Tatanka in Montreal on a SD! in late 2006... the reaction he got was amazingly ridiculous!

I think they popped because they were thinking "Yay, Cena won".

The amount of DQ's today is just nothing short of sickening. Definitely the worst thing in today's wrestling compared to old times.

There are no heels and faces anymore, certainly the WWE books them as such, however heels don't get the fan reaction quite like they use to...... THE RIGHT REACTION.

Exactly, Umage from this past Monday is a prime example. WWE put on a match the fans didn't like, Umaga came out and destroyed both. Santino started out as a supposed face, fans booed him, WWE turns him heel, fans love him. Kennedy to a lesser extent.
Hell, Show couldn't get ANY heel heat during the Mayweather feud. He'd be on SD, destroying faces, and come back to RAW and get cheered. Mayweather had to throw out money to get the fans to like him... they still didn't.
